Looks just like a weird shadow effect to me, but then again I'm not fully familiar with the Slenderman meme. Maybe it could just be the Pony of Shadows creeping up on them?

Yeah, I see it now after seeing the gif image of it. Really, no matter how much you zoom in on it, most people won't notice it without seeing Slendermane actually moving. That's what it took me to realize that it wasn't just some discolored shrubbery in the background and it was actually what everyone was saying it was.
