In the next episode, we will see that Twilight will need help getting used to her castle feeling more like "home" like her old brown wood library was! Whatever this means, but let's review a couple of things here.

 

1. Her castle has no guards, servents, workers, upkeepers or any of that stuff.

2. Her castle ....Might?, not have a dungeon?

 

So, we can see from every fantasy tale ever told, that any king, queen, princess or whatever that has ever ruled anything that had subjects and people under their rule, that they had guards and a staff.

 

When do you think we are going to see Twilight finally acting like Celestia, Luna and Cadence whom is even the princess of LOVE have guards around? Or staff to maintain that gigantic place for her?

 

Also, every castle needs and HAS a dungeon! That is the unforsakable LAW of castles! Do you ever think we will be able to see twilights dungeon? We know it has one! Also, will she ever actually put a pony or anypony else in there? Will we ever get to hear "THROW THEM INTO THE DUNGEON!" come out of her mouth?

 

 

Should she use her guards to gather up everypony in town and then tell them to throw everypony into the dungeon, just so that when they get their they find out they have been hood winked into being invited to a Castle Dungeon party!

I just wanna know why she had a castle in the first place. yeah, she's royalty now, but, what's who rule over? Ponyville? a measly backwater town? When Cadance rules over an empire, and Celestia and Luna rule over the entire country? Ok. Twilight rules over a small town.

I don't think she's ever actually been referred to as the Princess of Ponyville, just the Princess of Freindship. Despite the final episode of Season 4 being called "Twilights Kingdom" I don't think she does actually rule over Ponyville, or at least chooses not to, it's not like we see her dealing with any associated political jumbo ruling over a land would surely bring. I think its more she has authority over anything relating to Friendship, the castle's map seems to suggest this at least.

 

Seeing as Celestia is still the ruler of Equestria as a whole, I'd only assume that she technically still has reign over any of Ponyville's domestic policies. Why would she just delegate part of her authority just because Twilight became an alicorn and happens to live in Ponyville? She still has far more experience then her.

Besides. Who needs guards, when they have Maud as Pinkie Pie's sister to come back at any time for a "visit" But anyways, Twlight rules over something biggerthen what is seen. Friendship in general. Which as the show states, is the most powerful magic there is.

That's an interesting question; though unlike Twilight's castle in Ponyville, Canterlot and the Crystal Empire have been around for a LONG time and have had guards & traditions as such for that length of time.

 

Twilight only just got her castle; it might be a while before she gets guards, IF she even wants them.

Well said, Nature's Spell! Also, as a castle, it's very small. It's outwardly not very much bigger than the tree library.

(As with the library though, the interior may be an entirely different matter!)

I think it's more a symbol than an actual CASTLE castle.

Thanks for bringing that up. "Kingdom" can be referred to in a more allegorical sense; similar to "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country" in which the 'undiscovered country' wasn't referring to a physical place.

 

I can appreciate such uses of words in MLP.

I still think it would be very interesting to see Twilight delegate duties and orders to soldier horses. Plus, FRIENDSHIP DUNGEON!

 

I would wonder how it would look? Maybe like the rest of the castle or like a typical cartoon dungeon, torture dungeon, or more like a modern prison maybe?

 

What do you think it would look like? You think there is a whole labyrinth underneath with cells enough to hold like 100 ponies or something?

I doubt that S5 will expand upon it. Her castle to my knowledge has only been shown three times, the S4 finale, Rainbow Rocks, and S5 premiere. (Probably stupid logic considering S5 E3 airs saturday.) But the focus seems to be more of a knights of the round table motif rather than the good ole random story plots from S1 and S2.

I actually don't think there would be an underground dungeon. I think the space will be used for Twilight's laboratory. She had one under the library. You could see the roots poking through the ceiling. Why wouldn't she want one under her new home as well?

But the point is: Since Twilight Sparkle is already became a Princess and has been crowned...Looks like Twilight might be getting guards, servants and workers for her castle home after all..Just like Celestia, Luna and Princess Cadance, TWILIGHT should follow their footsteps by now.
