Your dream home

~Sugar Sprinkles~

My ideal home is a secure self-sufficient underground complex that uses fiber optic lighting to funnel in light from the surface like this. Solar panels to generate electricity, security systems, control panels on walls, and technologically advanced! and of course Architecterally sound (most underground homes should be very well built after all.)

As for where to place one? heck if i know but i know it has to be in a suitable envornment without much topographical change for a few centuries, under those conditions undergrounds home (I believe) can last the longest! They are also energy efficient and dont need as much energy for heating/cooling as surface homes do! ... but enough of my rambling, do look up the benefits of underground homes wikipedia

Of course whole home speaker system is a must too :P maybe an SI (Synthetic Intelligence) or AI (Artificial Intellgence) to manage things too! :squee: . A garden ... above or underground would work because of the fiber optic lighting! and a modest surface entrance like so

*raises hoof* Can I apply for a Hobbit Hole?

Okay... perhaps not (but I want it anyway).

I'd want a colorful house that I could paint all over and make really unique!

Something like this:

With colorful, artistic rooms like this:

Please and thank you.  :D

I never thought of the location, however. Either Canada or Norway. I love them both.  :)

Simple enough, really.

I'd have some kind of huge house. It has a simple, but big garage, multiple rooms with Televisions and Couches, a master bedroom, of course with a TV and a private bathroom. Multiple guest rooms with private bathrooms, several other bathrooms around the house, (lol I know, i'll stop.) a kitchen with a large storage area, a simple dining room with a TV, a Lounge of some sort with Pool Tables, Card tables, a Bar area, and a TV. A huge-ass gaming room with multiple consoles, one huge Television, and the best computer I could find.

The yards would be simple. The front would be the Driveway and a Garden of some sort. The backyard would have an in-ground swimming pool, a Deck, and a really cool area where you can sit back and view the ocean.

I know, it's a bit greedy to think about it, but it would be the greatest luxury anyone could ever have.

gonna take you out

I'd have a Big house with fish pond in front of the house and Swimming Pool Behind the house. There's a spacious Garden filled with colorful and beautiful flowers. In the house, There's a large Aquarium in the special room. And also, there are Studio room, Luxurious Bedroom and Bathroom, Gaming room, Large balcony, and more awesome things.  :D

Most people would want something big and over the top, and understandably so. My dream house would be a small cabin on the side of a mountain. Preferably the east side since that's where the sun comes up. And that's pretty much it. Small cabin. I mean, it needs to be well insulated and I would need the basic survival skills it takes to live in the mountains off-grid, but I think that kind of life would be less stressful than the kind of fast paced lives we live today. Personally, I'd love to be better able to get in touch with nature and learn to live off the land.

But since I know I don't have the skills to live some place like that, my second ultimate dream home would just be a regular house sitting on an acre or two of land with a small shed in the backyard. I'd like to have a large storm cellar with lots of exits though. Tornadoes are common in Oklahoma and if one hits, I don't want to be entirely uncomfortable while I'm toughing it out. And the exits? That's in case one gets blocked, I still have a way to get out. Even invite a few others over to use some spare cots or even throw some blankets on the floor so they have some shelter (in case they don't have any).

My dream house would just be a normal house that would be well fit for a family if I ever have one and contain just the necessities and my few possessions that I have. Although, I'd want secret rooms in my house just cuz I can.

A big, wide 1-story home located in the countryside, with easy access to the highway and a farmer's market. It'd have to have a lot of windows and a sizeable open space somewhere in the middle, where sunlight can shine in and still be hidden from the outside. Maybe a little pond in a corner, and cobblestone corner for songbird's nest. The drainage system should be big enough to handle three days of nonstop downpour, and with a large water tank on the northwest. My mother's room should be near the open space, and mine right at the front of the house.

And let's not forget a huge wifi modem and a booster at the living room :P

I feel like my "ultimate dream house" would be a home that I share with ...  Then we could hug all the time :)

And I'd like to live somewhere pretty :)

I second that :squee:. Somewhere pretty indeed like near the mountains, or isolated from everyone else in a forest!....

I'm thinking of the house in the game "Slenderman: The Arrival", minus the haunted acts .

Just a small, cozy, afordable apartment with no lawn to mow and little maintenance required. I've essentially been turned off of big homes and lawns.

Dream house? Why, I'm already living in it! :please:

Well, okay, maybe not..  :P  But there's so many things I think I'd like out of a home that I've honestly no idea what kind of place I'd want.. If I had to choose based on location though, I'd go for something remote and peaceful, like a lodge, that you can just sit out on the lawn (or giant field!) and watch the clouds go by... Bliss!

Ireland is a nice place though, for what it gives you. A generally more laid back and slower pace of living. Its a bit more backwater then most places, specific things can be hard to come by outside of the capital, there's a bit of a drinking issue, but on the whole if your looking for a nice retreat I think it's got what you need, especially out in its more rural country areas.

Sounds so lovely! :Daydreaming:

I really have no desire to own a home actually, want a garage that's it preferably in a desert in Texas for the simple reason it being a desert. Somewhere far away from civilization, I've thought about simply living in a simple log cabin out in the wilderness.

The movie into the wild is why I want to live out in the wilderness, society is a prison, you think you have to want more then you need and until you have it all you won't be free. Why anyone goes into debt to buy expensive nothings you don't actually need, I value my freedom and independence far more. Keep a rifle, shotgun and a bow, a fishing pole and you'll have enough food to survive, live of the land as our ancestors did that's my dream home to live in the wild.

My dream house would be on a rural road close enough to a big city that it's not in the middle of nowhere, but far enough out that it's quiet. Being close to a post office is a big plus. Somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains would be perfect, maybe Pennsylvania since summers are milder there. I could also stay in Virginia. I'd want three bedrooms (two would be used for work), all the other standard rooms, and a sunroom. I wouldn't want to go overboard on the size; I think about 1,500 square feet would be the sweet spot for me. Large enough for my work and everything I'd want to store, but not so large that it's a pain to keep clean by myself. A fair sized yard would be nice, preferably one that's easy to mow. Definitely no larger than an acre, unless a forest takes up part of the land, since that doesn't need maintenance. A connected two-car garage would also be nice, giving me plenty of room for motorcycles (and a car, on the rare occasion I'd need to drive one of those clumsy things). Somewhere secure for the mailman to leave packages is a must, too. I could make a giant mailbox that locks when something is put in.

Mine's an unrealistic pipe dream lol, but if I were to explain what I'd love...

I want a largish house that combines the elements of a cozy cabin, and a modern home with the latest appliances. The house is far away from people with no neighbours to be seen, but the city is also readily available should I want to go there for a day. There is a balcony area with a scenic view, and the house is on top of the grassy hillside. Also, it has the things seen in rich houses, like a fireplace and a bath spa, as well as an extra bedroom to convert into a gaming room

I guess since the last time I posted on here, I didn't really think of living in a house one day instead of an apartment.  One of these days, I would love to have my own homestead, if I could.  So I might as well extend on what I initially posted on here to fit my current vision?  Or at least current thoughts compared to last time I posted in here...

I'd like a second story home, two bedrooms and a room that can function as a sewing room, all of this will be on the second floor.  For the first floor, I still would love an open concept for the kitchen/dining/living room along with a decent sized pantry where I can have a few of my cooking tools in, like my dehydrator, potential bread maker, kinda like what my mom was planning for in her house that she was planning(I think she might've built it already since it has been a few years since then idk??).  Since I want a large garden and some fruit trees potentially, using the dehydrator will be helpful in ensuring my produce my garden produces will last longer.  I'd also like a library area on the first floor, maybe make it kind of wizard-like and have a few constellations painted on the ceiling idk, just think it would be neat to have a space dedicated to my books?

I still would like a two car garage, so I can dedicate one side of the garage to crafts.  As for the foundation, where I hope to be able to build my home is kinda swampy and gets wet a lot so a slab foundation might not be as possible as I thought but just as long as the crawl space is properly reinforced, it would help with my worries of falling through the floor if I were to, say, do a workout video in the living room area since I stopped doing videos in the apartment where I lived with my mom before I moved out since the floor felt like it was going to give out at any moment with how bouncy it felt.  Maybe just my paranoia but idk...  I would like a specific room where I game in on the first floor too, just somewhere where I can put my gaming pc in without it being in my bedroom and also maybe a place where I can build a new one if the need arises which it probably will.

As for the garden, depending on how big the plot is that I potentially get in the future, I want space for chickens, fruit/nut trees and any veggies/ fruiting bushes or grape vines I want to grow.  One day, I would love to be able to sell food on reserve since a lot of people don't have the means to always go into town and get food.  The current pandemic seems to have reinforced my want for a homestead over there.  If I have a big enough plot of land, I could easily sell chicken eggs or whatever too.  Some fruit and nut trees that I would love to plant are hazelnuts, pawpaws, cherries, apples and possibly something else idk, just want to plant stuff that I know are indigenous in the climate that I live in.  I would also love to tr ybeekeeping but I think that might be too much work on my end lol, especially if I do this all by myself.  Any remaining yard that's open will probably be left alone and I definitely don't want to revert any remaining yardage to grass since I think a grass yard is a waste of resources.
