  1. This man knows his beer! PBR is best beer, and practically the cheapest to boot! However, as to the OP's comment about waiting until the legal age, that takes all the fun out of it according to my over-21 friends. I don't personally like drinking to the point where I black out or throw up, but I see no harm in getting buzzed with friends every now and again on the weekend, despite being 18.
  2. Sort of... but with lots of limits. It can't be Mane 6 shipping, that changes their character, which I'm against. So it has to be background ponies, like Octavia/Vinyl, Bon-Bon/Lyra, Colgate/Berry Punch, etc. And it absolutely CANNOT be NSFW/Rule 34. Cuddling, hugging, that sort of thing? Sure, its kinda cute. Graphic sex acts? That'd be a big N-O. Basically it needs to be PG, tasteful, and with background ponies only.
  3. Although I generally stay out of trouble at school besides the occasional detention, I got in a fight in 6th grade with this retarded idiotic kid who thought he was all that because he played football and I played soccer, which is obviously for gays and pussies. Duh. So anyways, I got a 3 day suspension for fighting, while he got a one day in-school suspension (read: no punishment at all). He threw the first punch and I took the fall? Why? His parents donated a large sum of money to the school each year. Figures......
  4. I work as a seasonal lifeguard, and the first time I had to save a kid from drowning I was almost as scared as the kid! I was so sure I was going to flub up and let him die! Irrational? Sure, but it didn't feel that way at the time!
  5. Don't ask me. I personally love Walmart! Whenever I go in there I feel like I'm at the top of the gene pool, consistently! Just stepping inside is an insta-ego boost!
  6. Although I don't hate The Little Mermaid in any way, and I really love Poor Unfortunate Souls, I just have to come out and say it........ ARIEL DOESN'T HAVE ANY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Alright, now that I have that out of the way, let me explain why I think that: Ariel starts out the movie complaining and, well, whining about not being able to be on the surface world, despite being a bucking princess of Atlantis. I mean, Part of Your World is just her griping in a musical fashion. Her father won't give her what she wants, so she runs off to Ursala, who gives her an obviously bad deal, and she stupidly accepts. Her selfish choice to do whatever the hell she wants, and thinking she knows better than her father, almost gets the whole world destroyed. And then at the end of the movie, her father just gives her what she wants like a spoiled brat! She didn't learn anything, she just whined, complained, nearly caused Armageddon, then got what she had been griping about. Not a bad movie per sea, but I couldn't stand Ariel. I mean, she's 16? How many 16 year old girls know exactly where they want their lives to be going and stick to that plan? Alright, rant over. But actually, my least favorite Disney Musical is Home on the Range. Do I really need to explain this one?
  7. I absolutely love this! I don't know what to say, words don't really do this justice! Fits Luna perfectly! Well done, bro, well done indeed! /)
  8. I used to be emotional, but I've become quite jaded and cynical. I usually am in a state of apathetic sarcasm. However, just yesterday I saw Snowdrop, and damn, I was so touched! So yeah, I have my moments of high emotions, but normally I hover at neutral. I'm rarely upset/sad, but also rarely giddy/joyful. I think that people who are overly emotional lose the true meaning of emotions. Overusing them devalues them.
  9. Twilight: Reclusive bookworm, spends all her time in the library Rainbow Dash: Jocks Pinkie Pie: The Party hard group. Would get a DUI before her 6 months are up, guaranteed. Applejack: The Redneck group Rarity: The fashion obsessed 'plastics' like the ones in Mean Girls. Fluttershy: Straight up loner.
  10. I came expecting to see a regular NCAA bracket for March Madness... I instead got something even greater! I love college basketball, but ponies and march madness?? SO AWESOME!!!!
  11. I honestly didn't like it, but I knew that I must be missing something, that there had to be something good about the show that had all the grown men raving. Since I was in bed sick the weekend I first watched the show, it wasn't like I had anything better to do, so I watched a few more episodes and those made me grow on the show considerably. I guess the pilot did its job by introducing me to the Mane 6 effectively, if in a somewhat bland manner. But at the end of the day, I still became a fan, so it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of life.
  12. Hey, is anybody else still sort embarrassed by the theme song of MLP? Every time I watch an episode, I have to skip the theme song. I don't know why, maybe its too similar to what my old conceptions were about Pre-G4 MLP before I started watching Friendship is Magic, maybe its still just to girly for me, I don't know... Anyone else this way?
  13. I have a 1.61 K/D, 9th Prestige, and have somehow only played 4 days on the game! I actually love it, because I'm in the top 100k players worldwide, and without even trying, which is a nice change from being bad at other CoD games. Shoot me a message on Xbox if you want to play with me, gamertag is Windy Runner. Although I only play on weekends, and usually with a brony clan, but I'd love to play with some of you guys!
  14. Hey! I liked Shadow the Hedgehog! I don't really know why I did, but I did! (Looking back now, the game has not aged well, but that's neither here nor there) I don't know, for me I feel like unless Twilight loses her Alicorn status after the season 4 premiere the dynamic of the show will be thrown off. I mean, Twilight is going to outlive all of her friends now, and that will throw a wrench in their magic friendship when 1000 years from now she's got nobody but Celestia and Luna and maybe Spike, depending on his life span. I don't view it as the death toll for the show, but I view it as a strain. This show wasn't named the "Twilight Sparkle Show" for a reason. Whatever, what do I know? I'm just a random Brony. Obriously the writers know what they're doing with this, they wouldn't drive their pride and joy into the ground on purpose and break the hearts of thousands of little girls and bronies worldwide.
  15. Evilshy, I get what you're saying, but the idea of innocent humanized ponies isn't a good one either. In my OP, I said one thing I fundamentally like about the show is that the characters are ponies, not human girls. I don't know, I guess humanized art makes it harder to see them as just ponies, since it turns them human in our minds for us, even if we don't want to. And Scoots, you hit the nail on the head my friend!
  16. I get what you're saying. I guess I wasn't very clear in my OP about why the idea of humanized ponies bothers me so much. It almost 'taints' the show. I can't watch the show without seeing the humanized ponies in place of the actual ponies. And the worst part is, some of those humanized ponies are very well drawn, and are really good looking, so yeah, on a base level, I do like them. And that's what I view as wrong, because those pictures are of the completely innocuous and innocent characters from a show that never had any intentions of being sexual. I suppose that's my whole issue with all R34, including humanization, is the tarnishing of the stainless, perfect innocence of the show. The idea of being attracted to anything derived from the show is a very negative one to me. Do you get what I mean?
  17. Hey guys, I would like some opinions on this, since I feel like I'm in the minority about my stance on humanized ponies. In a blurb, I don't like them. At all. Honestly, there's something that I think is fundamentally wrong with humanizing the ponies. They belong in Equestria as, well, ponies. I kind of view the characters as, for lack of a better word, sacred, but not in a religious sense. More in the sense that I think that turning them into humans ruins the innocence and simplicity of it. I like the show for many reasons, but one of those reasons is not how Twilight or Applejack would look as human girls. It ruins the mystique for me, to the point where if I see fanart of ponies humanized, I avert my eyes and keep scrolling. The other reason I don't like the idea of humanized ponies is because I feel its just that much closer to clopping images/r34. I mean, some of these humanized pony pics are pretty much hentai. Is this just me being intolerant and ignorant, or is this a prevalent opinion in the Brony community? All opinions welcome. Thanks!
  18. Cool! Do you have an account on Chess.com? I have one on there, username is NobleChessKnight. I'd love to play you sometime DXSilverX
  19. So, we got any Chess playing Bronies on here? I am a bit of a chess nut (I used to play competitively in grade school and was once ranked 20th for U-18 in Washington State. Haha but that was a LONG time ago) I always love meeting people who share my passion for the medieval game of strategy.
  20. I am personally not a fan of any cartoons on the air right now besides MLP, but when I was growing up, I simply couldn't get enough of shows like Hey Arnold and Recess. So what were all you guy's favorite childhood shows?
  21. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the majority of bronies are American. I'm from the Seattle area, and it seems the country with the most bronies is America, followed by England.
  22. *Glances around suspiciously* To be honest, I didn't really like the 4th season of Kim Possible. I didn't like the idea of Ron and Kim as a couple on the show, if they were going to get together, it had to be the series finale, not just a season finale.
  23. Not a soul knows of my like of the show, at least irl. I belong to a Brony Clan on Call of Duty, but I don't know any of those guys in real life. I don't think I'll ever tell my friends about it, since my friends are all well traveled on the internet, know of bronies, and hold nothing but contempt for them. (as I did for a long time) Since most of my friends would turn on me if I told them of my liking of it, I'll play this hobby close to the chest.
  24. Hey guys! I'm relatively new to the fandom, and I'm completely blown away by the amount of talent and skill our fandom has! The songs, the art, (minus R34) the animations, everything is just so incredible! And yet, I have zero talents to contribute to the fandom. The only positive thing I can bring to it is decimating people on Call of Duty rocking a pony emblem in a pony exclusive clan. Does this lack of talent to bring to the table make me any 'less' of a brony, because I've felt that way. Is it just me being irrational, or does it have some logic to it?

    Hi...?

Um, Hi guys. I'm new here, so I don't exactly know what I'm doing. I never was much of a fan of these forums, because I was very put off by the very idea of running into the 'dark side' of the fandom, but this place doesn't seem to be a place for R34 and clopper stuff, so I'll give it a go! So, yeah, hi, I guess!
