It annoys me to see a thread that's comprised of more than one topic. I mean really? Why not just make two separate threads instead of mashing them together? And it's stupid because when someone wants to make a thread on just one topic, if there is a thread that includes both that topic and something else, it'll probably get merged :/

When I make a post that seems like so many people would answer to and I either get no answers or one. Happened to me a few times and I'm like "Really people?".

And when someone wants to fight with you over your opinion. Like, they really want to bring you down or something...seriously. This is a forums..post your opinions.

When I give out my opinion on something.
And when some people think my opinion is wrong and they assume that there is no reason behind it.
And they call me an idiot without even countering my opinion.
Yes, this actually happens.

Happens to me a lot. I usually get someone wanting to fight me and get so butthurt over my opinion. Like, sorry I think differently than you? Sorry us humans are not all the same? Sorry it offends you?

Wikipedia - Warnock's dilemma:

The problem with no response is that there are five possible interpretations:

  • The post is correct, well-written information that needs no follow-up commentary. There's nothing more to say except "Yeah, what he said."
  • The post is complete and utter nonsense, and no one wants to waste the energy or bandwidth to even point this out.
  • No one read the post, for whatever reason.
  • No one understood the post, but won't ask for clarification, for whatever reason.
  • No one cares about the post, for whatever reason.

The size limit of profile backgrounds.

255KB?

I HAVE TO COMPRESS THE SHIT OUT OF MY BACKGROUNDS TO GET BELOW THAT LIMIT. AND THEN MY BACKGROUNDS HAVE A HORRIBLE AMOUNT OF NOISE IN THEM, (and the colour gets slightly desaturated). D:

File limits on everything seem to be the worst for me personally.

Good-looking signatures and profile backgrounds seem compressed when you push them down to the correct file size/resolution (a few still look great when resized though).

Avatar-wise, I can typically work with 150kb for a gif with no problems but some gifs I have to remove up to 30 frames or more from just to get it down to 200kb, let alone below 150kb.

Some people on this site get really butthurt if you say something they don't like.

With me, when they get that way they usually try to debate me on my opinion.

And when I do debate them, they get even more angry.

So usually I just agree with them just to get them to shut up.

I've learned it that if an individual is enraged, it is best not to debate them.

BUMP POWERS

I hate the notification glitch where the notification doesn't come until I click another page. Like, if I'm away playing a video game or something like that, and I don't get a notification until I've clicked on another page.

I also dislike it when I post a good or funny topic on the forums.. and it dies within minutes.  :(

It also bothers me for some reason that I can't get notifications for brohoofs on my blog posts. Well, I don't think I can at least, because I can't find an option for it in Settings. But man, I'd like to know who's reading my blog posts, and who's agreeing with them, but it just.. bothers me that I have to actually go to the page of my post to know. I know I can get comments, but I'd also like the notifications for brohoofs in my blog.

The next one isn't so common, but I might as well post that..

I dislike it when I post about something I like in a thread, that's on topic with the thread's question or so, and some user quotes me just to go "That {item} sucks!" I mean, seriously, I didn't ask your opinion if you liked it or not, so don't bother quoting. Now, if it's to say "I disagree because ____" I'm fine with that, but if you're going to do that simple, 3 word, post, don't bother. Please.

I would complain about how you need to purchase stuff for bigger pictures in a siggy and all that, but to be fair, this isn't a site that everyone in the world goes on, so it doesn't probably doesn't get that much money, plus I'm glad it's not like Club Penguin, where you need to purchase membership for literally anything :P

That's pretty much it though. At least out of the ones I can say without me feeling like an asshole for posting :P

but man I have a lot to say about pet peeves..

Yes, this actually happens.

I'm actually amazed that happened to you, since even the opinion that got me banned from the Unpopular Opinions thread wasn't immediately torched. It was questioned, yes, but I wasn't called an idiot or anything.

As for my own pet peeves, well, I don't really have any. The most annoying thing I can think of is when I want to post something that's been posted already in very nearly the exact wording I would use, or when there are sixty pages of posts and I can't be bothered to read all of them so I pretty much know my reply will have appeared before.

The signature size. I can see why it's only 600x100, but I couldn't think of anything fancy thanks to the limited image size.

Also, I feel peeved whenever I see two members talking about how much they love each other. We get it, both of you are in a relationship, whoop de doo. Now could you stop shoving your love down our throats with every stinking chance you get?

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

My main MLP Forums pet peeve is when people feel the need to don their armor and go into a full-out internet battle instead of acting like adults and finding a civil resolution to the situation. The staff's life would be much easier if people would make better choices.

The size limits also annoy me. I've thought about increasing them but that's not something I can do without a group decision, and some other admins have concerns about raising the limit.

Well what's the concern?  :L

Pages becoming cluttered, unwieldy, or taking too long to load. Even small increases in size limits can add up once everyone starts upping their stuff.

But I really think we could increase it a bit so it's not so ridiculously small. At the very least I think we could try it out and revert it back to the old standards if people started complaining about it.

Speedposting in CTAM

I have no problem when there is much activity our the pace is faster, but when ONE User makes TEN posts in UNDER ONE MINUTE trough a proramm, then it's way too much for me

I understand we all want that million. duh. But we don't need to destroy the fun and talk with posting 50 posts in less then 5 minutes >_>

Spam is spam even in the forum games, if to a lesser extent. Don't hesitate to report people who make an ass of themselves.

So long as the location of such conversation sticks to being via news feed comments/status updates, or on their profile page, or in a thread relevant to the subject of relationships, people have every right to do that.  Unless they are posting such things in a thread that has nothing to do with relationships, they are doing nothing wrong, and are not "shoving" anything down anyone's throat.

Hmmm, what is a pet peeve of mine here...

Well, this may be something that someone has stated before, I don't know, so if that's the case, I apologize for the redundancy.

I wish there was some kind of auto-save fail-safe feature in the text fields (for posts and such), so that if you accidentally hit a link, or hit back, that a pop-up would come up and say "You have not submitted your post, are you sure you want to leave this page?" with a button *Stay* and a button *Leave*...

Too often I've written something long, paused for a moment to check another tab or skype, then come back to the text field I was writing in to see a typo where I'd last written - so I press backspace... but forgot to make sure the cursor was selected inside the text field.  Gosh dang that sucks.  To lose everything you'd been typing on for a while (and lol, y'all know me - I've got some pretty hefty posts behind my belt).

But all in all, that's probably the only big pet peeve I have here.

I was more referring to people shoving their relationships outside of the places you've mentioned.

And coming from somebody who isn't interested in relationships, I personally find it forceful. I know not everybody is like me, but it feels as if their constant gushing makes me feel that people expect me to be in one.

Permabans: it sucks we can't access to permabanned members' profile or contact them.

And I don't think permaban is a good idea in general (except for trolls of course).

Ohohoho. A topic I can actually contribute to.

Hmmm... Where should I start? So many things. All the people who think posting in Comic Sans makes them look kawaii and unique. No. Just no. Even worse are COLOURED comic sans posts.

COLOURED COMIC SANS IS TACKIER THAN CROCS AND KNEE HIGH SOCKS. <---- Just LOOK at that. It's HORRID.

Another thing - those ridiculous status updates everyone seems to be making. Sure, statuses might be cool and all, but I DO NOT need a notification every three minutes just because you thought it was a great idea to share that you were about to go to bed.

The entirety of the everfree forest section. I really don't care which female fictional character you have a scarily real crush on this week. Nor do I think it's healthy to promote whatever hallucinations that supposedly make up your 'tulpae'. If you are hallucinating fluttershy or something else into existence, GET HELP. I cannot stress this enough. There is NOTHING safe, or fun about mental illness, and you are only going to regret it, or make your loved ones regret it in the long run.

There is also so little actual content in this section that I feel like i've walked into a rowdy primary school classroom. You're adults, or soon to be adults. Just cause MLP was originally aimed at mentally immature ten year old girls doesn't mean you have to act like it to post here.

I'm sure there's other stuff, but I can't be bothered type any more at this hour of night.
