Also, guys, we were all just joking yesterday. Nobody was taking it seriously, it makes no sense to ruin the whole thing over that. Maybe some people went too far with the jokes (and I'd probably be included in that if people really took it seriously), but there was no real drama. 

 

Some people took it too far, and insults and inappropriate images where used.

Even if it was decided the posts should be removed and that the users shouldn't be saying the particular things, what sense is there in ruining everything and making the whole contest completely unfair and destroyed by removing the actual votes. It doesn't even matter who wins anymore, it won't be a fair winning. I still hope Pinkie wins, but even if she does I'll admit it wasn't a fair victory and that I wish we could know who really would have won.  :okiedokielokie:

I honestly think this March Madness should just be scrapped this year, and put in some proper rules when it happens again next year.

Whoever wins this year technically won't have won fairly so there's no point carrying it on.

It looks as if the intended purpose of this all-inclusive championship isn't working, so I'm going to step in here to set things straight for everyone. You are here to defend your corners with respect and good spirit. It's time to put former scraps in the past and take what is handed to you.

 

From here on out, any mention of unfair play in the semi-finals will be hidden. Repeat offenders of this can expect to be penalized. We all saw what direction this thread took when those types of rumours were rampant.

I'm just getting back for the first time after I saw the revised system for the tournament finals. I no longer feel this is the solution for last night's problems. This sudden last minute change of plans is very WWE-esque. It's like Teddy Long grabbing the microphone while a match is in progress and changing the wrestlers and the stakes on the spot. That works great in sports entertainment but it's not the best way to resolve the issues of a member based poll. Sugar Cube summed those sentiments up the best.

 

 

 

While the new free for all championship match is an interesting idea, it renders the previous round, that all four fanbases fought feverishly in, a complete waste. All of the time and effort put into bringing our favorite ponies to victory was for naught. What was the point?

 

Well put. Admittedly, things got very heated last night. Moreover, it's almost impossible to keep a vote of this nature totally free of corruption. But Doctor XFizzle, the moderators, and admins did their best to assure a level playing field. All things considered, it's amazing that both Final Four matches were so close right down to the wire. But at the stroke of 12:31 pm ET, Applejack had a few more votes than Fluttershy. If AJ was declared the victor, I was going to vote for her in the championship round against Rarity or Pinkie anyway. Therefore, I now give my vote worth one half of a point to AJ.  It's what Fluttershy would want me to do.

I see why they did this. So there would be no more alliance voting. And all fans behind these ponies fought hard, so all should be proud. Win or lose, AJ and Rares will get a lot more respect for making it this far.
