Well besides English and Hungarian (the two languages I speak well) I really like Japanese. Would like to learn it sometime. And I might be a minority on this but I really like the way German sounds. I'm learning German right now and I find it really hard and confusing but I'm enjoying it!

Same as DerpLeOtakuz, I really wanna learn Japanese to understand anime a lot better without subtitles, being able to read and speak the language would be great if I could one day.

I did learn French for 5 years at school, and hated it so I forgot it now. Hopefully that won't happen with Japanese if I were to learn it Dx

It seems that Japanese is popular. I know some of it. I also like it more than English. I wish I had been taught that language instead of English when I was younger.

Ah.

I know a bit from a friend, and all the anime series I've watched.

However, I still want to learn it.

I would say that there are some sites that can help you to teach yourself. It certainly isn't easy but I like to say that if you can learn English then you can learn Japanese too! happy.png

Well aside from English (which I only "like" because I speak it), I like:

-Russian (learning it)
-Japanese (knew a bit of it in high school)
-Chinese (if I'm masochistic enough, I may attempt to learn it)
-Greek (the language of the New Testament and the philosophical greats)
-Latin (it's ancient and epic! what more needs to be said?)

My absolute favorite is Italian.  I mean, they use vowels all the time and it sounds great!  Also, by being French, I have a huge advantage while learning it because I can guess at least half the words right.  The vocabulary gets stuck in my head like water to sponge.  I also love the Scandinavian languages, Japanese and German.  I'm a language lover so I love a lot of them.  The languages I don't like are mainly English (sorry guys, but English is practical, nothing more)  and Spanish (I don't like the sound of it, though I'll learn it anyway since I already have a solid basis).

And, I'll say I learned to love French by learning English and meeting tons of people who were obsessed with it.  I feel silly for ever disliking it, even the rules are complicated as hell.

Edit:  For the hell of it, I made a list showing in order of preference how I class the languages I know enough.

1. Italian

2. French

3. Spanish

4. English

English will probably stay at the bottom, though.

I love love love German, there's just something about it that I just like.

Japanese sounds so cute when spoken, and I know some colors but I don't think I could actually learn the entire language.

In my opinion English is the most ugly and frustrating languages ever.

English is weird. img-2010463-1-derpy_emoticon1.png

Dude, I completely agree.  English makes no sense at all.

Personally, I really like German and Irish.  I haven't gotten around to learning them quite yet, but they're high on my list.  I also like Spanish and Italian, but that's partly because I am mostly conversationally fluent in Spanish and am learning Italian right now.

I like learning more Gujarati, Hindi, and Spanish on my free time. Gujarat is the state in India where my parents are from, and Gujarati is the language spoken there. Hindi and English are the official languages of India, and English is one of the official languages in India due to its practical use in areas such as business and politics.

That being said, I also love Sanskrit because it is the language of ancient India.

I only speak English fluently, but I have learned some French and German and I like them both, especially French. I also enjoy Russian, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Latin.

I like German. The school system forced me to take French through a majority of my schooling. In grade 10, I switched schools and their French course scared me. I was still required to take a language so I decided to pick up German, a language I wasn't expected to know anything about before hand.

I think I learned more in the 2 years I took than I did in 9 years of French classes. I'm confident that if I wanted to, I could just pick up a book and start learning where I left off.

I also like Python if that counts for anything :P

I like Japanese, and wish I wasn't so unmotivated so that I could learn the language. I'd like to visit Japan one day, so knowing the native language would come in handy.

I wonder why ponies are saying that English is hard or frustrating. img-2010890-1-huh.png It's actually very simple to learn. I wonder what specific aspects made it hard to learn.

English is a very contrary language...

Whenever they go over there, their friends say they're glad to see them.

When I asked if I should turn left, he said "That's right".

I don't know whether to check the weather on a news site, or to just look out the window and take in the sight.

I blew until I was blue in the face, but the candle wouldn't go out.
