  1. I've been in many fights. I don't take a lot of crap from people and I have a confrontational attitude as it is. I'm trying to curb that aspect of my personality but if someone pushes me I'll most likely push back.
  2. When I was nine or so. I was awkward and didn't have much control over my surroundings so I found stupid ways to express myself.
  3. I'm not happy when someone is getting in my face or trying to get a reaction out of me. I know that's what a lot of clowns are supposed to do, but I'm an introvert with a temper and I'd just as soon kick him in the pom poms as break a smile on cue.
  4. I learn when my brain is ready to learn. I don't force it because it won't be retained. Just keep the mind open and the info will find its way in, just let nature take its course.
  5. I don't wear shoes unless I have to. In public places where shoes are required I wear them, or if I need to go someplace where the terrain requires it I'll use foot protection. But I prefer barefoot, even in public when I can get away with it.
  6. I prefer a real tree if I happen to live in a place where they're readily available. When I lived in the northwest they were easy to get and I could cut my own, but in the southwest I have to pick from trees at a tree lot, most of which were cut down two weeks before Thanksgiving, and they can be a bit beat up and dry. They're still nice, but I like them fresh from the ground. They make some realy nice fake ones now but they don't have the smell unless you get artificial scent, but that often smells a bit perfume-like to me and not very authentic.
  7. I wear a wool coat for cold weather and sometimes I'll stack a hoodie with a lighter jacket. I don't mind the cold and I don't usually have to bundle up very much to be comfortable in it.
  8. I don't mind driving if I have someplace to go that's too far to walk or ride a bike to. I don't have a car of my own (I steal my cousin's ride if I need to drive somewhere) and prefer to walk anyway if it's a reasonable option.
  9. When I saw the scene with Marble in the background it immediately elevated the episode for me. I'm happy the writers even remembered that she has a chemistry with Big Mac and that it was brushed under the rug, seemingly without a thought. At least someone involved with the show knew enough to insert this fleeting but fitting cameo of Marble. This storyline should be further explored; it would make one hell of an episode.
  10. I guess some people think of MLP as effeminate, but that's misguided thinking. I mean, why is liking a show filled with female characters a reflection on the masculinity of the viewer? If I guy likes a show with a predominantly female cast, that to me sounds like a masculine trait, not the other way around.
  11. I watch almost no TV at all, and have gone for weeks, if not months, without it. I don't like much of what's on and the only time I even glance at it is when someone else has the TV on and I see it in the background. I far prefer watching a dvd.
  12. I sometimes go out on Black Friday but not to shop. I'm not going anywhere near that kind of chaotic hell. Instead I like to watch the bedlam from a distance and take peace in the fact that I'm far removed from it. It's a great day to do other things; very peaceful.
  13. I regret hurting some people when I was younger. I have a bad temper, especially when I see someone hurting a person I care about, and sometimes I do bad things to them in retaliation. A few times I've gone too far, either physically or emotionally, and I regret not taking more control over my emotions. Lack of control is a failure on my part, so I shouldn't make it someone else's problem. I'm working on improving myself now.
  14. Try this: This thing is fantastic and really works. My cousin and I fixed a ton of lights with this last year and expect to do so again this year. It costs about $20 but worth every penny. It's not guaranteed to work 100% of the time, but in my experience it works about 75%, which is pretty good and a lot better than having to replace pre-strung trees and decorations altogether.
  15. Siberia or someplace equally bone-chilling. I like things cold and hard, to match my personality.
  16. I'm thankful for my cousin. She rescued me when my life was falling apart and turned it all around for me. I'm not the sentimental type, but dammit, I'll love her forever.
  17. I don't especially enjoy drinking hot water but I sometimes do it anyway. I often brush my teeth in warm water and drink a couple cups of water afterward without turning down the heat. Just lazy I guess.
  18. I prefer pretzels, especially the big soft kind. I'm not a huge fan of peanuts; I prefer other kinds of nuts like cashews, macadamias or Brazil nuts.
  19. It's a close call, but I'm going to go with pie. I like a nice chocolate silk pie or a New York cheesecake with raspberries and whipped cream.
  20. Hot chocolate sometimes helps me. It coats and soothes, besides tasting good.
  21. I hate any job that requires me to work behind a computer. Nothing ever works and it causes endless frustration instead of helping (which technology is supposedly designed to do). I can work any physical job and deal with it, even if it's hard. I don't mind hard work, I even like it sometimes, but mental stress (which is synonymous with computers) is the real enemy and I do my best to avoid it.
  22. I usually like to be alone, doing things that only interest me (like singing, exploring and learning new things). I enjoy my freedom and privacy, but sometimes choose to share it with someone I care about. Spending quality time when it's quiet and peaceful can be very special.
  23. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Warm comfort food is the way to go.
  24. I have very dark brown eyes. They're almost black, but you can see the color in bright light.
  25. I used to shop online more than I do now. I used to live in a remote area so I had no choice. But now I live in a big city where everything I need is available. I prefer to buy something in a physical store where I can look it over and determine it's exactly what I want before committing to the purchase. Online I have to wait for days to receive my stuff and find out if it was accurately described or if I have to go through the trouble of returning it.
