  1. That's exactly the same response we got literally a month ago. Although yes, they've been busy with other things.
  2. Of course it would include fanfics. Octavia's Hall is the entire art section, which consists of more than just graphical art. Also, don't expect this project to be completed any time soon ... it's been over two months since the thread was posted, and about a month since we've heard anything.
  3. I would like to take this moment to impart a wee bit of knowledge on this subject. "Dubstep" is a genre of music, so it's typically inaccurate to say "dubstep in a song". It would be proper to say "a dubstep song". Although it is possible for a song to consist of multiple genres, it's given a main genre.
  4. Rengar is really fun to play! Very interesting resource system. His abilities work well together, some great synergy. Next step is for me to experiment with builds and see which one is the most effective. The matches I've played so far have all been tank builds.
  5. It doesn't really matter how many fans would be pissed off. The important part of this situation is that Microsoft is in violation of intellectual property patents, which is an extremely serious matter. Courts really have no choice but to ban the Xbox 360, if they wanted to be fair to patent holders, which they should. Microsoft is an old company, they know better than the screw around and think they can do whatever they want, and if this case is ruled in their favor, it's just showing people that if you have enough money, rules don't apply to you. I agree with Shaw in this case ... need to protect patent holders and their intellectual property, why else would it be patented but to protect it? If Microsoft was paying attention, they could have used different codecs ... ones that did not violate a patent. Also, you guys are completely getting this matter confused. It is the ban of SALES of the Xbox 360. This only happens at the retail level. Regular people like you and I can still sell ours. People can still use theirs fine. It's just that new ones cannot be sold by companies or industries.
  6. Interesting. While it gives users a more 1 on 1 support approach and then some nice opportunity for feedback on the process afterwards, it makes it a very private system. That means you'll be getting a LOT of common 'problems' reported that are simply user error. In the old forum board system, standard users like myself would be able to quickly answer these types of questions (which I used to do quite frequently). Unfortunately, now the user must wait for someone to be online that has access to these support tickets.
  7. You mistake "post everywhere, regardless if it's relevant" with "post carefully, so it's always relevant." Some people rather contribute only decent posts to topics where they believe they have something reasonable to add, instead of posting all over the place and often having spammy posts.
  8. There are quite a few extremely active people that simply lurk more than post. While they know an extensive amount about the forums, they choose to post when they have something to stay instead of posting everywhere.
  9. Not a bad idea, the main problem being the medium used for such a survey so that it includes the target audience (users) yet retains anonymity. May also be important for the survey to catch the person's join date. Only thing that I disagree with: Post count has nothing to do with a person's ability to properly fill the role.
  10. By this totally bypasses the age-old question of Coke vs Pepsi! If we're going with strictly these two flavors, I would go with Pepsi ... just like the taste better. HOWEVER, if we're gonna go with the brand in it's entirety, then Coke, since they have Sprite, and Sprite is awesome. Although Dr. Pepper is quite amazing, too.
  11. If it was observation only, I could see myself putting in around 3 hours a day taking notes and studying their behavior. I would find it interesting how a sentient quadrupedal species behaves. You mean developing plots, right?
  12. Aye, loads of people seem to like having a 'flavor of the week' deal with their name ... or chance it (*cough* Steam) upon every whimsical thought they have. Whatever makes them happy, I guess. While I don't care at all if people are allowed to change their name, it does promote a certain level of confusion when people change it so often. Part of a forum community is getting to know each other, and changing a name too often works against that.
  13. I like my way of doing things ... Pick one name I like and stick with it.
  14. And that's how the internet works. Silliness aside, I agree. Name changes should be limited to once per two months (if not a longer span).
  15. Wow, how is this thread still going? There is now an age restriction to these forums. Topic over. Very confused how posts can continue to form here ...
  16. It doesn't matter what the subject is, the medium, or even the audience ... if there is money to be made, people will exploit it. After all, we are just Humans. If we weren't, then we wouldn't have such a fantastic Equestria to dream about.
  17. My Little Pony, like all things in life, effect people differently. Best to think as everything with the "Your results may vary" disclaimer that every medicinal drug has. For me personally, nothing about MLP or it's community has changed me any any way (that I know of). I'm still the hated forum lurker that speaks honestly (which people hate).
  18. You're looking for the store's item number. Unfortunately, when stores have the system look up by that number, it makes it extremely hard to find, since only that retail store will use that number (instead of using the UPC, which is the same world wide). For example, this item's UPC is 653569779704. That number can be used in any store (or online) to find that same exact item. However, the Item Number of this item is 793899, which is a number only Toys 'R Us uses. That said, I couldn't find ANY of the three item's you mentioned on their website. But not to fear! If you have access to online ordering, you can get them from places like Amazon.
  19. *forever ignored* Just kidding. A great post; contains many responses to a variety of concerns. Also, the table flipping Twilight posted later is sheer hilarity.
  20. At least it was completed with a decent end. No abrupt cut off or excessive story arch left unfinished. A reasonably satisfying close to an amazing show. Only problem with the show is that it did end.
  21. Kurama ... through the entire show! Just love all there is about the character. His personality, sharp looks, awesome attacks, quick wit.
  22. I've watched this series in it's entirety ... three times. Quite the awesome show. To anyone that likes anime, but hasn't seen it yet: GO WATCH IT NOW!
  23. There are two reasons to have decay continue. Firstly, it is far easier to code for a decay period that stays steady regardless of the status of the user. Secondly, allowing it to decay by 5 points while the person is gone puts them at 45 points ... so all they need to do is get another warning to hit that 50 point mark again, giving them another suspension. It's only when a user has committed a few really bad offenses that they'll stay above 50 points after a suspension as they work towards that 100 point ban.
  24. Well, let's do a bit of math to help decide. My previous decay rate would have surmounted to 7 per week. Time it takes for an Infraction type to reach zero: Warning - 5 days Minor - 15 days Moderate - 25 days Serious - 50 days (one week suspension, so they will be at 43 points on returning) New rate of 3 per week: Warning - 1.7 weeks Minor - 5 weeks Moderate - ~2 months Serious - ~4 months (one week suspension, so they will be at 47 points on returning) Happy middle of 5 per week: Warning - 1 week Minor - 3 weeks Moderate - 5 weeks Serious - 2.5 months (one week suspension, so they will be at 45 points on returning) Math has made me really like the decay of 5 points per week thing ... allows the Infractions to remain long enough to remind the user to be careful, but not too long.
