Favorite Species of Pony and Why?

Pegasus cause I'm overly obsessed with wings and flying one time my friends and I were boared so one said I'm going to list things different about you f1uttershy your overly obsessed with wings and flying :3

I'd probably rather be a Pegasus. Magic's cool and all, but it's unpredictable. What if your best magical talent consists of making spots appear on walls? Unless I was guaranteed TS level magic, flight would be much better.

I would love to be a Pegasus. Being able to fly around would be so much more amazing than walking. Plus I've always loved running so I guess Flying would add to that.

Unicorn or Earth Pony. If you practice your magic enough, you're life becomes SO much easier. Whereas for the pegasus... I'm afraid of falling rather than flying so...

Would be a alicorn, but limitations there are so I will have to settle for Pegasus (Unicorn being second).

 

I do have a fear of heights over 30 stories (How I know? No idea), but I still believe as a Pegasus I can overcome that. I love to go fast, I also think that speed is a great thing to have. Magic does help, but you will keep more control with your mind, so since I have a spontaneous mind set of many ideas will cause most of my spells to go awry.

Optimally, I'd be an Alicorn. But if I had to pick between the 3 main species, I'd probably go with Pegasus, unless there was a way to give yourself wings with magic. And better ones than the ones Rarity had in Sonic Rainboom.

Applejack, in the latest episode, is able to stop a carriage traveling at extremely fast speed with multiple ponies inside. That's got to be at least several thousand pounds worth of force that she stopped dead in its tracks. That. Is. Just. Amazing.

 

If all earth ponies could do that, than sign me up.

Possibly, but I still think that only an earth pony could accomplish such a feat. Otherwise, it would just be unfair.

There is, in fact, a spell that creates wings. Twilight Sparkle uses it in episode 16 of season 1, Sonic Rainboom.

As much as flying sounds like a lot of fun, realistically I think it would completely freak me out. ^^" I'd be like Fluttershy, more comfortable on the ground. So I'd be a unicorn, because it would be awesome to be able to move things around with magic, especially with marshmallows hooves instead of hands.

Not necessarily; despite the fact that Twilight is the most magically gifted unicorn that we've seen that spell was still extremely taxing on her. I don't know that a run of the mill unicorn would be able to pull it off on themselves.
