Why is Rarity considered a sexual deviant by some of the fandom?

So every so often I see art and memes of Rarity on the internet, and she is often presented as a sexual deviant. I mean, I don't see Rarity as that... I see her as romantic, and this common theme seems pretty far from it to me.

as for normal rarity, i imagine is because she puts on airs so much to look all classy that she sort of compensates by being unusually kinky in terms of bedroom antics... but thats just my reasoning. XD

The only person I've ever seen draw rarity as uber-kinky was Lil Miss Jaye, the guy behind Lil' Miss Rarity, so I don't know what you're talking about.

By that logic all the ponies are considered "sexual deviants" because they all have porn of them and I mean ALL of them even some OC's, it is a little concept called rule 34 which is simply "if it exists there is porn of it". And another thing is that despite the fact there is a lot and I mean a lot of Rarity R34 out there I can say with confidence that Rarity is not the pony with the most R34, she and Applejack tend to switch back and forth between 5th and 6th place. It is Twilight who has the most R34 which is understandable because the whole sexy librarian thing is really really hot. One reason why R34 of Rarity in particular might appeal to some is other than having an appearance and personality that some find attractive the whole "defiling" a "proper lady" theme is very common in R34 and porn in general.

 

Most of us know that Rarity wouldn't service just any random stallion (or mare in some R34), but it is very very common for the character to be out of character in R34 because it is fantasy. Although I think the argument that the ponies having any sexual side at all being out of character to not be entirely the case of course they won't ever mention it in the show but it has been confirmed in the show that mares do in fact get pregnant and we all know how that happens. Even though it will never be in the show I could easily see Rarity making love to the stallion of her dreams and not just because I am a clopper.

I think it is because of how people view her R34, especially with Little Miss Rarity. You haven't seen the half of it, I wouldn't see Rarity falling for a stallion in a sexual way but in the world of R34 I'm not surprised. People have their own fascination in R34 and porn, so it's not exactly a problem to me.

@@Malinter is spot on with his analysis. There exists a timeless perception of classy and elegant women as being either kinky or wild behind closed doors and in the bedroom. Combine that with the fact that Rarity at one point had a dark side to her, i.e. Nightmare Rarity, and it's not hard to see where this perception of Rarity as being sexually deviant stemmed from.

A lot of it is probably due to the overwhelming amount of BDSM R34 with her, if you want my honest take on it.

 

Another reason could be the fact she puts forth effort to look good; no too many other ponies wear eyeshadow, you know. (which, her eyeshadow is one of my most favorite things about her design ) By extension, people probably wonder why she wants to look so good, which, due to the increasingly perverse minds us humans have, and how we often display that a lot more behind the monitor than we do in real life, it leads us to think "Sex."

 

I always pictured Fluttershy being more of a sexual deviant than Rares, personally () but that's just me.

isn't it because she tries to be literally beautiful and cares about her appearance more than the other ponies, also we've seen her using her sex appeal for her convenience, like with the nerd pony.

Heck I'm guilty of drawing her sexy, always with the same sexy gaze looking at your screen in a sexy pose, but I wouldn't draw her doing porn or anything like that.

Interesting. I once looked up Google search volumes on these things (for curiosity's sake, you understand) and they agree with most of your observations, except for Twilight being the top. From memory, the numbers went something like this

-Most side characters: 1000-3000 monthly searches

-Most members of the Mane 6: Around 3000 monthly searches

-Fluttershy: Around 5000 monthly searches

-Rainbow Dash: Around 12,500 monthly searches. I'm not kidding.

 

In terms of why the fandom sees Rarity as a sexual deviant, I guess it's a case of posh=sexy=sexual deviant. It's a bit like with Pinkie how crazy and sociable=promiscuous=sexual deviant. In fact, you could really do this with just about any character if you wanted to.

Out of all the reasons why most people hate rarity, THIS is the main one I hate....

 

Looks alone doesn't mean you can come up with the conclusion that your a whore or someone who's a seductress.

 

Now, I guess most state this thanks to rarity's "seducing" scene in putting your hoof down with the nerd pony.

 

But even then, most fail to notice her personality and well being to know that it's her actions and dreams that makes her best pony, and not some kind of sexual deviant. 

 

In the end, I'll still love rarity for being one of the rarest characters that is beautiful alone due to her personality and well being.

How about we use the term sexually bold, instead of deviant? It strikes me as being seriously judgmental to label something deviant, just because you're personally not into it.
