I just re-watched "Magic Duel," and Pinkie is the

 

one who paints Big Mac to look like stallion Applejack.

I just realized something. The first pic, big mac's cutiemark looks like hearts. Hmm, I think Pinkie is hiding l-o-v-e. Idk if she did it on purpose or not because im not pinkie

Maybe Big Mac developed a crush on Pinkie Pie when all of those duplicates invaded the barn raising.  I know that they have interacted with each other at least once because Big Mac helped Pinkie carry the MMM to the train that time.  Not that I think they actually would get married.  But this conversation reminds me of a comic that I thought was kind of cute and sad.

 

I was aware of that.  Part of the reason I brought up this possibility.  It sounded interesting and a bit funny to me.

 

It would be interesting, but it's doubtful..

It's like when some people were predicting that the Failure/Success song from season 3 was about Twilight getting married and whether she wanted it or not.

Well, that's something I read at least.

I don't think that's going to happen. Pinkie doesn't seem like the type to settle down. She has too much energy for that. She also seems way more concerned with friendship than romance. None of the Mane 6 have displayed a real interest in settling down, and Pinks is the least likely to do so.

I highly doubt it. Why? well Pinkie Pie is a social buterfly and Mac in shy. Then why is pinkie there?   Well maybe they where always realitives and they just found out I mean, they and earth ponies and both grew up on a farm so it could happen.

WAT? There is no way that could happen. First of all, Big Mac is older then she is. Not only that she's not old enough to be married anyway. Also they would have to be boyfriend and girlfriend first, and a marriage would mess things up quite a bit. I'm not against the mane 6 having a relationship, but getting married? Thats just going too far.

Plus, the two have nothing in common so it'd be just weird.

 

Sorry guys but Hasbro is not going to let the two get married randomly like that.

I don't want it and I don't think it fits the show at all.... it would be a shocker of a episode though and it reminds me of something simmlar that happend to a character on a anime tokyo mew mew. Personally I think pinkiepie might learn that she is actually a member of the apple family and not the pie family or that the pie family is really a branch of the apple family. I have been thinking of these for along time but if Pinkies Auntie Pie lived in a rock farm like the rest of the ponies why did she know about the mirror pool? Could it be that it was because the pie family used to live in ponyville before Pinkie and her sisters were born if so then there were alot of refrences they keep brining up Pinkies Family randomly in the  last season.

As others have said, it'd be WAY out of the blue for that to happen. They've barely even interacted with each other, if at all. Plus they've already set the stage more or less for Cheerilee, it'd be completely random if they suddenly made him interested in Pinkie.

 

I recall there was mention of an episode in season 4 where Pinkie's sisters would make an appearance. If I were a gambling man, I'd bet that this song might have something to do with that episode.

Pinkie could pull something like Sweetie Belle did and call Applejack her sister after some fight with her family??

It doesnt seem like her character but when I watched the video I thought something along the lines of her becoming a temporary adopted family member

or maybe she wasnt close with her family and wanted to know what it was like to be close, and Applejack is just the pony to go to!

 

although perhaps she is somehow, albeit distantly, related?  Granny Pie, as others have stated, could be an Apple Pie

I feel like your reading too much into the scene, I think this is one of those moments where pinkie pie wasn't actually meant to be there but got roped in and is now just enjoying the ride like pinkie pie does. Maybe she accidentally got thrown into applejacks cart before they left and didn't realize she was there until later? Who knows... Can't wait to find out though

Very doubtful, I haven't even seen Pinkie Pie remotely even take any kind of love interest in Big Macintosh, and vice-versa. The only pony that I think might take up a love intreats is Twilight, because of the whole Flash Sentry thing but, even then Im still not entirely sure anything is going to happen between them beyond the EqG movie.

I think you have something there but as Pinkie doesn't KNOW big mac that well.... what if it's Applejack??? I will laugh so hard then cheer (i don't even ship this) but it would make sense right? I mean other than being married into the family why else would she be singing an apple family song on an apple family trip? so I've kind of wondered because they kind of hint at it (fangirl goggles) especially in EG they were the only two who remained friends out of the six they were almost always standing next to each other I didn't even ship it before but now..... is this to much to hope for?

First of all, age difference is not important.  He's probably about three years older than her.

 

Also, how would you know the age of consent in Equestria?  Not only that, the ages of the mane six haven't been made official, so the writers could change it on a whim.

I think that people are reading way too much into this.  Most likely scenario, IMO, is that Pinkie's just along for the ride.  Maybe she's trying to learn about the meaning of family since she's so distant from her own.

I can't see it happening. Pinkie seems like the type to not want to be tied down. Besides, where do some of these random ships come from, lol? PinkieMac does seem somewhat canon though. Mac does know her too. The two most likely mares for him are Cheerilee and Twilight. Those two are quite canon.

Hopefully Hasbro isn't dumb enough to actually do that. I mean since when did MLP started to introduce love interest like this? I thnk linking Pinkie Pie as a family member is pretty cool, but not making her and Macintosh marry each other. That would just be stupid.
