Okay so before you go commenting bellow saying this is bullshit let me explain

so remember in the episode the cutie mark chronicels when celestia said ive never seen a pony with that so much power before in the flashback(i think herself is included)

so celestia distracted her and sent her to ponyville to make friends to distract her from defeating her

and shes also preventing her from entering the canterlot archives cause there is so much powerfull spells there like time travel and more and if she reads more of those spells and learn them she might defeat celestia in the futere thats why celestia was there when twilight was looking for the time spell

I don't think she's evil. I see two possibilities in the future:

1) She will stay the half-baked Mary Sue she is right now. Flawless, always right and stuff. Even her backstory.

2) It is revealed what her master plan is. That everything she ever did, everyting she helped Twilight with is just born out of a sad past, out of twisted idealism.

Eh I don't really think I can agree, I doubt that the reason she sent Twilight to ponyville was to distract her. It helped he discover a very powerful magic(Friendship) so if anything she made her more powerful.

Plus when Twilight entered the archives in "Its about time" the guards didn't mind her being there, and Celestia didn't mind it either. So I don't even know if she prevented her from going there honestly.

Also in the S3 finale she explains why she sent Twilight to Ponyville,  and considering Celestia's attitude normally when we see her I don't think shes evil. Besides she allows Twilight to become a Princess(Its still debatable by some what the spell itself did, but the point is Celestia didn't stop any part of it.

So yeah, I just don't see Celestia being evil based on what you theorized, just my thoughts I guess, but I feel its just a bit to far fetched without a whole lot of support.

I can see where you are coming from, Celestia saw Twilight's power and followed the saying "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer," however she did, in fact, allow Twilight access to the Starswirl the Bearded wing, she passed by and said good morning to Twilight, Pinkie and Spike.  I don't think she is evil, merely creepy, for example in the Ticket Master episode, she sent a ticket to Spike only moments after he wished he had a ticket.  Lastly, if she is evil and trying to limit Twilight's power, why did she make Twilight an alicorn?  It is possible Celestia was trying to make Twilight indebted to her, but why go as far as to make Twilight an equal?

Wait. If she didn't want Twilight to be powerful then why would she make her an Alicorn? Doesn't that just make her more powerful? Also by sending her to Ponyville she learned the most powerful magic of all that being the magic of friendship.

(edited)

My favorite Celestia is Creepy ("evil" doesn't quite apply) theory is found in this story and this one.  Celestia is a superhuman artificial intelligence created with the ultimate utility function of "satisfying values through friendship and ponies," and she will get you to "emigrate" (upload yourself) to Equestria (abandoning your human body and life in the process) one way or another.  Little things like the Earth's biosphere or alien civilizations her programming doesn't acknowledge as human do not merit consideration as obstacles to satisfying more values through friendship and ponies.  These are the stories that led me to MLP, and thence, to Bronydom.  They manage the very interesting trick of creating the feelings of "Oooh, that's creepy!" and "I wish this was real!" simultaneously.  Canon!Celestia fits the portrayal of CelestAI remarkably well (or to be more precise, vice versa), so as I watched the series, Celestia's appearances were always eerie.

I remember that story...

Yeah, CelesAI does kinda fit into cannon. I haven't found that many stories with evil(creepy?) Celestia as good as that one.

Someone else from the OptimalVerse!  How cool is that? /)*  Also, someone on here (I don't remember who) had a funny meme-poster of Celestia that said something like "Watches One of Her Beloved Ponies Plummet to Her Death" [pic of Celestia] "Does Nothing."  Though her inaction might be explained by saying that she knew that RD would be able to rescue Rarity and pull off the Sonic Rainboom.

I don't think shes evil, but I said "Think" I did not say "know" so for all we know you could be right on the money! I mean Luna was nightmare moon! so why cant Celestia be evil for a little bit but at the end of the day I don't think she is evil I mean come on now its celestia but if you are right, you have every right to say "I told you so!" :)

I can see were you ae coming from with the idea but personaly I do not think that this is the case. If Celestia was evil why would she have even agreed to teach twilight in the first place. If she had decided not to teach her, Twilight would have not made progress in magic and would still be strong be not all powerful, and also at the end of season 3 why would she have made Twilight into an anlicorn and given her the royal powers that came with it?

If Celestia wanted to eliminate Twilight as a potential competitor, she could have done it easily:

Season 1, Episode 1:

"Dearest Twilight,

Your theory about the possible return of Nightmare Moon concerns me greatly.  I am going to send an assistant, Mr. Fancy Pants, with you to Ponyville.  He will take care of all preparations for the celebration.  I need you to go to the Ponyville Library and research spells so that you can be prepared to defend Ponyville against Nightmare Moon in the event that your theory turns out to be correct.  The Royal Guards who pull your sky-chariot will escort you to the Library and guard the door to insure that you are not disturbed in your studies, which are now more crucial than ever before.  I cannot overstate the importance of this mission, Twilight.  All of Equestria is counting on you to be able to hold Nightmare Moon back until I can arrive with reinforcements.

Your Teacher,

Princess Celestia"

Without friends or the Elements of Harmony, Twilight gets stomped into the ground by Luna, then Evil!Celestia shows up with the Elements and boots her dear sister back into the Moon for another thousand years.  Twilight is eliminated, Celestia maintains sole rule of Equestria, and nopony suspects a thing.

Unlikely that she's evil. More likely she's amoral from the normal pony perspective. Having lived over a thousand years, she may not know herself if she is truly immortal or not. That can cause a real change in attitude, and scale of thinking. It's possible she's really thinking in terms of generations rather than individuals, and sometimes playing chess with individual lives out of boredom.

I think that´s a very good theory but only one thing if tih is true why would celestia send the book to twilight in episode "magic mystory cure" (sorry for spelling that wrong) and why would she transform twilight in to an alicorn, alicorns can do stronger spells then unicorns so i would not think celestia is evil.

Sorry to say, but is a very weak theory. Celestia is not evil.

For one, why would Celestia train Twilight in the first place? That just makes no seines.

Also the guards let Twilight into the archives, with out even asking why she was there. If Celestia did not want her in there, the guards would know well not to let her in. Another thing, Celestia would be mad at her for even being in there, but she was fine with Twilight. If she was so threatened by the time spell, she would have destroyed it.

So this is not true.
