CastletonSnob 3,094 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 Yoko Shimomura. She did an AMAZING job on the soundtrack for Super Mario RPG, which is part of the reason it's one of my favorite games of all time.

Nuke87654 1,849 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 (edited) One of my personal favorites is Daisuke Ishiwatari of Guilty Gear and Blazblue fighting game series fame. Not only is he a composer but he's also a musician, voice actor (original voice for Sol Badguy), illustrator, and a video game developer. Seriously he's a renaissance man when it comes to video games. Here are some examples of his musical awesomeness for you to enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqfH99Hnxrc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfFjzAXyIwA Apparently I'm limited to two youtube vids. Discordian 6,023 February 26, 2014 Share February 26, 2014 Shoji Meguro. I always, always, always love his work. I'm also a fan of Tenpei Sato (who composes for the Disgaea games and such; I love his style and instrument choice) and Masashi Hamauzu (mostly for his work on the Final Fantasy XIII games). Blinded by Light Definitely gotta say that this guy is pretty amazing. The SMT series easily has some of my favorite video game music of all time and I've only played about four games in the series so far! Nocturne being my favorite so far I've had high hopes for SMTIV. According to a friend of mine SMTIV is pretty much better than Nocturne in every way...and he loves Nocturne more than I do! One of my personal favorites is Daisuke Ishiwatari of Guilty Gear and Blazblue fighting game series fame. Not only is he a composer but he's also a musician, voice actor (original voice for Sol Badguy), illustrator, and a video game developer. I had many more to share. I definitely love the music from these franchises. Used to have some Guilty Gear music on my MP3 Player. Baiken and Dizzy's themes from GGXXACP were the ones I listened to most often. I can't wait for Xrd Sign.

Though, Steve Jablonsky's work on CnC 3, and Inon Zur's work with the fallout franchise, are also amazing. 1 My YouTube Channel My Deviantart

Kyoshi Frost Wolf 42,205 July 23, 2014 Share July 23, 2014 I need to look into more video game composers, there are a lot of great ones out there. The two that immediately come to my for me though are Dave Wise (Famous the the music of the Donkey Kong Country series) and Nobuo Uematsu (Famous for the amazing Final Fantasy music, from 7 to 10 I believe). Those are just a couple of really good examples. I listen to a lot of their music. Aquatic Ambience and Stickerbrush Symphony are my favorites from Wise and my favorites from Uematsu, too many to list. Redeem me into childhood. Show me myself without a shell. Ziggy + Angel + Rain 11,307 July 23, 2014 Share July 23, 2014 Jeremy Soule, definitely. He's the genius that composed the soundtracks for Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim Before he composed for Elder Scrolls, Jeremy Soule composed the soundtrack for a (perhaps underappreciated) SNES action-RPG called "Secret of Evermore": Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu, and Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka (he and Keiichi Suzuki are responsible for my favorite video game soundtrack) are among my faves. David Wise impresses, as well. 1 "It uses the faculty of what you call imagination. But that does not mean making things up. Ashen Pathfinder 16,165 July 24, 2014 Share July 24, 2014 Jeremy Soule is easily tops for me. His work on Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim is just...genius. I also love Stuart Chatwood (Prince of Persia), Stewart Copeland (Spyro the Dragon), Inon Zur (Prince of Persia, Dragon Age), Adam Skorupa (Witcher), Ko Otani (Shadow of the Colossus), and others. I just love game music.
