  1. I think this was the best episode of Season 7 so far. It's funny and clever, everypony was in character, and I loved how it both celebrated Rainbow and kept her "human", and how everypony had some character development along the way.
  2. This makes WAY more sense than Chrysalis getting involved, since it's a one-part episode. Sounds like awkward fun.
  3. I can't see any characters dying per se, but it could end with some characters (Celestia and/or the Mane 6, perhaps) ascending to a higher plane of existence to be eternal guardians of Equestria, or something along those lines. A bittersweet ending with emphasis on the sweet is certainly a possibility.
  4. My personal ranking of the two-part episodes, from best to worst (Not that I think there are actually any bad ones; the ones near the bottom are only OK): A Canterlot Wedding The Return of Harmony The Cutie Re-Mark To Where and Back Again Friendship Is Magic Twilight's Kingdom Princess Twilight Sparkle The Cutie Map The Crystal Empire Celestial Advice/All Bottled Up (honorary mention, these would have been good as late-season episodes) The Crystalling
  5. It's probably going to happen eventually, and I'm not nearly as averse to the idea as most people, but the S7 finale is way too soon. I'd be happier if it happened around S9 or S10, after she does more (hopefully a LOT more) to earn it.
  6. She probably acquires it through a combination of paying attention to people's orders, asking questions, and eavesdropping.
  7. Nah. He's been raised his whole life by ponies. He knows next to nothing about dragon culture. It's much better that Ember is Dragon Lord, since she's spent her entire life around dragons (including the previous Dragon Lord).
  8. That would be a little funny, but Hasbro would lose so much (repeated viewings in-theater, toy sales, fan goodwill) that there's no way that would happen.
  9. This episode was equal parts funny and adorable. I also particularly liked the morals the episode presented.
  10. Nope. Probably my second-least-favorite two-parter (after The Crystalling), but that's a far cry from worst episode. Honestly, Spike at Your Service is so far below any other episodes that the phrase "worst episode" doesn't apply in plural IMO. Also, other than that one, there have been no episodes I consider truly bad--I've liked all the two-parters including this one a lot.
  11. I think you may have hit on something there. It's possible that changelings primarily use(d) love as a source of magical power and that they needed additional sustenance. They've certainly always been capable of eating, though that's not the same thing. It IS also possible that the lunch thing was all Twilight's idea and that changelings no longer need external sustenance (which was my original impression after the S6 finale).
  12. One and a half. The "one" is really into the show (goes to cons and everything). The "half" stopped watching after Twilight became an alicorn. I tried to talk him into watching it again. I don't know if I was successful, though.
  13. Celestial Advice: Excellent all the way through. I particularly liked the parts where Celestia and Twilight were talking. My only complaint is that the "Starlight's so great! Woo woo woo!" stuff was laid on too thickly. All Bottled Up: Great episode, particularly towards the end. I have a hard time seeing Trixie and Starlight as strictly platonic after that conversation ( though (hat could just be because I don't understand female friendship).
  14. I assume Discord would give you super strength for the duration of the event, though that's not stated in the original post. As for the actual question, sure thing. I'm thinking I'll do Trixie--she's the least politically powerful, so my reputation would probably be harmed the least. Maybe I'll offer her a cut--Discord didn't say I couldn't give them some of the money.
  15. There are ABSOLUTELY connections. Maleficent was definitely a source of inspiration. Just like I'm pretty sure Ursula was a source of inspiration for Chrysalis.
  16. Doubtful, but perhaps there'll be an offhand mention of something relevant to the movie.
  17. My guess is a gourdfest involves carving and possibly eating gourds and using them to celebrate someone. Under Chrysalis, it would have been to celebrate a conquest of some kind and a way of transferring love to Chrysalis, but Thorax made it into a more innocent event.
  18. Why is Starlight Glimmer graduating already? That seems rushed.
  19. Temporarily, I'm sure there were. If nowhere else, there were changelings outside the hive impersonating the princesses/Mane 6/Shining Armor and Flurry Heart. But I can't imagine any changelings stayed loyal to Chrysalis for very long when Thorax could offer them a chance to not be ugly or starving anymore.
  20. I'd really like to see how the griffin village is coming along now that there are at least two "good" griffins.
  21. There would have to be a really good reason for them to be alive, and the writers probably know that, so I don't expect them to pop in without a good explanation for why they've been AWOL for the entire run of the show. (Or to be alive at all, for that matter, but if they did, I would be surprised if the reason isn't at least presented as being good.)
  22. If she is, a switch from mania to depression at the end of TCRM would be a good explanation for why she decided to stop being evil in the course of a conversation, as well as her personality changes post-reformation.
  23. I'd probably give them a chance, depending on exactly what happened.
  24. I haven't seen anything to suggest that runes exist in Equestria.
