I am not sure whether i want to read the gore fanfics (cupcakes, Rainbow Factory, Sweet Apple Massacre, etc) but i am wanting to read Pushing the Envelope. i've heard it's about derpy and ditzy. i know that it is a sad one, but i still want to read it anyway.

I have no interest in torture or gore fanfics. I get shockvalue woo stuff, but I hate it. I find it pointless and arguably sadistic. I never find it "lolwut" funny or anything of the sort.

The Rainbow Blitz Disaster is a nice fic, it's a Rule 63 scenario like On a Cross and Arrow, but it's longer. It's also pretty funny how Rainbow Blitz shows off some kind of ladies' man personality when he sees all the mares in Ponyville. There's a chapter where he thinks the Mane 6 are planning to kill him.

 

I'm on FIMFiction.net and there's one that seems like a funny one, "Soarin's Panty Raid."

 

Edit: I read it, but it was more descriptive than I thought it would be and less humorous, but the overall synopsis was funny enough for me to read it.

I haven't read much fan-fictions, but Cupcakes is... good? The story is well written and it makes you wanna read more, yet you DON'T wanna read more, and it's revolting. It's everything in a good story and book, into a sick and twisted fan-fiction.

 

I like it.

I absolutely love the book series Amulet. It's one of my favorites. I read it at a young age and I still love it!

I also enjoyed The Giver and The Outsiders. They have a nice plot and suck you in.

I recommend 'Cupcakes, 'Rainbow Factory and 'Trixie's Funhouse, unless you're under the age of eighteen. The content in the three are all explicit; and I advise you read at your own risk.

 

And 'Cheerilee's Garden. That is one of my favorites.

 

But, as for 'Sweet Apple Massacre, well, I didn't care for that one too much, so I don't really recommend it unless your the type who would want to read something so sick and twisted. Honestly, I think it's even more screwed than 'Trixie's Funhouse. Really. It was that bizarre.

 

As for fan-fictions in the 'Sad, 'Romantic and 'Comedy genre, I recommend 'My Little Dashie for people who like cute stuff, but also like Rainbow Dash; and also another sad one is 'Spike Is Sad and Kills Himself. Very sad. He does this, because of his love and desire for Rarity.

 

In the 'Romantic genre, I don't have anything except for 'Pillow Thoughts. It's on 'dA; and I recommend it for the AppleDash/Rainbowjack shippers.

 

Last, is 'Comedy genre; and I definitely, with no regret of recommending this one, is 'Shining Armor Is Too Handsome. It was cute, but not too funny, but still pretty funny. I, personally, liked it. Wouldn't say I loved it, though.

I've not yet finished reading Past Sins, but it is seriously amazing; I love it to death.  o3o

 

Another favourite fanfiction series of mine is what I like to call the "My Little Changeling" series, written by Niaeruzu on FIMfiction.net.  It's actually made up of three stories (with multiple chapters each), which are as follows: Thrown Abroad, which can be read as a standalone story; My Little Changeling: Friendship is Weird, which is a slice-of-life series that ends each chapter with a lesson in friendship learned by the changelings; and the newest one, Traveler's Exile, which is still being updated chapter by chapter each week.

 

I'm also a huge fan of Cupcakes, but apparently the version of it that I read wasn't the original, because I've heard everypony say that the original was very poorly written and had terrible grammar.  The version I read didn't have any grammatical errors and seemed to flow pretty well; it was probably a re-write by a fan.  Maybe it's weird that I like it, but...  it doesn't disgust me or freak me out at all.  In fact, it actually kind of made me hungry.  o___O

Apologies if it's already been mentioned, but I can really recommend the 'Lunaverse' stories on fimfiction - a whole collection of stories in a universe where Celestia went mad and was banished to the sun, Luna rules Equestria through the Night Court, and Luna's apprentice Trixie is sent to Ponyville to make some friends... Lots of epic adventures, political intrigue, comedy, and heartwarmingness (that may or may not be a real word!)

I have two FanFiction suggestions;

As the Days Go, by darf was a great story.  I thought it was amazingly written, and I think it deserves every single thumbs up it received. And with that being said, believe it or not, the second one, I like even more!

Fears and Consequences, by BronyWriter was hands down the best MLP FanFic I have ever read.  (Well except for My Little Dashie).  It writing is perfect, the emotional impact on the reader is very comforting, and you really feel for Pinkie in that story.  Just... go... right now!  Go read it!  But check out As the Days Go as well.  I still think it's a very good FanFic.  I just like Fears and Consequences better.

Haha, I actually don't read a lot of MLP fics... (Wow, I admitted that!) But some of my personal favorites include Paradise, fascinating ideas, and deeply engaging. Truly a wonderful and original fic. Definitely something to consider!
