    I think Season 5 has the deepest subject matter out of all the season. They defiantly aren't pandering to the target audience.

    I'd have to agree with you on this one. Songs used to be special and big musical numbers, and now there is one almost every episode in the new season.

    I'd have to agree with you. The first three generations were merely to sell toys. This gen is special, and has a much wider audience than the other generations and toys aren't the main attraction. Of course Hasbro probably only cares about sales, but they will still produce the show even if profits don't do as good as they want.
