  1. I'm with the general opinion here, Snips and Snails are my least favorite characters in the show. They only make me (at times literally) facepalm at their stupidity and make males look bad (kind of weird how the girls are heroes, but the males rarely have any heroic role).
  2. Hmm...one wish... Well, obviously having a portal between our world and Equestria is high up there. Another would be to be able to meet one of them here (MLD style, or really just meeting them and being able to give them a tour of my house and our home town).
  3. Three things I find funny? 1. Memes: I know it's already been said, but coming from someone who's known for making meme references, it's a given. 2. Funny YouTube videos: You know, those videos where time is spent to genuinely make them funny and enjoyable for the audience. 3. Occasional Reddit posts: I don't frequent Reddit like I used to, but I've seen some humor put on there, especially today (I saw a photo of a facebook post that literally made me laugh out loud. I don't do that often.).
  4. Looks really good, especially for a Kindle. It almost looks like it was taken directly from the show, or at least to me it does.
  5. I'd love for Equestria to be real, and to be able to visit (come on, who wouldn't). If that couldn't happen, finding a filly of one of the Mane 6 would be the next best thing (MLD anyone?).
  6. Here's the story: I'm at lunch with a few friends of mine, and while having a discussion and joking around, one of them responded (what sounded like) "Shut up Bernie". I was confused and couldn't figure out what he meant, and when I asked, he said "I'm making fun of you for liking My Little Pony." At this I kind of laughed and said, "Oh, for the record, we're called 'Bronies'". He said that was what he said and that he was just congested. Okay, laughs over. Then things got...less than positive. I'm explaining that more males watch the show than females, and one of them says that that is the saddest thing ever, and that she'd see some friends of hers watching it and asked "why they were wasting their lives watching My Little Pony". The other friend then added that it was a waste to watch something with a rating for little girls. How either of them found out about it is beyond me, but things haven't gone well since. I encouraged them to watch the show, saying it was different now, but it was no avail. Well, that's my story for the day. Thoughts?
  7. Well, there is a girl I like, who I told about the show. At first, she really seemed weirded out by it, but after watching it fell in love with it. She isn't allowed to watch it anymore, or even go on these forums, but that's another story... I found that we shared many common interests besides MLP, and even some character traits. I took her on a date and we had the time of our lives. We're great friends together, and I'm looking forward to our next date.
  8. Considering I've had to wake up very early before, I'm not too bad about being woken up. That said, if I've had a long day/night, I like to sleep in a bit. You wake me up, we gon' have problems.
  9. Yeah, when I first saw the shape she was in, and the look of her features, I thought she looked a lot like an insect too. Not really sure what to classify her as if she were an insect, though...
  10. "But if they do that, the show might get a bit...dark. And-" *thinks about what was just said* *remembers common response to the show being "it's a girly stupid show"* "Dear writers of MLP, I have a suggestion for upcoming episodes..."
  11. Considering no one where I come from likes MLP (and I don't see that changing anytime soon), I haven't bought any merchandise either for myself or for someone else. Especially considering the apparently negative association with the toys, as one person who mocked me for it asked me if I "played with the dolls too". Have you ever just wanted to slap someone across the face?
  12. Let me guess, your name is "Johnny" and the plank's name was "Plank", right? In all seriousness, that's too perfect to miss up. As for me...do doves and pigeons count as unusual pets? I had some when I was really young, but they ran, I mean, flew away.
  13. Closet bronies exist because many people hate us and some don't want to experience that. As for if I know any closet bronies, long story short, I used to be one, but I gained some confidence and admitted it to my friends and family. Nearly no one accepts it. End of story.
  14. ...Even if it takes a few years. Your situation sounds like almost an exact copy of mine (save for a few minor details). I'm sorry you're dealing with that, really I am. But hey, at least you get to go to BroNYcon...
  15. It sounds like he thinks the show is good, but the fandom is great. Overall, it sounds like he is a definite Brony. Not minding being called one doesn't hurt either.
  16. I like it. It's definitely good for a more subtle pony reference as well, just in case you want to give a nod to the show without being too overly pony.
  17. I think my biggest personality flaw is that, like Fluttershy, I'm a bit too (take a wild guess) shy. Yeah, I don't really talk much, and don't like being social too often either. Don't get me wrong, it's important, but I don't really enjoy it.
  18. I agree. Real men can aren't afraid to show emotion (You know, but not to excess). I mean, when someone dies, it the man supposed to just stand there with a stone-cold emotionless face and turn away to live the rest of his life out? No. I know that's a more extreme example, but sad things can happen, and to not show emotion is almost non-human.
  19. Rainbow Dash. She's the most loved character from the show (next to Fluttershy), and, in my opinion, she defies the opinion of MLP only being for girls best, showing an action-loving, thrill seeking character. Also, I saw her on a poster at Hot Topic when they were advertising MLP merchandise there. Need I say more?
  20. Well frankly I think almost every brony has imagined themself going to Equestria (ponified or not). For me, I have imagined myself going to Equestria in human form. And that's going to be an FiMfic I'm writing. So more on that then.
  21. Huh, never noticed that. It's definitely interesting to have this pointed out, and I guess it's neat to know how the color schemes were picked.
  22. I'm not sure if I like Pinkie Pie or Rarity less. For Pinkie Pie, her fourth wall breaking is hilarious. For Rarity, her generosity is admirable, and she's not too frilly/girly (at least in the later seasons).
  23. I've resorted to getting on here in secret. They will never stop thinking negatively about it, and nothing is going to change that...for now, at least. I'm going to have to keep all pony things quiet. Thanks to everyone here for helping me through it, though. If I don't get discovered ever, I may just be able to keep being a Bony. It does appear as though they've forgotten about it as they haven't persued any conversation pertaining to MLP or Bronies, so I think I'm in the clear. Well, as clear as it can be when you're keeping secrets.
  24. Oh...well I wasn't joking. I do believe what I said. Secondly, it kind of sucks when they're joking about how terrible Romney is and how great Obama is, when I believe the exact opposite. And then if I expressed my beliefs, I'd be ridiculed for them! What? Ah well, it's life. What are you gonna do?
  25. I would only really be into Minecraft and would still hold the opinion that, aside from a few shows dying out, there's nothing worth watching on TV anymore. On the other hand, I probably wouldn't have had some of the hardest times in my life as of late, and my parents wouldn't have another thing to use against me. We also probably wouldn't be on as bad of a relationship.
