  1. I pulled myself out of financial ruin by finally landing me a job.
  2. Critic Pony is best pony. I love that this didn't go the route of Quibble being wrong because he's unhappy with the product, and his obsession with detail helped them bleeding live. This episode was my return to the show after putting it on hold for six months and it was a good one for the occasion.
  3. I'd say Fluttershy but the least likely candidate is the most obvious candidate. That would be boring, wouldn't it? Pulling this out of thin air here but - a teleportation spell 20 years into the future and the mane six find all of Equestria's towns and structures gone saved for the select remains in the Crystal Empire. Discord turned back into stone with a permanent look of pain and sorrow on his face. Celestia, Luna, and Cadence buried six feet under. The likes of Tirek and the Changelings shackled at the hooves, having so long since been forced to swear fealty to overlords that they've lost all willpower. The overlords? On dual thrones in the Empire Throne room are Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake. Turns out their special talents were bringing forth the armageddon.
  4. I started the show in April 2011 when I was 24. Now I'm 28 going on 29. I'm pretty comfortable admitting to being a fan online. It's meatspace where I keep this thing a secret since I live in a very conservative part of the US that rigidly demands social norms.
  5. No need to wail Justice will prevail Superman is here To fart in evil's ear
  6. I've played Legend of Zelda original, Zelda II, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, and Wind Waker. I can't stand them any of 'em and it's the same reason for each game: very long, very tedious dungeons. It's the same three puzzles done again and again for about 150 rooms. The only difference is Link's Awakening - where the puzzles are varied and dungeons puzzles distinct but having to pause and switch toggle between items assigned to only two buttons every freaking screen is about as fun as getting a root canal and cavity search simultaneously.
  7. I love Sombra because he's just pure evil incarnate. He's like a slasher villain in a children's cartoon.
  8. I stopped watching after the fourth season was dull episode after dull episode before the series hit the dullseye with Finn the Human.
  9. Best Night Ever. Besides being epic and funny, an episode about six ponies going to a ball to accomplish such goals as spend time with the princess and fall in love with the prince will sound very girly to those who think FIM is just girly froo-frooey fluff but the way its executed will help overcome the stigma - and I think most outsiders do need something that smashes down that stigma before they can get into the show.
  10. You think super hero movies have overstayed their welcome, you should check out zombies. Not zombie movies, just zombies in general. Movies, video games, books, a certain tv show based off a comic that's really popular for reasons I will never understand, and nothing new or interesting has been done with them since before superheroes really broke out. Spy movies, too; James Bond especially. Spies and zombies need to go away for several decades. Also, go back into any decade in film. You'll notice trends in action movies that were around for years and years. Vigilantes in the 70s, patriotism in the 80s, slackers in the 90s, computer hacking in the 2000s. Overabundance of superheroes is nothing special.
  11. Wheatley from Portal 2. A poor little robot sap who wants nothing more than to help you. He goes cuckoo for cocoa puffs thanks to a virus, tries to kill you, get blasted into space, reverts back to his old self, and all he can do for all eternity while spinning mile around Jupiter is contemplate how much he wants to apologize to you.
  12. I wanted to visit the dig but it's at the other side of the state. Thankfully a friend of mine who owns a gaming store was there. If I know him, he probably paid top dollar to get a copy of those games.
  13. Nope. Powerpuff Girls is still the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. FiM comes close but it's not even in my top ten.
  14. Would you elaborate on just what in tarnation you're complaining about? You're the only person I've seen in this thread mention haters.
  15. Strange thing about the just trying to sell toys theory, there's a series of MLP toys that have been around since before season 3 called glimmer wings. It had winged versions of all the mane six plus other characters. So they don't need a reason in-show to make a toy. As for if this was needed? No, at least not now. I say like any student, Celestia's prodigy was learning job skills and if you're Celestia prodigy your job openings are few and prestigious, but that could have been held off for a few more seasons. But did this need to happen? I guess not. But did it need to not happen? No.
  16. I think it's fear that there's changes ahead that could be either good or bad. Thing is, I don't see Twilight becoming an alicorn as a change but as an addition. Like a few members said, fanfics are good to explore things like death of a major character or sexuality or anything that's sort of a 180 of what you'd expect from the show. Well, what about Twiacorn is a 180 in terms of the show? What has been changed? Okay, Twilight's no longer a unicorn, there's that. But she's still going to live in Ponyville or at least make many visits to Ponyville, she's still going to hang out with her friends, she and the others will still be Celestia's personal attack squad for when a big bad strikes Equestria, and she'll still be there for when her friends have to solve some kind of dilema in only 22 minutes. I'm sure there will be episoes where Twilight is whisked away on royal business and I guarantee you season 4 will be same as usual once it's over. And if I'm wrong, well it couldn't have been forseen just by giving Twilight wings. Only thing that I see being different is that there will be moments where Twilight is whisked away from the others on business, which I kinda like. Forcing the mane six to sporadically seperate if only for a short while would force characters to greater cherish their time together. That fits with the show, right?
  17. Character-wise, no one on the show pisses me off. Everyone's personality is pretty understandable and acceptable considering who they all are and what they must contribute to an episode (even Blueblood). Twist kinda sorta annoys me just for the gratting voice thou.
  18. The first episode was decent, mostly setup with the major story points being at the very beginning and end of the episode. It's greatest strength is its voice actors, who all nail their characters right on the bullseye, with Greg Cipes' Michelangelo and Rob Paulsen's Donatello standing out. It's weakness: animation. The background are something to be seen to be believed but the human characters look rubbery and the turtles themselves look not like the 08 movie but the video game for the 08 movie. The anime influences got old quickly.
  19. I'd like to see her as a reoccuring antagonist with a vendetta against Dash and Pinkie or maybe come back trying to make amends in her own conceited way. She's got issues and it's obvious she's trying to work them out. I see a lot of stories about morals going more indepth with how to react and interact with bullies. Honestly I think Gilda would make a better supporting character than, say, Trixie. Never bought into the whole 'Trixie hates Twilight' thing anyway.
  20. I thought this was Pinkie Pie at her Pinkie Piest. Scratching her head like a dog, "Who barked at the moon?" and her exaggerated accusations. This episode rocks just for that alone.
  21. Oh it's not that I'm afraid that people will identify me as some zealous asshole because screw what some dubm prick thinks on account on one t-shirt but I don't what to identify myself with zealous asshole. I agree that it's stupid but the brain wants what it wants. As for forums, I can't find the small ones.
  22. Well the average brony type has been pissing me off as of late. I come from another major pony forum and just about everyone was overreactive, assumptious, incredibly juvenile, quick to cry, quick to point fingers, hypocritical, prejudice, entitled, possessed questionalbe ethics and in some cases anti-intellectual, all while telling others that they were decent people who cared about everyone. I know this is common in fandoms but bullcrap is bullcrap and being normal doesn't excuse it. As result of this forum it's been difficult for me to jump into the fandom as of late and I'm embarrased to wear my pony shirt in public. So I guess I'm an anti brony too.
