What's your least favorite word?

Sugar Pea

Recommended Posts

"Faggot" - A previous forum I was on used it all the time. Yes, the community is that hateful. I do not regret intentionally getting myself banned.

"Autism/Autistic" - Also used for insults nowadays, and I find it really offensive.

"Gay" - How can an inanimate object have a sexual orientation? Besides, what's wrong with being homosexual?

"Bruv" - Do I LOOK like I'm in a gang? I look more like I'm telling you to piss off!

Here is the one word that makes me want to fly off my chair in a fit of rage...

Literally. I literally went down a fellow's throat for misusing this word and toured the entire digestive system! Literally is so frequently misused it throws me into a bigger rage than "your" and "you're!" You can't literally die and type out your facebook status!

After all the misuse, it doesn't even sound right anymore when it's used in its proper context.

This.

It makes me wonder if the person using it is disconnected from reality (and cannot tell what is literally happening from what is figuratively happening) or if they're just so melodramatic that they feel the need to inject fake gravitas into whatever lame story they're telling.

YOLO is a word I loathe entirely! If I here it, I will turn into Terminator and destroy the speaker (just kidding.)

I actually don't mind most words. I just hate when they're so over used.

Maybe I just don't spend enough time with teenagers (hah, like anybody would ever say that and mean it), but I've never actually heard anybody say "YOLO" in anything other than a sarcastic tone.

What is YOLO anyway? I have never actually seen or heard it being used apart from here on this very thread. Is this word found mostly in certain states or cities as I live in Utah and have never found this word used.

I've mostly heard it used sarcastically, but I just hate the word. I may not hear it, but I seem to see it a lot online. Thankfully it seems to be dying off a little bit.  :yay:

Noob, [racism 1] "because people use it as slang and the real defenition isn't as good, but I always thiught it was a scientific term for candy idk why", and yolo, because it sounds stupid.

On the side note, if [racism 1] is used for steriotype jokes, I'm okay with it, if it's use as a way to be rasist, I just don't say a thing because I don't want to start a fight, but if it's used for slang, I will yell words I shouldn't say but will say anyway, because I don't give a damn.

This will sound extremely sexist, and I don't mean it to me, but the word girl really bothers me. I can't really explain why but it does.

As the person above me said, I don't like that word either. :/

Words I hate:

  1. Pie - The p sound drives me nuts
  2. Sizzle - ssssssssssssssssss
  3. zebra - I don't like sssss or zzzz sounding words in general

I usually hate words that make me spit.

- Gay/Faggot. Seriously, how did a word used to describe homosexuals and (previously) happiness come around to being used as an insult? And even more, why do people use it? Could they not think of other proper words to use as insults? And Faggot is just inexcusable.

- Beastiality. It's such a horrible-sounding word, and has a definition to match.

- Bollocks. British slang for testicles, or another way of saying "nonsense". Never really liked using this for the latter, and especially not the prior! It's a surprisingly popular term, which makes it all the worse :/

But there is a commonly disliked word, that being "affect". I quite like that word, but that's probably because I know how to use it and not mistake where it should go and put "effect" instead.

Wow, I seem to share several things in common with all you guys.

Gay- It seems like it's not even used to describe homosexuality of happiness anymore. Its way to overused now to describe just about anything that the user thinks is dumb or not of their interest. I also feel like strangling some Youtubers whenever I see them comment on a science video, saying: "FAKE AND GAY!"

YOLO- Does it really need to be explained? I will sometimes mock users of that word, and it's sometimes hilarious.

Swag- The word's annoying as hell sometimes. Nonetheless, I like to mock users of that word as well. #SWAG #SWAGG #SWAGGER #SWWAGAagaG!!

Ahh just shut up!

It sounds hideous as well.

Moist I don know why but it just sounds horrible!

I also don't like any swear words (but less of how they sound and more the principle of them).

I completely agree and I just want to add my own least favorite word:

I really dislike it when people say, "I axed you a question" or "be more pacific." It gets me sooooooo ticked off.

I have returned! Again. sleep.png
