This band sounds much like Cradle of Filth, so there's fair warning if you don't enjoy them, you likely won't like these guys.

But if you do like Cradle, these guys are pretty freaking awesome. One of my personal favorites.

Oh shit, new Acacia Strain.

 

 

I kinda doubt many people will care too much about this release.  Death Is The Only Mortal was a weak release in comparison to their earlier work, in my opinion.

 

This single is sounding like a return to form, though, so we'll see how it goes.

From the Devin Townsend album, titled "Ziltoid the Omniscient" Here's one of the more heavy tracks, and one of my favourites.

The album is about a coffee fiending alien overlord who comes to Earth for the universe's ultimate cup of coffee, and decides the cup he receives isn't up to par, so he blows the planet up. There's more, but I don't want to spoil the story for you.

Holy crap, I randomly decided to listen to this song cause I remember someone in here talking about this album before (I think it was Twiliscael), and the part at like 0:45 to 1:00 made me crap my pants. That was amazing.

Okay, I just found something that's important to me, a new song released by a favorite band!  To be honest though, I'm not quite sure that I'm entirely happy.  I just listened to Insomnium's new song "Ephemeral" from their EP that they're releasing.  And no, I've listened to all of Insomnium's songs before.  I know their lyrics by heart from In The Halls of Awaiting to One For Sorrow - they're my favorite band with Above The Weeping World and Since The Day It All Came Down being my favorite albums.  However, their new song... it sounds slightly disappointing to me...  Edit: It's not a good song - it's actually quite generic, slight resemblance of them. I personally feel it's no where near their older works.  Their songs felt and sounded truly melancholic and melodic.  Is it just me?

 

 

 

Compare to their older songs - specifically my favorite.

Nah, the classics are good and all but for me DSBM is always where it's at, that's where you should expand your boundaries too

 

Lifelover are quite interesting. DSBM, Post-Punk, and a bit of pop elements thrown together into one pack.
