@@Moonlit,

Ziggy opened her mouth to answer, but the things in her head weren't dissipated completely yet, so the only words that came out of her muzzle were *Rawr rawr*, which made her toss her hooves in front of her mouth to cover it up. Mainly to stifle a laughter.

"S-Sorry, had my thoughts elsewhere."

She took a few deep breaths and let down her hooves again, trying to be serious about things. Or well, as serious as the peppermint zebra seemed to be in general, but she held back any laughter at least, so that was the important part as far as she were concerned.

"Anyway, what I know about magic? Well, not much beyond zebra magic really, and that's a bit spotty too since there wasn't a lot of literature on that when I grew up, and dad couldn't be in the hospital to tell me stories that often.

Frankly, I mostly just know the general idea of the natural, element balance, the three prime elements of chaos, light and darkness, and the disputed element of soul. And the medical applications when they are in the hospital. Though how it works and the finer details I don't really know. Doctor studies took a lot of focus and we were advised to go with what we could, so since I'm not a unicorn or that good with zebra mojo, I was put on a study course that mostly boiled magic down to *Do as it says on the label, or ask a unicorn*."

@@Wolves,

Before she had a chance to leave, the doctor rose his voice up a bit to make sure that she heard him.

"Apply the first layer within the next half hour, tops. The sooner the better really. For now, I hope that you will get well, and may you have a good day."

That would be the last thing he said before returning to his shelf and the two of them leaving, giving Happy just the last look at things in the office and put down a few things mentally before this were done and they could get on their way towards the outside again.

"Heh, no worries Cyan. Truth be told, it have been nice to help you, though it would be nicer without the si-"

A pony bumped into him as he were speaking with Cyan, making him stop his sentence and feel a rapidly increasing urge to beat the offender up a little for this. He didn't have the chance though before he would go on, mumbling something about *the winds being crazy outside*.

Now that he listened though... He could swear he heard a few others speaking about the wind. Broken words here and there, yes, but rapid mention of the word along with *hurt*, *nowhere* and *bad omen*. Those were the things he could hear clearly at least as they passed a few towards the exit.

"Huh... I wonder what's going on..."

Honestly, *wonder* wasn't correct. A more accurate description would be that he were feeling slight fear and some paranoia about what was going on. A little talk about the weather shouldn't, but there had been something in the tones and such with ponies that didn't exactly instil him with a lot of confidence.

What an easily distracted nuisance this one were.

One of many thoughts that went through the head of Zhu as he ran forward, taking small leaps from side to side to not be easy to hit in case the creature had decided to try his hand at that. Something it seemed not to have done and instead focused on the man from another world. Not the smartest of things it could have done, but it would serve his purpose well.

It would be a little before he would get there, but when he did, he would take a large leap and go for a spot near where Sisilia where clinging to, fangs bared and ready to bite down and deliver his own part of the venomous cocktail the Creator had asked of him to dispense. And much like Sisilia, he weren't going to let go, but would to the best of his abilities wrap himself around the limb until there were no more toxin left in his venom sacks.

The venom that ran through him were an odd blend. In small dosages, it could make the victim face delusions and make them susceptible to input from what they could be lead to think were themselves, but as the dosages rose the state on the mind altering toxin would increase too, leading to even the hardest of minds to feel their sanity crack or their brain beginning to work against them in other ways. Though this he knew from what happened to normal beings, and depending on what he were willing to use. This would be the first time that he used it all, and the result would be... Interesting.

Even if he had seen things happen, and knew how the end could come through this, seeing it through another's eyes and his own weren't the same. it did not give him the perspective he needed at times, and when this one fell he would want to see it with his own two eyes, rather than the mirrors of others.

@@Blitz Boom, Serenade snickers at the 'rawr', before nodding. "The reason I ask is because I find that different types of magic leave behind different smells. So for example, when a Pegasi manipulates a cloud or a Unicorn teleports it leaves behind a residue." Serenade takes a deep breath, and moves the larger of the books aside, "I think that if somepony was looking for that residue, they could figure out I'm a Siren. And that brings me back to what I said earlier...about Princess Sparkle reeking of Siren magic. Each Siren has a unique 'aftertaste', and well...." The Siren takes a gulp, "She tangled with very powerful Sirens, specifically the Three Sisters. And I fear her interactions with them may have colored her opinions."

Serenade closes her eyes, "That's why I tend to be more active at night, so I can avoid running into the Bearers, and the Solar Guard. At least with the Lunar Guard, I can simply ask them to check with Princess Luna."

Dark Horse was almost overwhelmed by the sudden sweet scents that filled his nostrils upon entering, a rapid change from the fresh flowery aroma of Ponyville. He even briefly pondered if the building really was made out of pasty, but quickly shook the thought from his mind.

Giving an awkward smile at Serena's enthusiastic trumpet imitation, he suddenly found himself ogling open mouthed at the shop's numerous display cases, Serena listing off the various sweets and treats contained within. "So many choices!" he thought to himself as he slowly became lost in the display, only coming back to his senses when Serena cheerfully asked if he had made up his mind.

"Huh? What?" Dark responded, shaking his head "Oh! Umm... That's a good question. Everything here looks so good. I'm not sure if I want this, that, or just one of everything.." The dark brown unicorn pressed his nose against the glass, eyes anxiously darting back and forth like his life depended on the simple choice. He was never any good at making choices. Seconds slipped by, as Dark grew ever more anxious, eventually even shuffling his front hooves up and down as he tried desperately to decide.

"AGGH! Just give me... THAT one!" He slammed his hoof down on a random spot of the glass, pointing towards a plate of delicious looking profiteroles. "...oh hey, those look nice!" he enthusiastically stated as he properly examined his choice, the stress vanishing from his face. "I'll take some of those!" He gave a sunny smile towards the shopkeep, who was regarding the Unicorn's outburst with bewilderment.

Without another word, Dark spun around and went to join Stardust at the corner table. As he seated himself, he gave the yellow Earth Pony an embarrassed smile and cleared his throat.

"Ahem... sorry about that."

"Did she at least tell you about how we helped Rarity open a new shop in Manehattan? I helped by getting the whole place organized by style, cross-referenced by size, and reverse indexed by fabric." She seemed really happy when describing this, as she always does when she's talking about organizing things. Starlight clears her throat loudly. After a pause, She asks, "So, are we going to get to the lesson or what?" Then Twilight got an idea, "How about the two of you spend the day together?! "Oooh. Well, that makes a good deal of sense. Never figured magic left smells behind though. The things you learn, huh?"

Ziggy scratched her head. She had heard of residue being left behind before at the hospital, sure, but smells? She'd think that they would have included that amongst the whole *beware with magical residue when you treat a patient, or they could get a mutagenic infection* thing. Would make it easier to identify perhaps.

Then again... Might just be that not everypony could smell it? She knew that some smells were delicate and only could get traced by certain races or ponies with rare genes, so it were feasible she suppose... Something to think about later.

"So... What to do? Is there some kind of soap that can be used to scrub off things? Perfume to hide it? Or is this one of those *hush* *hush* things where I'm better of not knowing what's going to happen?"

She didn't find it any fun when there were things where she were told stuff akin to *it's above your pay grade* or *it's better you don't know* or of course the old stable *you wouldn't understand it anyway*. Still, she knew there were those sort of situations and she accepted that, even if it made her curious, and considering things, she figured that this might be one of those times. Most of the siren-related business seemed to be between just Princess Luna and Serenade herself, and Ziggy knew that sharing anything of the things she were aware of were bad, so she'd completely understand there being a limit to what she were to be told.

Still, she'd like to help her friend here in what way she could. Especially if it could stop a potentially biased pony from finding out there were a siren in the area, that she'd feel compelled to go after. Nothing good could come from that.

A point that was reached about 10 seconds after he had first gotten the whiff of coffee when he saw the stand where the big barrel of dark, warm, energising brew were nested in, and he automatically went towards it and the small line at it.

It would take a few minutes, but eventually he'd reach the front desk and the clerk that remembered him from yesterday when he had also come around to get a big cup of joe. The Night Guard were an easy one to remember amongst the usual customers and considering that he once more bought the biggest cup that he could get, something told him that it were going to be a recurring meeting between them. Something that Stargazer didn't mind at all since without coffee, he had trouble handling these multiple days with little to no sleep runs that he had been through ever since he got to Ponyville.

Really, he were starting to get why Princess Luna had asked him to come here to help out.

His coffee on the go, Stargazer flew a few meters up and started to look around, seeing if he could find out where Rapid were. Might be he had been near him the entire time, but right in the moments before he had been able to get his hooves on the brew of life that he were now chugging down a little by little, his focus hadn't been all there.

Meanwhile, the creature swung the arm Sisilia was clinging to straight for Quinch and Quill. It had decided to deal with these nuisances first.

Quinch saw the massive arm swinging down at him just in time for it to hit him like a freight train. He heard the crumplesuit crunch and give way to the alpha strike, even as the force of being swatted out of the sky like an errant bumblebee made him black out. He wasn't so lucky that it would be much of a respite - the in-suit systems started screaming at him the moment they realized he was unconscious, just in time, again, for him to hit the ground, this time that much harder for the second time in as many hours.

He tumbled across the ground, arms flailing as he tried to stop himself, digging his fingers deep into Ponyville dirt. Clenching his fist, ears ringing and head spinning, he struggled back to his feet, a gigantic, almost comical dent across his chest.

The soothing voice was heard near them again before a small poke from what felt like the tip of a needle or sharp claw would be felt on Lin's right side. Though, for her it would feel worse than just a poke. It would feel as if the claw spread a fire that burned through layers of skin and veins, entering her blood and passing through the stream. A feeling that would go away after the poke were done, about a second after it first landed, but the memory of it would likely linger for a while.

It seemed like the one who owned the stand had been there long enough to remember a local from a newcomer/tourist, but like most in town, didn't get unfriendly because of that. A customer was a customer and a pony a pony after all, didn't matter where they came from before that.

A little above, Stargazer had taken notice of Rapid as well and flapped a little away from him, drinking his coffee and waiting for the pegasi to complete his purchase. As the door opened they would enter a great room where the ceiling were hard to see from the vague light the ghostly candles gave off around the room. It had plenty of room though, as were evident by the space from wall to wall, and that the three, rough pillars that hung from the ceiling and escaped the floor by a few feet, didn't feel like they took much space.

Not that there were many things here either. A bed stood there, grand and looking comfy as few, but it were barely touched from the looks of it, and neither were the few chairs, the bench and some sort of large, see-through bowl. Only thing that seemed really out of place here though, were a watery orb that floated in the middle of the room, with a piece of purple rock inscribed with multiple-colour gems underneath it.

It looked to be floating with random patterns of the colours of this plane and never standing still, like a droplet that someone stirred into, but beyond that it seemed harmless enough.

"We are here, Mother."

Nerzhei turned her head and looked at them disinterested, though mainly at Lyriel, as she were the one she heard the clearest.

"It's easy to track if you have the right tools and the brain to read the signs of it."

She withdrew the orb she had reached towards them earlier and showed it before returning it to its spot and moving onwards.

"Pff, being brainy and researching only got you so far Nerzhei. You still can't track well enough with that thing, or you wouldn't need me."

Qert seemed to get in his two cents in from behind them as he jumped into yet another tree, keeping his constant watch on the ponies and listening in far more than Nerzhei cared to right now. Just in case they said something that were important in some sort of way, though thus far his first encounter with ponies hadn't left him with much reason to think they would.

"True. Sometimes it needs another tool to work properly."

There were some mumbled cursing behind them, and in front of them, a dragoness suddenly looked a good deal more entertained as a smirk went over her face from lashing back at her small companion.

Meanwhile, Lyriel just let out a small sigh and turned to Summer, lowering her voice some so that it wouldn't be as easy to hear for other than her equine companions.

"And I do not fear them for are, I fear them for what this means, as the peaceful life I knew before this have now ended. Though I do not fear they will bring me harm as long as I show them my respects, I worry what are to happen, as even if I am to stay here, they will know I am here now. There will be no more of this silent exile for me, and though it excites me some to think of what can be... I worry about change."

She looked down on Summer and Frosty, then to Blitz that were seemingly not listening in much and were instead following the movement of Qert, and a small smile spread on her face.

"Though if you can go through this with your heads held high, I will try and think of this positively."

"Okay!" Syo replied and then she jumped and sat on her key staff before floating over to Brair. "So let's go!"

Before Syo was about to go, she remembered something. "Oh yeah, before I forget..."

Syo flew up and jabbed her key staff into the air, golden ripples radiated from the end of her staff. After doing that, Syo came back down and floated beside Briar. "Ready to go?"

Up in the air, the ripple is getting bigger and something seems to coming through; the tip of a spider's leg can be seen coming through.

@Seamore Sandwich, @Mentis Solilquy, @Blitz Boom,

Priestess cocked her head and sniffed the air as the veil between dimension and pocket dimension began to thin. Enough for her to catch a familiar scent. And soon, a familiar sight. "Wait. Isn't that the giant diamond chaos spider we had to forcefully engage due to it being placed randomly in our vicinity?"

@@Denim&Venom,

"What in the darkness name have you been doing?! What is all this?" She was surprised at what Priestess had been up to in her absence. Walking over to her. "Please why are we still here can we not just go home? I want you and our little one safe and safe is not here with them."

@@Mentis Soliloquy,

"Because a threat has been unleashed by whomever set that spider upon us, and by the sounds of it, none of us will be safe until that threat is taken care of. Sorry beloved, but we're in the thick of it."

Beloved. Allure winced slightly at that, hearing her special some foxy, the mother to her children, call another her beloved too.

"Then you better make sure that we get out of here fast. Crescent shouldn- I mean, We shouldn't become prisoners because you got slow or thought your little issue would take longer."

Cresent herd the two thinking, his friend was right on the fact of being slow or the like, "easy now, we ended up here on a fluke at the  least, yet I do have to agree" cresent eyed the slug who's name he still couldn't remember for the man of him.

"And something tells me running into luna might....or might not help us out. seeing her in a middle of a fouls dream would be rather odd explaining" said the batpony. Unsure if he just jinxed them all or not

@Blitz Boom

"Sport?" Rapid Wind fumed, "Why does every pony assumes Pegasi ponies race around or do some athletic event?" Then, he sighed and calmed down as he felt maybe he was overreacting to a greeting.

"Sorry, I'll take one cappuccino," Rapid Wind said much quieter.
