Do you ever struggle with sleeping?

I think the proper term for it is insomnia. I struggle with it ALL the time. In fact, I'm dealing with it right now as I type this. Most of it is due to the stimulant I take for my ADHD, which I've tried to stop taking. It didn't go over very well. :(

Anyway, what about you guys? Do you have any trouble sleeping? Maybe going to sleep?

Sort of. I'm not sure if I have natural insomnia, but I'm a stubborn night owl, who naturally doesn't fall asleep easily. I have friends who can go from talking to snoring in the space of two minutes, whereas, I can only fall asleep when in a bed, in the dark, with blankets, etc, and it takes at least fifteen to twenty minutes. Doesn't matter how tired or not tired I was before-hand, because that never changes regardless.

I kind of have this routine I have to follow before I can sleep. My fan has to be on, my TV and laptop have to stay on (I hate pitch darkness), I have to have my plushies to snuggle with and there's lots more. I just can't think of it right now. I think the talk of sleep paralysis in another thread kind of scared me a little.

Most of the time, I usually can't sleep at all. I've tried everything to help me get some sleep too, and I think I'm just going to give up on that. Nothing is going to be able to combat the concerta, now matter how hard I try. TT_TT

I never sleep more than 5 or 6 hours unless i'm terribly tired. I do however, take naps. I was hyper as a child, and it seems my body has finally caught up with me. Nowadays - i'm coffee powered.

I can fall asleep almost anywhere at this point in my life, after sleeping in various Humvee's and in the middle of a mortar attack. I used to have issue with sleeping alone (as in no one around in my house or in the same room as me) when I first returned home, but soon after I was able to fall back into a normal night-shift sleep schedule. The biggest issue I have is changing sleep routines as it takes me almost a month to go from working at night and sleeping days to the opposite.

All the time, I struggle. I always have, and I suspect I always will.

My trouble is that my mind is far too active.

I sometimes have trouble sleeping. I don't have insomnia or anything but for some reason, I end up staying up all night because I can't even close my eyes for two seconds! And no, I don't use my phone to bed. I only use it to text my friends but other than that I don't use it. I always wait one hour after using my laptop so my brain activity goes down so I can sleep easier. :)

I have started to struggle with sleep in recent days (probably because I expose myself to too much 'scary' content on the web). I usually can deal with my sleep issues by turning lights near my room on and reminding myself that what I'm scared of is not real and that there is nothing behind (or around) me. However, I feel like I need to do something to get rid of all my paranoia, insanity and fear of the dark so that I don't need to do any of the aforementioned actions.

i have the complete opposite, i get way too much sleep!

there testing me for narcolepsy... and hopefully i can get more restful sleep in the future.

I'm a narcoleptic myself. I sleep too much during the day as well, but I wake up at least 3 or 4 times every single night. It really messes up my deep sleep.

Well I have no struggles with sleeping as I am a very Heavy sleeper who also sleep talks, oh and I fall asleep whenever I feel because all I have to do is lie down and close my eyes. I never understand how it feels to have trouble sleeping as I have never had any in fact I have very good sleeping patterns and have ease falling asleep.

Don't judge a book by its cover. You will truly understand it if you're just willing to read it.

Usually. If I'm not tired, I'll spend at least an hour in bed before I can fall asleep. Sometimes when I'm excited about something on the next day, I just can't fall asleep because my body is too pumped up '~' .

If normally falling asleep at 12 or 1 and it takes you 30 minutes - 1 hour to actually fall asleep counts as insomnia, yes, I do struggle with sleeping.

Not really. I do usually stay up much later than I should, though, so I'm usually pretty tired by the time I hit the hay. I'm sure that's a factor somewhere :please:

I used to take till like midnight maybe even 1 in the morning on a school day to fall asleep like 2 years ago. Sometimes I wouldn't even be able to fall asleep and I ended up staying up for like 35 hours straight before walking into my closet and collapsing from exhaustion.

But I can't do anything but fall asleep early lately. Like whenever I'm at a friend's house I'll be knocked out by 10:30. My best friend always get pissed off because I'm always asleep by that time and he's up till like 1 in the morning playing Mirrors Edge by himself while I snooze on his bed.

All of the time. I used to able to go to sleep around 9pm, then 10pm, then 11pm, Now it's all 12:30 - 2:00am, with the most frequent being 1:00am. I think it's the internet, but then again why is it does my brain waits until last min to remeber something that I had to do online? Other times it's cuz my brain gets active at night. Contemplating about TV show theories, mainly PR, SS and Doctor Who. Or what the other day is gonna be like. IT's a mess. Eventually I do sleep.
