As for the jars, it's pretty standard for Spicy to check for things the ones who have been there before wouldn't, and the walls would be as good a place to examine as anything. Since she knows what's worth something more than the average looter or adventurer/grave robber (and isn't under a time restraints or distracted by gold and gems) she'd actually look and take her time, which would lead her to find some clues to something being movable, and find jars of something she would recognize as being valuable. Though fair's fair, so let's say it's more that they're higher up in small holes into the walls, and again, the ones who had been there before were busy nicking the stuff that shined. As for why they're there, I'd say that dragon-proofing your tomb would be a good thing to do if you had done something they wouldn't like, say obtain a dragons eye, and whatever extra he had in his collection got buried with him.

Hey there, and thanks for the attention to the thread.

Small disclaimer first: This RP takes place sort of all over Equestria now. With the more people that eventually showed up, I had to branch out to not clash everything together. ^^

As for what it is about, it's basically what you want (within certain limits) and I will then be made to try and help the story in mind along. We have some groups spread around the whole place, with the largest being in a newly-made desert area in the Everfree Forest, though I tend to advise that it is easier for any newcomer to say where they wish to be, and then things can be eased towards it in the RP itself. It makes it easier than having to read hundreds of pages of RP to get with things.

As for what character... It's your call really. You could have several if you can handle it, and can argue for their inclusion. That means I need names, descriptions (both dealt with on all of them. Also, love the pictures, they're great) some backstory, personality, and of course, powers, if any. The last one tends to be the most important, as I try to filter the Mary Sue sort of folks away from this. No fun in dealing with someone who have a character that can do everything and have no weaknesses, you know?

Then, when the character(s) are picked, and their setup looks good, I'll approve it, and then talk who to pair him/her/them with. I have many chars, so I can usually accommodate things.

If I may come with a small suggestion though, right off the bat? Your emperor would be from a country that does not have the usual royalty like princes, kings, princesses and queens it seems, so him and his general could well be on a diplomatic trip, or simply to visit a neighboring country? i have an ambassador and a few others that may be well suited to dealing with a visit from esteemed outside guests for example, yet as said, this was merely a suggestion of the top of my head. Looking forward to hearing who you pick of your chars, and to know more about them.

I have no idea what you mean with DM's, sorry. Only words I get out of that is *Dungeon Master* but I can't make it fit the sentence.

 If you mean in the RP itself, I am not saying that I need everything explained, but I do require a short pointer of the most important part, and I do have to insist that it's posted here in the OOC, so that others may see it too.

You know, basic stuff, like where are they from? What is their work? A few lines or a short paragraph about themselves, that sort of minor thing. I fully encourage leaving room for most of the small details about backstory to be found through the RP itself. It leaves options to add some fascinating story.

As for the rest, I need to see that here as well. Having it in PM's or the like, makes it impossible for others to see if they may want to interact with you too down the line, which kinda takes away from things.

Name: Blu Silver Sunshine Traincrown, often called Your Majesty by his subjects, often called Blu by his friends

Protocol Name: His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Blu Traincrown of all Trainponies

Comes from: Ferroviaria, in the Trains Empire (a country next to Equestria, by the east)

Occupation: Emperor of said Empire

Description: Blu is a simplicity-seeker pony but has some wisdom within him. Back in his country he rules on behalf of his subjects, not on his own behalf. In other words, he has some sense of democracy and ponyty (humanity). However he tends to really be short-tempered, and can get mad at someone really fast and easily.

Backstory: Born an Alicorn, Blu is part of the Traincrown Dynasty, the dynasty reigning on his country. As his father was Emperor back there and Blu's an only child, he naturally was the heir and Crown Prince. With such a responsability to handle, his briefing and preparation to rule were handled by his father himself until Blu's father passes away. Since then he is Emperor of all Trainponies (the inhabitants of the Trains Empire.)

Description: Rose can be seen as a really harsh and tough mare at first glance, but is kind and loyal once you get to know her. She sticks to her morale, which is to stay professional no matter what. She even has a motto: "Discipline and Sense of Duty makes one strong." Sadly her sense of humour is pretty limited by her need for professionalism. This means she might end up taking jokes seriousely. Honesty really does count to her, to a point where she may hurt others' feelings by being honest with them from start to end.

Backstory: Born not really far from Ferroviaria, Rose's taste for the military early bloomed. Already she dreamt of signing in the Imperial Army when she was a young filly, whereas the others wanted to become stylists, as in the past she wanted to do something considered males only. Despite that she managed to reach her goal: sign in the army. As she happened to be a great military leader, she easily escalated ranks from Soldier to 3-star General.

Description: Despite his bodyshape and muzzle who could make one think he's a mare, Blue is male and hates being called a mare. He's a real thrill seeker and will always be game for a race or stunts in the air. He loves sweets, trains and to prank. He also enjoys reading anything related to romance. However, he doesn't joke when it comes to work, and can be stubborn sometimes. Like Blu, one can easily offend him.

Backstory: Born in Cloudsdale, Blue enjoyed his life there, but something was missing, but he couldn't tell what until he and his parents took the train. And boy his first meeting with a train really changed his life. There, he had it: He had a big interest in trains, as the more he travelled by train, the more he would like them. So there shouldn't be any surprise if I tell you his special talent is to draw and design trains.

 Life & Death.

  Admittedly, kind of vague enough to fit most of any pair of concepts one can see as interlinked pairs(Like "the chicken & the egg", but that's a little simple. Depends on context here.), but I do go with my first guess.

 With riddles, you're supposed to go awfully specific. To the point of "How was I supposed to know that?!" like having the answer be teeth, shadow, concepts, etcetra. My favorite... "What's it got in its pocketses?"

That is nearly perfect mate, well done.  I will approve General Rose and Blue right off the bat, though there is 1 thing I need covered in regards to his majesty before he can pass, and that is his powers, limitations, and potential weaknesses.

I am unlikely to use any weakness against him, but with Alicorns, I need to know what they can do, since their power can be up towards basically god-levels in people's head-canons, in which case I'd need to know the counters to that, just in case. Don't wanna have somepony too perfect.

As an example, I have one who have magic comparable or stronger than Alicorns, however she is under contract to not bring harm to any living creature, except in a few circumstances, and even then it's forbidden to go all the way. That is a counter for a high power level character, but I doubt this sorta thing would work on your majesty. He ain't dealing with shady beings for dark magic. Just trying to bring some context.

I'd say a simple *He can do this, but not this* sort of deal should suffice with him. I'm guessing he have the general telekinesis, and likely a few minor spells to pick from too, but since he's a ruler of trains... Some degree of technomancy? Easy counter there in magnets, or there not being anything metallic around to work with.

I'm sure this can be sorted in your next reply here, and then we can get on to matching chars. I already have two in mind which I think will work well for a royal visit.

Blu isn't so talented in magic. However he has strong ties with trains and railway stuff. This means he can change a simple piece of metal into a locomotive, rolling stock, or even rails. But that's the only "uncommon" ability he has. Of course he knows basic spells like telekinesis and teleportation, but that's all he can do. He never learned how to shoot magical beams nor how to attack with magic. He doesn't even know how to make a protection shield. In fact, Blu is a very peaceful pony and doesn't seek wars and battles. He will try his best to avoid them

Alright, I'll stamp him as approved as well.

Now then,t he chars I had in mind are as follows.

Ambassador Golden Sun. Originally from Saddle Arabia, but have been working for Princess Celestia for the past five years handling foreign diplomats, royal visits and the like when she or Luna is not available. He is also sent to escort diplomats and royals around who are not set to meet the princesses yet, and make sure that their visit is pleasant, and that they get the best experience of the country possible. Considering Emperor Blu is the king of trains, and Equestria depends on a functional railroad system, he would be someone that would get the best welcome possible, under the current circumstances. (I don't control the princesses, so this is my work-around. They are busy currently in the RP though, so he can explain what have happened)

He recently got injured pretty substantially, but long as he isn't tossed around, he should be fine. Just in case though, he have a nurse wandering around with him. Consider the nurse a faceless NPC who is merely there in case something goes wrong, and otherwise stays quiet. If talking is needed, I'll see if I can make up a face for the pony.

With him however, will also be a general. Now, in this thread, we have 3 generals. General Iron Wing, of the Solar Guards. General Midnight Screecher, of the Night Guard, and then the one I'm partnering you with.

General Tidal Wave, of the Coastal Guard. A small'ish earth pony mare with a somewhat ruffled appearance, but there's dangers on the shore, so it comes with the job. She is the current general of the Coastal Guards, and as the two other generals have theirs to see to (The former Solar Guard general have just retired and Iron Wing needs guidance in his first days) she were asked to escort Golden, just in case.

She's a kidder and more of a tomboy type, which might clash some with General Rose, but I'm certain that in their own, strange way, they'll learn to get along. Or you know, they'll duke it out and growl at one another. We'll see what.

Should mention that there is a reason why her uniform is more destroyed than it should be, but I figure you'll have some fun hearing about that in the RP itself. Simpler than you might think. Also, she have a trident on a clasp on her back, but I couldn't get that made in the creator, and since I can't draw a stick figure without breaking his arms, I'll do with these limitations.

These are my first suggestions, and will be on a focus that can make use of all your chars, being on a sort of visit to strengthen the bonds between the kingdoms, especially after the sad passing of Emperor Blu's father, and potentially to visit one of his top train makers. That being Blue, who I couldn't see if he lived in Equestria or elsewhere.

Anyway, your thoughts on this? I can go into more details if needed, but this is the first, raw sketch of an RP idea, and I figured that you'd like to use all your chars, so this might be the way to go to be all inclusive there.

Alright. So Cloudsdale means it have to be a pegasus, or a special kind of unicorn... Alright, gonna give you some options here, and you can pick.

Vivid Loss. Recall the one I said messed with demons? This is her.

She were pretty much trapped in crystal for the past few thousand years, so she's trying to see how the world works, and goes to a few places to see how things goes, and to see if any lost dead roams, as her special talent have always been to see and subsequently guide the restless dead to the next world. A connection could be made here if the train design that Blue is working on is supposed to run through the Crystal Empire, as Vivid works for the ponies who released her. That being Cadance and Shining Armor, though remember that she is under contract to cause no harm. She made sure to help them herself to make sure no loopholes were present.

Her personality can be erratic, as she have some emotional issues from a lifetime of pain and isolation, even before her deals, but she tries to do good, and reintegrating into society. She'll answer Blue back if he gets snippy, and perhaps flex some magical muscles, but that's about it.

Sorrow.

A half head higher than most ponies and out to see the world, and all it has to offer. Like Vivid though, she handles the dead, but the collection of them around her neck (Legion) is basically harmless. They mostly just look at things and talk to her. She herself is as happy as can be, and would find it fun to visit Cloudsdale, and see what a certain famous train engineer were working on. Have to be quite the experience after all, yes?

Benny.

He's about the height of a regular pony, with his neck, head and tail giving him more length, so he's a short one of his kind. He runs the forge in the Canterlot Armory, and could potentially be sent towards Cloudsdale to bring a message, or look for an update on a certain train design of his, as more than likely, Blue would need metal to be collected for rail tracks, and Benny might be part of the ones making sure they're made and set the right places.

He's highly friendly and loves hanging around with ponies, showing little of the regular draconic pride his kind tend to be known for. He have also lived in Equestria for around 6 years, after his pen pal pony mare thought they should meet, and after falling head over heels for her (literally, he was pretty clumsy) he moved to Equestria to be nearer her, and attempts to fit in as well as possible. He may bring candy from his marefriend, as she runs a confectionery, as a kind of gift, in case Blue is afraid of dragons.

And here's the last one, Molotov Boom.

Former member of the scientist and inventor town of Center Zero, him and his sister is the last members who weren't taken away by some mysterious entity. As part of the towns emergency protocol, all research into varied things are to be handed out throughout Equestria to fitting scientists and inventors, to see if they can use the data, rather than letting them go to waste. There may well have been one of said inventors that had worked on a new kind of engine for another transportation vehicle, but could never finish it, and had heard of Blue. Enough to think that perhaps that pony could find a use for his papers.

If not that, Molotov is a highly intelligent inventor himself, but things like engines aren't his strong point. He may well be there for a visit and offer to share some of his own designs, in exchange for some general engine schematics. You know, one inventor to another.

His wings are functioning, and runs on a solar-powered battery, located in the gem around his neck. The spider on the picture is also less fleshy that it appears, and are only covered in faux-fur, whilst the eyes are two lights. It's a robot he have designed that he calls Carmen, which holds his first breakthrough in a functional AI. A nice little thing, but curious, and long as she sees no clowns, she'll remain that way. He ran some experiments to test for functional intelligence on a clown doll, and have given Carmen an intense hatred of them through that.

Those are the ones I have in store right now, and I can say 2 things: 1. I hope one of them will suit your want (just ask if there is a particular one you want more details about) and 2. I need to make more pegasi among my next characters, cause gosh darn am I actually lacking in those. O.o

His family specialty through many generations are explosives and general, curious tinkering, and beyond the few who have not taken up inventing or engineering, all of them have some skill in causing things to mainly explode. That have at times caused some uhm... Sudden reductions in the family lineage, but overall it have gone over well.

Molotov specifically however, are primarily on solar powered gadgets, and robotics. His entire family always wants to invent the next great thing that they can present for the Princess Celestia, and get acknowledgement for it, and he have always thought that as the princess of the sun, she of any, would love something special that is powered by a clean source of power. That being the sun.

It isn't an easy task for everything, so he still have to make use of general batteries, oil, and such to get things working, but he attempts to perfect his designs to work on sunlight and electricity. (the later being in case it's a cloudy day and because it helps with the batteries) His wings are a prime example of that, though the design is not perfect. He's still trying to find a design that looks better, doesn't waste as much energy (a fully powered battery gives him around 6 hours of flight combined, which needs to be considered for cloudy days or nights) and doesn't have to involve invasive surgery to get the wings to react without the use of magic. He aim's to have a beautiful, energy-efficient design that even earth ponies can use safely one day, but he works on many things and can't stay focused on the same thing forever, so it takes time.

The part with robotics have been his main focus all his life though, and after trying about 1500 different approaches to it, being able to create a functional AI is what he considers as his greatest achievement, though it isn't perfect. He learns constantly and tweaks Carmen up to be better, and eventually hopes to be able to add a voicebox as well, so that she may communicate with others. So far, she have a system of whirs, beeps, clanks and the like that he have given her that makes up a basic, spotty language. Things like *Hello, pony thing. Repair good? Like.*. He'll usually translate what she's saying.

And uhm, try not to destroy her. Carmen may or may not be running on a kind of battery that could explode and destroy everything in a two mile radius. *whistles innocently*

He does have a second robot made with an AI, but they don't get along very well, and she is too big to go around with him, so don't worry about that.

I think that was about it. As said, Molotov specializes in robotics and clean energy sources, but he tinkers around in basically everything he can get his hooves on. It's just not everything he's all that good at, like engines. The intricacies of a robot is one thing, but a large, durable motor that can power an insanely large machine, such as a train? He gets the basic idea, but his own attempts just doesn't work too well, generally from over-complication and trying to work it like the finer parts of a smaller machine, which doesn't work all that well.
