Do you ever argue with yourself?

Like straight up talk to yourself and fight with yourself? I do it all the time, helps me think. Like yesterday.

>Be me, watching the news

>see some new Ebola news

>begin thinking about how they can quarantine

>be other me, says no you can't quarantine people

>first me, yes you can, how else can we save people

>second me, it's a matter of freedom of travel

>First me, well naturally, but restricting a couple bros and sisters is worth it to prevent the spread

>call myself a moron

>laugh and change the channel.

I can't be the only one, right?

Oh yes. I've taken up both sides of an argument with myself before and ended up coming up with some of my best ideas in the process.

Pft no I don't, completely sane over here!

You lie, you know you hear us...

Who was that, did you guys hear something, I didn't hear anything!

One day you will acknowledge us...

Man it must be windy today!

All the time. I'll do it while I'm brushing my teeth.

I never fight with my inner "me's". We've reached an understanding years ago and have reconciled, ending the civil mental war forever. We still hold public debates however, where every me is free to express their own opinion.

Information runs freely in my mind, it's not "fighting" as you would describe it. Thoughts appear as harmonious streams of images and noise for me, if i had to describe it.

Yeah I argue with me most of the time

I wouldn't say I argue, per se.  I would say there's a warm, laid back, trusting side of me which always converses with a coldly logical, cautious side of me, and they just try to come to an agreement.  I even have different voices for them, and will speak out loud if nobody's around.

Yeah, but arguing more than just that inspirational bro inside you.

>be me

>what do they really mean by the second amendment

>Le attack counter examples, build more

>attack the attack, build more

Also sometimes I even role play with me lol wut, somebody else??!

Ah dude I love doing that! Sometimes I actually scare myself. Give me goosebumps and shizzles. And then I think, wow. That's some sketchy crap right there. I also like to imagine myself as a superhero saving all the peeps n such. Guess I'm crazy or something.

Occasionally you can catch me talking to myself. Rambling on incoherently about something or other. It's usually the case that I'll say exactly what I'm thinking when deep in thought or problem solving, even counting to that matter.

But I can't say I really argue with myself. After all, it's my own thoughts. I don't see how that's going to work. And plus, I suppose I'm a fairly agreeable person anyway. I wouldn't want to argue with anyone, let alone myself.

Though sometimes I'll talk even when nobody is listening in particular. If you could define arguing as externally discarding and rearranging ideas with yourself, then I'd have to say yes.

I argue with myself all of the time. I guess it's part of the territory with being a writer. I argue with my characters while writing, I argue with myself when I am contemplating. I've even gone to myself for advice and have learned from myself time to time.
