I can never decide between Twilight and Rarity, they're on the same love level for me. My favorite over all is Luna. I think her character has already shown a lot of interesting traits in very little screen time and has great potential to do more. I love all of them though.

I usually go for the underdogs like Applejack and Rarity. I think Twilight and Rainbow Dash get a bit too much attention while Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy are either balanced or tipping near overrated.

 

I can understand why so many people like Rainbow Dash and Twilight because they are so relateable. Heck even I'm a lot like Twilight.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash was hard to choose for Main Pony, but Fluttershy is just... to adorable, Apple Bloom is best Secondary Pony, Best Background Pony is Lyra.

I really adore Rarity, and since I first started watching the show, Pinkie Pie's really grown on me.

I also have a sweet spot for Fluttershy's soft spoken nature, too.

MLP has a lot of really great characters, but these three are definitely my favourite ponies.

 

Outside of the mane six, I really enjoyed the Flim Flam Brothers.

Anyhow, yeah, how can you not love Pinkie Pie? (Also Derpy Hooves!) This is especially true when you spend 99% of the time bouncing off the walls, and being an intelligent ditz.

My favorite "secondary" is Princess Celestia, she deserves more love. 

Finally, my favorite "Tertiary" is Octavia, I do enjoy multiple genres of music, one of which being Classical.

I know I've posted in this thread several times, but I think it's time I finally established something here.

 

Twilight Sparkle has always been up there as one of my favorite ponies. She's nerdy, arguably OCD and very organized. She also panics a lot over things which is something I myself do a lot of.

 

However there's a problem...

 

I find I share personality traits with all the mane six.

 

I can be hesitant and shy. (Fluttershy.) I can be nerdy and OCD. (Twilight) I can be a perfectionest and worrier, and am ocassionally disgusted by stupid things. (Rarity) I have strong morals on honesty and treatment of others. (Applejack) I can be insanely hyper and ADHD at times. (Pinkie) And finally I sometimes try hard to impress those around me or whom I look up to. (Rainbow Dash)

 

I think this can be said about a lot of bronies and pegasisters. But with all that said, I have to say that I share the most traits with Twilight.

 

This may not be something to decide a favorite on. If it was based on how much I legitimately like a character and find them interesting, I would actually have to say Applejack wins. She's got a pretty clever personality and backstory if you ask me.

 

TL;DR: Really by this point I don't have a favorite pony any more. :u

I love Applejack for a few reasons. She's brave, stubborn, and loyal. She loves helping her friends and usually puts that before anything else. She loves her family and would do anything for them (sometimes TOO much). And she's a natural leader.

 

And Luna is best princess. Because she is. It's a fact.

For me it's a close battle between all of them.In the end it boiled down to this:

 

Main 6 - Rarity.

My reasoning behind this descision was that Rarity is the most human(in my opinion)out of all of the ponies in general.I think I can relate to her very easily.She's also misunderstood by a lot of fans and that makes me like her all the more.You really have to understand her character to get what she's really about.A lot of people think she's selfish but I think she's merely reserved.She was willing to lose her buisness to make her friends happy and is shown to have a lot of self esteem issues.

Although,I must say my descision between main six is difficult because from what I've seen..Most people choose the pony of the main six they relate to most..I think that I relate to most of them minus Rainbow Dash.

 

Background ponies/secondary characters - Granny Smith,Zecora(I realise she's a Zebra).

Once again this was a close descision but I easily swayed to these two first.I've loved Granny Smith since I first saw her.I find her antics a mixture of adorable and hilarious..I'm not ashamed to say I find her cuter than Fluttershy.Not to mention when we get the chance to see her as a filly.So pretty!I really love the character design.

 

Zecora is amazing to me because she's so unique.I love that she stands out of the crowd and yet she's so mysterious and reserved.She's easily more knowledgeable than the likes of Twilight(possibly even celestia)and although she's quite kind she still has a bit of fire about her.

 

 

Just my opinions though like I said,I love each and every pony because something makes each of them special in their own way.
