Say, your friend, was a brony *Or pegasister*. Then one day, she/he says he is now an Anti-Brony, what do you do? I know its not really a big deal, but how would you react?

No really, I'd rather not argue against them, I don't want to loose a friend, so the best way is to accept their new choice, and continue being a friend towards them.

I was just really curious, because my other friend is a hard core MLP pegasister, and if she saw another friend become a anti-brony, or a non-brony, she would freak out.

I'd figure out what the hell's wrong with them. You don't just go from enjoying something to not liking something without some viable reason, and there really is none right now.

 

Of course, that's really a hypothetical I don't see myself experiencing, because I really only make friends with intelligent people anyway.

I have several anti-brony friends. Sometimes I tease them by bringing up pony-related topics, but normally neither of us really care what the other thinks. Of course, I'm not one of those assholes who talk about MLP to the exclusion of all else. In fact, I don't talk about it all that much. I don't bug them with it, they don't bug me with it, all is good.

 

Of course, if I start catching shit for liking the show with little provocation, then things go downhill. I don't deal with that crap, anyone who knows me understands this.

I'd probably be a little concerned and saddened by the fact that one of my only IRL friends who was a brony and good fan of the show is now acting all polar opposite about it. Really, there's hardly any bronies around here in Southern California so it would really suck if this happened to such a rarity.

 

I'd definitely ask why and if he/she gives me a reasonable explanation then I may do some friendly argument with him/her. If my friend turns out to be really serious about hating the show then I'll have no choice but to kindly respect his/her opinion. (:

 

Sure, it would suck to lose the only IRL brony friend I never had lol.. but I still always have you awesome friends on here at least! (:

What does anti-brony even mean?  Is it like anti-christ?

Sometimes I wonder whether my "best friend" really does have a problem, she seems to stop at nothing to protest as an "anti-brony" would. I unintentionally left enough evidence lying around for her to put two and two together, and she hasn't left a single opportunity to tease me about it since.

I don't understand why she is so ruthless, and why she can't just accept that I like it. And I'm the one who ends up beating myself because I shouldn't have to even worry - what's the big deal about me liking the show? Exactly, there ain't one. She really pisses me off sometimes.

I'm usually a really good debator, I've turned several ant-bronies to the herd already but honestly, it would depend on their level of hate... for instance, if he/she said they just thought it was girly, then I wouldn't mind much. But if its like guys you see on the internet... they're gonna get bronyfied by my persuasive attitude and debating skill!

I have a friend who is a hardcore brony and one who hates them, and theyre kinda friends.  The one who hates bronies just jokes around my other friend and takes jabs at him, but it's not vicious or anything.  If youre friends, he could show some disdain but tolerate it as long as you arent shoving it down his throat or obsessing about it around him.  unless your friend is a complete dick and doesnt want to be friends because you like a tv show, then it's not worth being friends with someone like that anyway.

Definitely talk to them about it, discuss the matter, find out why, maybe remind them of the good times, maybe convince them to return to the herd. If their reasoning is sound, I'll just have to accept it. Then ask if I can have all their MLP swag if they're really serious about it.

 

I mean if they just have a new commitment in life or just have no more passion or excitement for the show anymore I can probably get that, but if something truly turned them off or forced them out, I'm going to try and convince them to get back in.

Other then hating MLP they're cool, i don't exactly hang around many people much anyways, and i'm not that close to them but yeah.

 

I didn't do anything, i'm to shy and it'd be pointless except making arguments and hurting friendships to tell them.

 

So i don't do much of anything really . Besides not tell them about MLP.

I don't talk one of my friends a lot (Suspected Anti-Brony) But my other friend doesn't mind he said to me "I'm not a Brony myself But I support the Brony community for fighting to do what they like best" So I like him (Suspected Brony) Eh so if I'm ever talking about ponies I just talk to my supportive friend, Wait....
