^ I think this is extremely stupid. These companies (well outside of Nintendo) all cater to an adult demographic above all else. I see nothing wrong with AO games on PS4 or Xbox platforms (hell, if you ask me, Mortal Kombat X SHOULD be rated AO).

I have never once even touched any form of social media. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Snapchat, Instagram, (back in the day) Myspace.... all cancerous atrocities. The only way I can have any modicum of respect for someone using social media, is if they NEED to use it for work.

^Can't agree enough. Although I would say I hate the latter two you listed significantly more than Ben 10 (which I just found very dull and overly juvenile). My WORST cartoon of all time would probably be Back at the Barnyard or whatever it is called. Awful CGI visuals, bad art style, horrendous voice acting, was based off a trashy movie so naturally the tv show is significantly worse, atrocious writing, some of the most retarded plotlines I have ever witnessed, and freakin MALE characters with cow utters -.- The show is just plain repulsive and a true vexation of the spirit. Runner ups would be Fanboy and Chum Chum, Planet Sheen, and (if we are counting Japanese cartoons as well) Milky Holmes. These shows are just physically PAINFUL to watch e.e

I have alot of gripes with modern day anime, but my largest one would have to be when there is a main/ supporting female character who the audience is supposed to like, despite them being extremely bitchy. Especially when the "bitchiness" is more passive aggressive in nature, and usually directed at a main male protagonist. Like The red-headed one in Steins:Gate or the long-haired chick in Bakemonogatari, the latter of which being the best possible example I can think of.

I have never collected ponies in my life, since most of the merch doesn't meet my high quality standards. Pokemon/ You Gay Hoe cards were my shit back when I was in elementary-middle school tho I have like 10 huge tins full of old school Yu-gi-oh cards and 3 binders of Pokémon. Lots of really rare stuff too. Pokémon was never really my style in terms of the game itself; I only collected them to collect. Yu-gi-oh was something I collected to actually use against other players. Back then, me and my friends/ acquaintances made it a rule not to use any of the reprints in our duels. We felt it was as bad as using counterfeit cards; the rare cards should be difficult to acquire was our mental process lol. Made duels far more exciting; seeing what new rare cards they got their hands on since the last time I saw em ^^ I used to buy manga when I got slightly older, but not to the extent that I would call it "collecting" persay. Have only like 15 manga volumes total, so... yeah lol (most of them being obscure shit like Mahoromatic for example). I always wanted to get into anime figure collecting but it is just too damn expensive... -.-. I prefer to spend my cash on electronics with actual functionality rather than something that just sits there and looks pretty but costs 300$ xD

Lets say hypothetically, the system DOES somehow mange to achieve financial success for Nintendo. Lets say it sells like 50 million units in its lifetime or something. How exactly does that affect the actual hardware itself? It doesn't suddenly (magically) transform into an objectively GOOD vidoe game system just because it sells well. Personally, the Wii was my least favorite Nintendo system to date. It felt so incredibly regressive considering how technologically groundbreaking the Gamecube, N64, SNES, and NES had been when they first released. The Wii was taking several steps backward; both in terms of technical prowress, and complex and engaging gameplay mechanics. The thing sold like hot cakes, and Nintendo was constantly bragging about how amazing the sales were at nearly every e3. Don't you remember gamers' collective reactions to this? They were SICK of the bragging about sales. "Where are the damn games!?" That was the question on everyone's minds. Gamers don't want shallow, simplistic experiences, they pay good money for complex, deep and engaging games. The Xbox 360 and Ps3 might not have been able to achieve quite the level of financial success as the Wii, but the quality of what those systems offered in terms of software and hardware blew Nintendo out of the water. Sure, many Xbox 360s had tons of RRoD problems, but that system at least had redeeming qualities to compensate for the bullshit. Hell, the company would accept 360's back and replace/ fix them free of charge, in many instances! What is Nintendo doing with the Switch? They are saying "Dead pixels are completely normal", and "The Switch isn't having hardware malfunctions". Nintendo fans have learned from Nintendo to continue to deny the company's shortcomings, thereby facilitating more problems in the future. Why make an effort to make things better when the fans will eat it up regardless? It PAINS me to say these things, since I too was a LOYAL Nintendo fan at one point. PlayStation and Xbox games always turned me off with their focus on "realism" dark and gritty looking graphics, and over-violent content. Sega was pretty awesome for awhile, but even when the were in their prime, Nintendo just seems to trump what they offered in every way imaginable. Now? I don't really have any place to turn besides PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Nintendo has become somewhat of a non-entity within the gaming market at this point. With the Switch I was hoping Nintendo would finally turn things around after floundering for over a decade, but, alas, they seem fated to continuously make the same mistakes over and over again.
