Sugar Pea 2,682 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 (edited) Even though we know that 99% of images we see in a magazine are photoshopped...but does that still stop us from feeling insecure about our own looks? Do they pound YOU with insecurity?Be honest. Edited November 29, 2013 by Nature Of Fluttershy 2 ℓ٥ﻻ ﻉ√٥υ
Sir.Flutter Hooves 2,953 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 Honestly, no. First off, I don't read alot of magazines with photoshoped people, and when I do I feel sorry for them, not myself. Aparently the people of the magazines feel that they're not pretty enough to be on without photoshop, and that's the sad part. I'm happy with the way I look, and so should you guys. 6 This fantastic signature is made my by awesome friend Rainbow Skywalker!
GameytheGeemer 147 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 They don't pound me with insecurity. Partially because I know how to do that stuff. If anypony wants I can make a set of instructions to do that so you can photoshop yourself. 2 http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/chain-mail-r4581 (Chain Mail) http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/silent-blade-r5285 (Silent Blade)
Scootalove 10,689 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 They don't pound me with insecurity, I feel sorry for them because they actually put time into photoshopping images. I'm happy with the way that I look since, that's all that I have left. 2 Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Thunderchild 875 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 (edited) Not at all. I'm sure the demographic most affected would be a hell of a lot younger than me, and female. I suppose the crossover for guys would be stuff like 'Muscle And Fitness'-where everyone's contest ready and oiled up-makes you think that if you don't look that way you're failing in some respect-not realizing of course, that the folks in the magazines are loaded with steroids and don't look that way themselves 95% of the time. Grand_Finale 529 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 Hm, well I might as well play devils advocate XD yes, occasionally photoshopped images can get the best of me, even though I know they arent real. To be completely honest its people in the real world that get to me even more. Some of the girls in my school are insanely skinny, but its just because of their body type. I have a vit of a curvier figure, so seeing these girls in my school can get a bit irritating. oops, got off topic. But yeah, the pictures in magazines dont get to me as much as the real world does 2 Grand FInale:http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/grand-finale-r3742 Caramel Corn:http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/caramel-corn-r4029 Tarot:http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/tarot-r4090 Siren Song:http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/siren-song-r4586
Dark Qiviut 22,444 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 (edited) Not one damn bit. Quite frankly, whenever I see a person photoshopped, I get disgusted. By photoshopping people's bodies, the companies continually promote an archaic vision of idealistic humans and, therefore, make me believe the companies are the more insecure party. Smarts 1,623 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 Honestly, no. The fact that they have to use photoshop to make themselves look better just makes me think how pathetic they actually are. 2 IF is best girl.
Zygen 6,066 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 Meh, as much as i don't have a bunch of self confidence, magazines don't affect my confidence ;p. So no, i don't think that having the apparently "perfect" look is that important, especially with how subjective that is. Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Wayzer 1,418 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 Hell really most guys don't care about real women looking different then the ones in the magazines (If they're like me at least). I really hate that fake as hell stuff. :okiedokielokie: Honestly, no. The fact that they have to use photoshop to make themselves look better just makes me think how pathetic they actually are. Neon Fire 473 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 No, I don't care about people on magazines. I'm fine with how I look and I know there will be people who don't like how I look, and others who do. So I have no problem.
noodlepup3 31 November 29, 2013 Share November 29, 2013 No offence to anyone but unless if it is just fixing the lighting on the picture or making a FEW SMALL changes I hate people Photoshopping magazines because that they dont really look like that. They are lying about what they really look like. Some of the pictures on there dont even look realistic when they are suppost to be. Thats because they Photoshop everyone to look PERFECT but nobody (or nopony) is perfect. They should just except that fact and move on. "I have always liked ponys and I always will."
