  1. I bought a Beanie Baby version of Princess Twilight Sparkle (I already own the Beanie Babies of the Mane 6 with old Twilight).
  2. I think it would be AWESOME. I know it never would happen and that they'd be stupid if they ever did make her an alicorn, but my point is that I think Derpy as an alicorn would be so cool and hilarious. I'd love that, I mean, not really if it was in the actual show, but maybe just in a fan fic or something.
  3. I loved this movie, I think more than I thought I would. It wasn't perfect, but good enough that I'd definitely watch it again at some point. I really loved all of the references to the TV show that is in it.
  4. Hi!! Welcome to the forums, I hope you have fun here
  5. Listening to Evening Star right now; he makes some amazing music.

  6. Going to bed, good night ponies.

  7. I'd take the deal just for the chance of going on a date with Fluttershy, although I don't have much faith in my capabilities to take care of a whole bunch of animals for a whole week. I'd try my best, though.
  8. I've twice dreamed I was Rainbow Dash except that in the second one I didn't look like Rainbow Dash, nor did I have wings, in fact I was in the form of a human and so was everybody else, I just somehow knew I was Rainbow Dash—so I'm not sure if that one counts. But the first one, it was so cool cause I could fly. In that one though, I'm not totally sure if I actually was Rainbow Dash or just another pegasus, it wasn't totally clear. I find that I tend not to dream of something if I try intentionally to think about it lots when I go to bed to try making myself dream about it. For me, I find that I will very often dream of something, or at least have a dream based off of something, that I thought or experienced momentarily during the previous day, rather than something that I thought lots about. Although, I think the pegasus dream did happen after a day where I watched a few episodes of MLP, but still, I didn't think lots about it right before going to bed.
  9. Ooh, this is a good topic idea, hmmm, I can imagine Rainbow Dash singing "American Idiot," by Green Day, actually most of the songs on that album I can see Rainbow Dash singing. I don't know why, but I can also see Applejack singing this:
  10. I'd like to post more in this group but I can't think of what to say so I'm just going to write an acrostic poem: Rarity Awesome Rare Interesting Tremendous YAAAAAAAA Okay, that was horrible, I know. Let's see some other members of Ambassadors of Fabulosity try and make a better one, though, but those R's and that Y are toughies... Edit: Okay, here's a better one: Regal Awe-inspiring Ready (for anything) Interesting Tremendous YESRARITYISINDEEDAMAZING
  11. Such a great song about Sweetie Belle and her sister
  12. I don't find that picture as disturbing as the first one. I don't find either very scary, but then personally I don't get scared by any pictures, only creeped out or disturbed if they're, well, creepy or disturbing. This one was actually pretty cool. But this all reminds me, has anyone seen this picture:
  13. I'm listening to the band Depeche Mode, which I just started listening to recently and which is such an awesome band.
  14. Lol, before I saw the troll face I thought you were actually trying to get yourself banned or something. Cause I know you love ponies, SC00TS buddy ol' pal.
  15. The brony fandom and community amazes me, in a very good way. Only four years ago, no one would have thought a fan base this large and dedicated and community-oriented could ever arise from a My Little Pony TV show, especially not a community started and made up largely by older males. It is so amazing, and I am so glad I got into it, I hope this fandom only continues to increase and keep being awesome for a very long time.
  16. I got an acoustic guitar recently. It's really fun and exciting learning a new instrument :) .

  17. I've heard someone else mention that The Handmaid's Tale was the worst book they've ever read also; he had to read it for school, and he hated it, thought it was the worst book ever. Personally, though, when I read it, for school, I didn't think it was a bad book at all. The sexual content in it is not pornographic or for any kind of erotic purpose, but it serves to forward the plot. I don't really remember the ending very well, but for me a book isn't ruined if it doesn't have a good ending. It's nice if it has a good ending, but I don't really think of the ending as being the most important part of the book or any more important than the rest of it, so if the ending's bad but the rest of it's good, then I don't think of it as being bad. It's been a while since I've read it, but I don't think the book uses swearing gratuitously; that is, it doesn't swear unless it's for a reason, unlike some authors who just throw in swear words left and right with no reason. And as for the belittling of women, this book is a critique against the belittling of women; Margaret Atwood is a huge feminist author. Although, I can understand someone finding the plot and writing style kind of hard to follow due to the novel's non-chronological writing and the use of stream of consciousness technique. I found the stream of consciousness technique intriguing, though. This book definitely isn't the best book I've read, and I wouldn't go around telling people to read it, but I just wanted to share my opinion on why I think it's not that bad of a book.
  18. Haley Williams from the band Paramore.
  19. My favourite author is Stephen King. I've read quite a few of his books and have many more on my bookshelf that I've bought but have yet to read. I don't actually read any other adult contemporary fiction other than Stephen King. Despite that, I think I can say with certainty that I would never like any adult contemporary fiction writer more than Stephen King; his books are just SO well written with such extremely realistic characters and emotional depth, and they really suck you into the plot and can also be thought-provoking at times. I also read young adult fiction (though I haven't in a while; the last one was The Hunger Games, which I read about two and a half years ago) and classic novels, such as Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea (which is one of my favourites), Catch-22 (which I'm rereading currently), and my all time favourite novel, Ulysses, by James Joyce. That is one hek of a challenging read, but it's also the rare kind of novel that you can read over and over again and get more out of it each time. Also, I love the Harry Potter series, it's definitely my favourite book series. Harry Potter is also the kind of thing you can reread and still enjoy it even if you've read it multiple times before. When I was younger, I would read pretty much anything; when I was really young I would sometimes just take a random book from the school library having no idea what it'd be about and read it. I wish I did that more often now, but since I don't have as much time to read anymore, I've become very picky about what I read, which is why I usually read classic novels and novels I know will be good, rather than take a chance on a book and risk wasting my time in case it isn't good. Currently on my list of books to read: "Looking for Alaska" and "The Fault in Our Stars," both by John Green; "The Return of the King," so I can finally say I've read The Lord of the Rings (I started reading it a while ago and have never finished); and maybe some other fantasy books that have been recommended to me by people.
  20. This morning on the drive to work I was excited to hear on a local radio station an interview with Ashleigh Ball and Brent Hodge about the documentary "A Brony Tale," which was shown at a Vancouver film festival yesterday (sadly, I did not see it). The interview also made me realize that Ashleigh Ball is from Vancouver, which makes me happy since I live in a city very close to Vancouver.

    1. Panne

      Panne

I'm from Wisconsin so I declare that I live in South Canada...

  22. I told my brother and mom when I came home from university this year, because since they're the people I live with, I kind of have to tell them if I want to buy pony stuff, especially since my brother and I share a room, so it's not like I can really hide my pony stuff from him very well. If someone asked me outright, or brought it up and was talking about it, I'd be fine mentioning that I watch it, but depending on who the person is, I might make it seem as if I'm not as obsessed with the show as I actually am. Like if one of the guys I work with ever mentions it, I'll probably say that I watch it, but I won't start ranting about how good it is. If it's a close friend I'm talking with, then I might be a bit more open about how much I like it. I don't currently own any pony related clothing, but I think the furthest I'd go with that would be t-shirts, which I might get a few of at some point. I'd really like that, actually. I think wearing pony-related clothing like a t-shirt is a good way of getting people who have heard about bronies but don't really know much about it other than some stereotypes to actually check the show out after seeing you wear it.
  23. I recently bought the 3 remaining Beanie Baby ponies that I needed in order to have all the Mane 6 Beany Babies . I bought these three at a different store than the store where I bought the other three. That store, which I now don't live near, didn't have the other 3 in stock at the time. The ones there, though, were only about 8 dollars each, but at this store they were about 15 dollars each, which was kind of dumb, but I don't really have a choice if I want all the Mane 6 since there aren't any other stores nearby that sell them; and I can't just leave it at only 3 of them! So, all in all, I'm very happy about this. Oh, and I also bought a Rainbow Dash mug!!
