   Speaking of beings eating other beings!

   I dunno, @dragon4111, instantly barbequing a stray pig (aren't they all accounted for on farms? Would think there's going to be a rather stumped farmerpony around soon!) or deer for that matter who are canonically known to have their own cities & cultures kinda seems paramount to serving as ambassador to a foreign country then making a show of eating one of their citizens in front of their chief.

    That being said though... nice picture of a Quetzocotl there! It's a right shame we don't have any long, serpentine, mythical beasts of varying amounts of fur/feather covering. Seems to remind me of a certain species. Draconequui, maybe? Can't help but think that might be an amusing meeting.

Ain't a problem with the request, but you should know that @Seamore Sandwich controls Twilight Sparkle, in case you wish to have a direct interaction with her. If it's just a message, it can be done NPC style at the door with a guard. Depends on what he wants as well. Sometimes the poor lad is quite busy.

I'm not saying that they can't eat meat per se, otherwise I would have written that it would kill them, instead of just making them sick. It'd be like if humans ate grass. Sure we could get it down, but good luck digesting it with your system reminding you who's the boss. Besides, in the show the ponies are so friendly with most animals that it would make it awkward if it was widespread that they ate flesh. Especially with Fluttershy around. She'd blow a casket. xD

A wild hog and a pig ain't the same thing either really, so not a big deal there. And as for deer... Yes, there are the smart ones, but I'm sure there's the regular sort too. Timberwolves needs to have something to eat since the ponies always gets away. Poor things would starve in the long run without some varied prey to go for.

Hello everyone I have returned, sorry for the sudden inactivity, me and my family had to move cities and such and I had very little motivation for a while to do anything.

Her message takes into account that Starlight Glimmer is Twilight's student and Spike, as well as her, had made friends with Thorax. It was just a request to ask Thorax to meet her near the Castle of the Regal Sisters in the Everfree. The meeting itself can be done off screen unless one of the PCs is traveling with Thorax. And that's why I was needing your permission for another thing.

 

I, for Cacora, am thinking that near the castle is an old outpost for the Changelings something abandoned long ago. This would be the nest where Cacora was first hatched. It would be where she remembers what she is and has to make a choice. Having Thorax there would give her something akin to guidance. I was thinking sense she would get there first, he could have found her in a completely distraught state and unsure of weather she can still be the Cacora, that the Caretakers know and love. This would be a very important turning point for her. And ifshe choses to she will be revealing her true self to the caretakers and the orphans. Thenits upto them to decide weather she is family and a friend or a monster.

   Hah! Shows what you know! As I read that I immediately went out to my backyard, tore a chunk out, washed it and am currently eating grass! Even should this cause a reaction, I'll just blame it on the soap I washed it with! Ain't nobody nohow questions my curiosity!

   I'm so proud of him! Just don't ever dare us to attempt to eat our own face off. He's very impressionable, you see!

 ...Kinda tastes like those bay leaves you put in stuff but aren't supposed to eat or something...

 

  Always kind of thought that Timberwolves were more timber than wolves. Mostly there to be bogeymen then wild animals. Well, like elementals more like. Like, they can certainly chew you up, but they don't need to.

    So too, I've always felt Fluttershy was right next to Applejack on being able to deal with death. She was pretty level-headed during Rainbow's... tank episode (...have...have we seen Tank since then?...) and when you raise that many animals, I'm sure you get used to it quickly. We have seen her feed worms & fish to other critters around her home before.

   But I digress, I've lost my point... if I had one!

So dear, @Lloyd & @Blitz Boom:

    Been reading a bit of the recent storyline betwixt you two. Does seem as if Blitzy is slowly beginning to write me in, so I was wondering If Lloyd's got enough in to give me a go-ahead in this too? Since I'll need a good amount of preparation time as I only have maybe two short paragraphs of a synopsis on my character before I fully (ironically enough) flesh him out enough to have a character sheet to give you guys & enough to go on before I start in on him. Also, Boom seems to be saying that I'd be Greed when I thought that was going to be taken by Warlock already.

  Basically, if I am to, what I'll need:

    Is a "Yeh, that's the plan, go on an' get to work, you!" from the both of you. I don't want to come stomping in two-thirds of the way through a story that Lloyd's invested in!

 I don't know if there's anything from the story so far I have to catch up on, but as that'd all be too past for my character to know anyway... maybe that's Moot anyway. At the very least, in the post before you get to me, I'd like it if you stopped at the sort of "Warlock begins to enter the room" point. Cause I kinda wanna go into detail about the room he's situated in.

   It might actually help if I gave you guys something about my character first before you start tossing leads my way. Kinda do want to play him as not so much evil, as a backstabbing weasel. Was thinking of aiming for the Betrayal Element since he's a very distrusting sort. Would make sense too if the Element of Betrayal is just in the moral gray enough to consistently flip-flop so as to better backstab everybeing. 

 

   Also, I'm wondering here. What do any of you think is a good enough size to both be "Able to have a pony riding on his shoulders" size and undoubtedly Kaiju levels, but still small enough to where he can walk city streets without swatting away buildings and his voice quiet enough to have a conversation without constantly sounding like an incoming avalanche. I'm aiming for Manageably Massive here!

 

    ...Holo's wolf form size?.... Hollows from Bleach size?...No, barely watched that one... Man, wish I was capable of visualizing proportions...  Let's see... think I had the headcannon that ponies' houses are roughly 15 to 20 feet which would make typical street size to be..........

Right now I can see it like this, if the current element of greed (pudding time) dies, Warlock can then get the element back from Pudding Tame. Sure they are technically both the Element of Greed right now, but remember. Warlock was out for several hundred years, so the mantle was passed to Pudding Tame for the time being, and once he's out of the picture, it goes back to Warlock, and since Pudding tame is technically immortal, you can just have somepony piece him back together if you don't want him to be officially dead right after his introduction. Maybe he can be resurrected so Warlock has to fight off Pudding later, because Warlock stole the element, and Pudding wants it back. Element of Greed would cause it's past owners to feel the need to have it again, like how the Orange Lanterns have only one member because it makes them so greedy.

Depends on if Blitz can work this in, or if you're cool with this idea.

Her ability to sense the emotions of others is as instinctual as tactile TK. She doesn't control it.

So if there is somepony with an emotion that effectively screams, 'Help me, please. I need help.', Then she more than likely will instinctively seek them out and wish to help them.

However, I don't control player characters or NPCs I am not permitted to have some control over.

That just means that if something is detected, I am not forcing an action. It's just what she can feel. It's the only changeling ability she still has, and because she hasn't been made aware she has it it acts on its own, because she never trained herself to be able to channel it. She will never have control of it.

@Lloyd Fhoo, and I had my heart set on the Element of Betrayal now!

   I do like the parallel you're drawing to the Orange Lanterns. Though I'm not sure on the sharing or fighting over of the same Element. While disloyal & reluctant, it shouldn't be too hard to cut a deal with Tame, especially if it involves getting his revenge on Daring Doo. Fighting with him should be ultimately one-sided though, because after all, its pretty easy to telegraph your punches the larger & older you are.

   I do suppose greed is pretty integral to my character, but with six aspects of vague emotional states to cover, it's quite likely we're going to be scrabbling to assign them to rpers.

   Unless... its entirely possible to shuffle them around. Like, as you said, Warlock & Pudding could both have been greed. Warlock first, then Pudding, then both were dead for a good span of time for a while. He goes off to find a way to recapture the mantle of Greed(since I think that's his aim after all, to have several of the Elements, if not all) from my character, succeeds then I gain the mantle of Betrayal after? I dunno, I do suppose Greed bleeds into Betrayal a bit since both do come from a place of selfishness. But I'm muddying the waters here now.

   ...Say, shouldn't Discord be involved in this?

    ...maybe we should make a list. Like, talk it over & sign up for which character goes to which Element.

 

   Oh, and @Midnight_Aurora, don't think you need to worry too much in that field about it being controlling. It's less a power & more of an ability, there's no harm after all in your character simply going up to somebody else to say "You seem a bit down, there anything I can do to help?" More of an instigation to incite action out of who you're working with rather than dictating how things go.

   An Empath, as I understand it, is pretty much passive & harmless. Now a Power of that same sentiment would be forcibly drawing out an emotion of a victim against their will like what I think Discord has done, or the Sirens (so I hear, haven't watched the movies) or say, Ursula from Little Mermaid. An Ability is sort of like a talent, a Power is alot more noticeable.

 

  On a completely unrelated note! I do seem to see that an awful lot. Where a character's backstory seems to overpower the personality. I mean, sure, I get it. A tragic backstory and a past to recover/move on from is a surefire way to tell an ongoing adventure! Just... I dunno, no one wants to hang out & be friends with some negative nelly Fluttershy type that forces you to ask about their backstory, right?

       Hmm, because I might be that in real life... heh.

Yeah, Discord would be like the embodiment of Disharmony so it would make sense. But judging by Athriel's attitude, she doesn't like Discord (She's a little thing in Chow's head right now, talking to Warlock through a splat of blood, because magic). Probably wouldn't work with him either.

Also, a list sounds like a good idea. But because the elements work better when separate, they likely won't form a group. I suppose so far we got

Element of Greed : Pudding Tame/Warlock

Element of Dark Magic: Keeneye

Element of Betrayal: ????

Element of Deceit: ????

Element of Depression: ????

Element of Cruelty: ????

So far, we have 2, depending on if other RPers want to join in on this and get their characters in on it.

Well, should probably give a brief run down. Warlock guy escaped, wants the Elements of Disharmony, specifically the Element of Greed.

Okay, now that the rundown is done. What element would they fit the most though? The element is either what they actually are the most like, or just what it causes when they wear it.

   I dunno, I think it's important there to not just have that trait, but embody it. Like, consider Pinkie Pie without her Laughter or Applejack without her honesty. It can't be just one part of them or something that overtakes the wielder by magical force, I feel that it has to be something like a way they live. Which is why I agree when some say that Flim & Flam share the Element of Deceit as far as cannonical characters go. It's not just something they do, but how they live their life. Lying to a pony's face is how they make money & undoubtedly get their kicks. Even if they learn their lesson or have to work with somepony else and let bygones be, honesty is still the naturally furthest thing from their minds that it might as well be the dirt they walk on!

   Take @Dji character, cruelty is just what was given to her, I don't get the feeling that it's something she lives by or purposefully goes out of her way to inflict on others. Heck, I'd be hard pressed to tack the title of Element of Cruelty to even Sombra. What he did was more akin to spreading fear, manipulating others. An embodiment of an Element trait should be fully aware of it, completely expecting to receive it as much as they dish it out.

   Like Chrysalis for Cruelty for example. Now, I haven't seen everything she's been in, but hurting others seems to be what she's utterly convinced is the only way things can be done. Even if given an alternative and easier way, she'll still chose the path of cruelty.

   I guess, in short. Signing up to be an Element Bearer of Disharmony should mean admitting your irredeemably evil in that specific way.

 

     Pondering aside, if I can be childish n' stick to my guns: I wanna be the Bearer of Betrayal. It's what I feel I can do the best job at.   ...if I'm to be in the story that is, of course. Betrayal (as much as greed, I suppose) was integral to that character. That, and being a kaiju pony. Loyalty is a sentiment I find myself... well, quite loyal to. Not that I've spent a notable portion of my life constantly mulling over emotions or anything....           ....Baka.

 

   Also! If I remember right, @Trixie .'s character's Alicorn Amulet is actually from an alternate reality. So it's AN Alicorn Amulet, not THE Alicorn Amulet. Which... *shifty eyes* teeechnically means there's two of those now in this world. And if that's linked in with the Elements of Disharmony...... that... might mean trouble there.

Would it be alright if I took up the role of Discord, when the time comes?  I have some ideas about the science behind the magic that brought Maple to this timeline, and it would make it easier for me to explain (plus, I already have an idea of what he might say.  Discord is such an easy character to portray since his chaotic nature makes almost anything plausible).

I have no issues at all with your idea for Thorax. As a plus thing, we don't actually have anypony controlling him, so if there's any who thinks they'd want to run with him, they can go for it. Otherwise he'll be more or less just an NPC.

Also, the outpost idea sounds neat. The castle have been abandoned for a long time, makes sense some creatures messed around the area in the time since, like changelings having an outpost. Ponies doesn't exactly go there often from what I can tell, so would have been a good one, at least once upon a time.

...I might have one that can accompany. It got dropped a bit at the end since the guy I wrote with vanished, but there were something wqith one of my chars supposed to go in and try to help relations between Thorax's kind of changelings and the regular sort. Could be she would accompany since he were the first she got in contact with before some of the regular, big hives. I can give you more info on Belladonna later on if this is the sort of thing you had in mind, otherwise I'll save her for another one. Sooner or later I find usage of my NPC's

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Busy days at work and I forgot to check here until today. -,-' Let's see what you got mate.

Well, short and to the point it seems. Poor mare. At least I can try and cheer her up a bit by giving her a big ol' stamp of approval for this RP.

You should try and have her meet my NPC's Null and Void at some point, they might have a good deal to relate about. Wasn't their parent's going at them, but they know about abuse, damages and being treated like dirt. Just an idea though, and you can do with it what you wish. ^^

As for what happens in this RP, it is basically where the wind blows us. ^^ I try to keep only a small degree of regulation on where it flows to stop it from being too chaotic and Mary Sue like, but where it goes the posts determine as we go on. Sure it might seem I'm just too lazy to give this a direction, but... Uhm, okay, I can't defend that too well. hehe.

As you seem to be interested int he parts about the Elements of Disharmony, and have seen Cruelty, I have no issues really. @Lloyd's idea so if he green lights it, I have no issue with it. Would fit your char too to have cruelty with her, even if perhaps she isn't too brutal to others. You don't need to hit and punch others to give off the aura and effect of cruelty after all, though the ffects in the end are up to you. Just nothing too graphical please.

We can have you popping in soon, even finding Warlock if you will to guide things from there first, and you can decide if your char have the element already or not. Might be she is looking of it, or doesn't even know she's supposed to have it. Or she does, it's up to you really. I just put the Warlock part up as a suggestion to one that can be followed, depending on how manipulative he might be. I could see him wanting other element wearers near until he had his own for some degree of protection, though once more, up to @Lloyd. Really,  think the three of us might need to talk a bit more about this first. I'll keep a look out here and see what can be brought up from us all about this.

Also, @Lloyd? There is one for an element in Athriel, though I don't call it the Element of Betrayal, but Treachery. I like the word better. :3 And from what I have found from googling around, it covers basically the same, so shouldn't be too big of a bother. *offers cake to smooth things out*

I've had Athriel set to be Betrayal (Or Treachery as I put it) for some posts now in the RP mate, sorry. :/ Then again... I could just take Deceit and edit in things to fit. It would still fit what I have in mind for Athriel, just with more plotting and playing in the shadows than downright work to destroy bonds between others.

.... @Lloyd I'll take Deceit then. Ignore the part I wrote to you about it before, though I keep it in to sort of make this make more sense. ^^

And for the record @Widdershins, being a part of disharmony doesn't mean you have to be evil, just that you're not exactly a choir boy. Discord is Disharmony, and he's not really evil anymore after all, even if he isn't clean in his methods.

While I do like new people joining in, you have to go through the initiation process like all others mate. You can't just jump in without letting us know something about your char. Otherwise this can just end in chaos.

Don't forget, I just introduced them to Cosmic. He is currently using what he thinks is a simple illusion spell. However, itis infact an advanced illusion spell. His current form only allows the use of wind and illusion based spells. His Combat magic is elementally aligned.
