  1. Pony swag I crossdressed once or twice prior to coming out as a transgendered person, and man were things awkward. I kind of passed both times, but not really, so I got a lot of weird stares. Also the stuff I had to use to accentuate my figure appropriately was all uncomfortable and dug into the skin hard.
  2. Gearbox does have a point, even if the morals are outstandingly basic there are either nuances we missed or we sometimes need reminders, and sometimes the dumbest and most repetitive things are functionally what works for educating us. I used to be totally in the camp of 'lel childrens cartoon I just like the characters and fandom yo' but when I watched Equestria Games I realized even this kids cartoon could still affect me...
  3. I really think the writers struggle from maintaining a sense of Spike's generally best characterization (childish but precociously intelligent and a lazy troll) when they write him into an episode of his own because they feel the need to purposely dumb him down to make the given lesson of the episode work, which is lazy writing. But duh, it's not like they're trying too hard, it's a damn kids show. A good one, but a kids show at the end of the day. What I'd hope to see is either some better writing or pulling back on the Spike episodes and focusing on developing him solely as a supporting cast character. We already have the CMC for decently written 'younger crowd issues' episodes... But that does remove the main point of reference for young boys, who are becoming a strong minority part of the audience. Ugh. I really just want my boy Spike to get some good eps.
  4. Lullaby for a Princess animation is pretty massive and was only recently released. More like a music video but a ridiculously well done if melodramatic one.
  5. I personally believe that Twilight, if she were so inclined, could potentially develop an attraction to any of the girls. I think it's in her nature to be experimental, even with romance, and she'd probably shuffle back and forth on it, think about the girls a lot, make checklists and all that typical Twilight stuff. Especially with the dynamic she has as a pseudo leader... That said, I think TwiPie is my personal favorite for all the reasons stated above, and it also neatly rounds out my trifecta of ships, AppleDash, RariShy, and then TwiPie. THE HOLY TRINITY MUST REMAIN INTACT
  6. It's given me a lot in life, as silly as that inherently is. Not so much in terms of what it taught me or whatever but the people it allowed me to meet. I love the show unironically, even if I'm a bit of a flaky fan, and I think I'll always remember it.
  7. Literally maybe one serious response to OP, this thread truly brought out the best in man.
  8. Why polarize things along such arbitrary lines? Where do the transgendered and gender queer fit in on the spectrum, for example? The world isn't black and white gender vs. gender, both genders have problems and benefit from forms of social inequality. Feminism, at least in moderation, is legit.
  9. Friendship is hard guys, sometimes we do stupid stuff and don't see eye to eye because we become temporarily selfish or unable to see the consequences of our actions on others. All the girls have had their moments of folly with their interpersonal relationships, with the possibly exception of the ever-level headed AJ because I can't recall an example in her case.
  10. yeah obviously the tenants of ethical and scientifically sound transhumanism are accurately represented by edgelords writing fanfic for a children's cartoon
  11. I'm pretty trans so yeah, part of the community! I was a supporter from a young age anyways, even before I became a personal member.
  12. This answer changes fairly frequently but Pinkie maybe. She'd probably be the most accepting of some pony randomly showing up in her bed overnight, and being her lover would make integrating into society super easy (party time boys). And she's fun and silly and cute and I think I could love her for a long time to come.
  13. One must always remember... The advice I probably follow most in life can be summed up by a quote I got from Civ IV (but I didn't first realize it from the game, I'm not that dysfunctional). Read in the voice of Leonard Nimoy (RIP): "You can't direct the wind, but you can adjust your sails." -Unknown Always be adaptable, is how I interpret it.
  14. Like OP I do it to josh around with friends. I'm a bit crass so sometimes I come off as a bit harsh when I don't mean to be. In League I trash talk all the time. I never really insult people seriously.
  15. Grass is always greener. But yeah, I prefer winter and always have. I prefer cold weather and others being forced to have fun indoors with me as opposed to doing whatever outside, I'm not very outdoorsy, and when I am I prefer being in a jacket to not having much on due to heat. It's also, in terms of school, the perfect amount of break time without getting boring.
  16. It's a show for girls in that the PoV of the characters is feminine, but I think that only has some effect on how things play out, mostly in some dynamics. It's not an especially stereotypical show, and I think that's partially because I believe the metric of gender stereotyping is changing with the younger generations. Guys and girls are less clearly separated along arbitrary values now.
  17. Just a bit of both perhaps. Most of my OCs are normal enough to where they smoothly fit into Equestrian society but also have little tics and elements that would make their lives interesting and fun. They're also all women, which of course makes them more appealing to be for me. That said they'd also all make interesting friends. I'd be one and keep the rest in my circle of friends perhaps.
  18. I'm naturally quite lenient, on top of usually only really being able to book offense from those who are closest to me. The people who hurt me most, more often than not, are those I still love and want in my life, my family and friends. I suppose I'm perhaps a bit too detached and my outlook is one that is more likely to hurt me than help, but I just... let things go. In the end, nothing taken from me is truly a big deal, as long as I still have my life and personal ability to be happy.
  19. Most fanworks would still be questionable quality, that doesn't change even if they're technically legal.
  20. cant change username yet S A D B O Y S

  21. But Cadence's name would be accurate based on her character Gotta love Shining's butt after all :0
  22. I wear AKGs outside, in the rain, in temperature extremes, and often step on the cable or am otherwise careless with it and they can still past me upwards of two years apiece. Pro quality, and you can get decent ones for under 100.
  23. I agree with you but lol legendary double post. In a car though pretty high volumes usually don't matter too much because car speakers (or at least the ones I had) don't distort at the high end easily, which is where the annoying frequencies are. So I'd pump it enough for a bit of low end distortion and drive with the car thumping. Fave songs to do that to included deadmau5 and Porter Robinson.
