Im a mostly into the RPG shine of things in gaming.  Mostly I blame

it on Zelda back in the day when I was a kid and the NES....

Third-Person Action RPGs are probably my favorite atm, particularly Monster Hunter and Souls. Also have stuff like Kingdom Hearts and Nier in the backlog. That said I like most action games/RPGs really.Unless it's, like, super-janky action or old-school first-person RPGs that I find kinda hard to understand.

Oh yeah and fighting games are awesome, but I'm terrible at them!

Platformers are definitely my favourite. Indie titles have certainly helped maintain my interest in the genre.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Here's my top four:

  1. RPGs, most particularly Pokémon and Borderlands games.
  2. First Person Shooters, like Paladins or TF2 in particular.
  3. Platformers, like Kirby and Mario games in particular.
  4. Strategy games, even though I play them poorly.

Surprised that I never responded to this one before until now. Anyway, my favourite gaming genre is Role Playing Games. I just love how much character development and world building goes into these kinds of games not to mention fighting enemies through the use of strategy rather than simply using brute force or just avoiding them altogether.

I love sandboxes, though mostly combined with other elements/genres, such as RPG elements~ or survival of some sort. I love playing with my brother and these always are fun, as in games like these there are many possibilities, rather than following the storyline once and that's all, though these coop games are great too- well pretty much everything with coop is fun! :D

I also love:

- Platformers, preferably in pixel art with chiptunes playing in background. There are awesome and remind me of good old times. :kindness:

- RPG's, I love the character development, grinding to get stronger, hunt for loot and all of this. :yay:

RPG's - across multiple generations Eye of the Beholder back in the early 90's in 4 colour CGA :D through to Diablo III - considering Diablo on the Switch

FPS - once again from Castle Wolfenstein through Doom and CS (back in the 1.x days) and more recently Rainbow Six Siege (Less toxic players than CS imo)

Simulators - have enough fo the one at work every six months :I

Driving games - blimey these go back to Chequered Flag on the Spectrum for myself :)

My awesomeness is only second to my modesty B)

For most of my life, I have really enjoyed role-playing games, be they tabletop, forum-based, or in a video game!  During a magazine interview (sorry, I don't recall which one) Harrison Ford was asked why he got into acting.  His reply, "I wanted to live many lives."  Sir Ian McKellan is known to have stated, "Actors inhabit."

That's what happens to me when I roleplay.  I don't get in the way of the characters (like I did when I first started); I let the characters tell me what they are doing.  I let them teach me something.  Part of this is only possible because I am comfortable in my own skin and with the human being I have become.  Roleplaying is solidly responsible for helping me get there.

Not to mention all the good times and fond memories I've been lucky enough to be a part of!  I think I would not be a Brony if I were not first a roleplayer!  =)

Honor and fun,

Summer Storm =)
