As many others have said before, hate is a too strong word to describe, but I've never been a fan of excessive shipping. Sometimes it almost starts to feel like people think that everything just has to be necessarily romantic. Even if it's just two characters hugging or even standing beside each other.

And also ships that make no sense.

Shipping two random characters just because they where seen next to each other, anthro art, fixfics, crossovers, and NSFW related. Makes me think a second about being a brony.

A lot of people like the songs in the actual show, except for really bad ones. For me, I've always disliked singing in shows, it makes me feel uncomfortable and I don't know why. There are a few songs I like though for example Pinkie Pie's Smile Song.

Basically almost everything about changelings. Especially the sissy good changeling in "times are a changeling". The episode was good but I hated the good changeling idea. 

 

 

Look, I get it, everything is a friendship lesson...but does EVERYTHING have to revolve around that? Should be more to life and more to magic than just friendship alone. Other elements in life y'know~!

 

 

I don't like Princess Cadence, to me she is a completely useless character just used as filler to fluff the world out. Serves no purpose in the world outside of her one city kingdom.

Whoa, hey there now! Calm down! It ain't hate!...per se...

 

That's what gets me about Fluttershy, she seems more a trope then her own character. Nearly every episode she's in seems to beat her over the head with her fears and while I know fearfulness isn't exactly something you can grow out of easily, it sort of comes across to me as if their just rubbing her all over your face in a bid for your attention. Sure, I know there is more then a few reviewers and fans and the like that have put effort into making the videos on the Youtubes pointing out how she's grown as a character and changed a bit as the episodes progressed, it still sours a bit with me. I just get this feeling that when FLUTTERSHY gets all scared & shy it's okay, but were you to act like that in real life no one would care to give you a second glance. When SHE does it, its all cute & endearing & attractive, but when your a guy that's pretty much her copy you oughta feel bad about it.

 

Sigh...but maybe that's why I hate her. Because she reminds me of me. I squeak when I'm spooked, I literally jump at my own shadow, I'm more comfortable with animals then my own kind, I have very niche interests & hardly ever talk unless you outright demand me to, Heck, were I to straighten & grow out my hair it'd look exactly like hers. Just about the only difference is species and gender! Maybe I'd feel better about it if they ever cared to show in the show how on earth a heavily introverted pony like Fluttershy who actively avoids others managed to make any friends, much less childhood buddies with the rashest, most extroverted one of 'em. Huff. No one ever comes up to me to force me on friendship-forcing lethal adventures or hires me to to orchestrate bird choirs....

Fallout Equestria. It's a boring adaption fic of a boring video game series.

I have to agree with you there, on some parts. I personally like the Fallout universe but I didn't like Fallout Equestria. I got intrest ed because I thought it was going to be a completely new story after the pony fallout. Not some sort of rewritten version of the plot of the Fallout games.

Actually, Equestria is based on North America. This is clearly shown on the map.

Of course it isn’t a copy-paste, it has its own things, but you can really tell that it was heavily inspired by the North American Continent. Just look at the Tenochtitlan basin on the south. Tenochtitlan it’s the capital of the Aztec Empire which once bloomed in central Mexico. 

They’re not really that far from reality, even though they’re technically wrong, when they say that it’s the US.

EqG. I don't know how loved that actually is but for me, I've never watched it and I never will as long as I live. One of the gazillion things I love about FiM is how simply timeless it is, it doesn't have to follow the latest trends or be hip with a certain crowd. It can reflect real life scenarios, but with a timeless feel to it that will make it live forever and last as long as it has. 

From the small amount of material I've accidentally seen from EqG, all of what I just mentioned is gone. Too hip, too trendy and way too anime-esque. I didn't become a brony to see teenagers prancing around in a school and having idiotic teenage romances, I became a brony to see the ponies that I love so much and have saved my life in countless ways.

Equestria Girls should have been something else than the Mane 6. It really stepped on the Bronies toes. And it was the ultimate rip off from Lauren Faust's original ideas.

Thought you could argue some Bronies started the whole "what would the Mane 6 look like as humans?" and started drawing anime characters. And that "I'd like to be a tree-tree" Fluttershy song that was so famous, having a human Fluttershy for no reason at all in the video.

 

However @TomDaBombMLP, if you haven't given Equestria Girls any chance, you are missing out one of the best episodes and epic moments in Friendship is Magic if you haven't watched the special "Forgotten Friendship". Go and watch it on Netflix immediately! I had given up being a Brony after FIM Season 4, and "Forgotten Friendship" got me into drooling for ponies again! It is my second all time favorite episode of all time (we are talking Friendship is Magic here!). And it made Equestria Girls slightly more fun as well!

Thanks, man. I simply can't look at anything EqG related, period though, regardless of how good it might be. It's just like the worst kind of fan-fiction for me. I just think it's a dumb concept that betrays all of what FiM stands for. I want to stick to what I love and that is the Mane Six as they are and will always be.

I'm sorry if it feels like I'm ranting. That's not how I am at all and I don't want it to come across like that. I know a few people here who don't like EqG either. If you'd like me to name them, I will. I just don't understand why it had to exist. I don't know and maybe I'll never know. It's not even canon to FiM which is good for the ones who are only a brony because of FiM, like myself. I just want the Mane Six to be safe from all the messed up things that happen in this world.
