What do your siblings think of your brony-hood?

My older brother is too busy with his own pursuits to really mind it a whole lot. He knows I love the show, but he doesn't much care. My younger brother is the same way except he's the one that told everyone else that I watch the show.

 

Bah. With friends and family alike, the show is not of interest to anyone I socialize with, nor do they care that I like it.

Actually I do have three half brothers, two half sisters, and one step sister, but none of them live with me and I couldn't care less what they think of my personal obsessions.

All three of my siblings know by this point, with varied degrees of reception between them. My older sister doesn't really care and hasn't brought it up since the day she found out, my little brother also doesn't bring it up but he still thinks it's stupid and that I'm wierd (which is generally his response to everything involving me) and my other brother has given the show a chance and watched the first season and a few episodes of the second but doesn't care much for the fandom. Other than that, he only ever brings it up to try and embarass me around others.

None of them really care. They used to think it was weird, and they refuse to watch the show, but I'm grateful they aren't dicks about it.

My brother was the first person I told about the show, and while he hasn't admitted it I think he likes the show a bit too! I don't want to tell my sister though- besides, she doesn't have to know. They're both older than me btw.

I have an 8 year old brother who has no idea what a brony is, nor has he actually seen the show

 

He has, however, yelled in disgust after catching a glimpse of something pony related on my screen... I just kinda gave him a mean look and he walked away (He has a bad habit of just bursting into my room and yelling at me about inane things)

 

He has also expressed his disapproval at the commercial for Pinkie Pie's trainset on TV...

 

All of this is normal though, because he's 8 years old and hates anything pink like every other male child his age

 

So how are you supposed to answer the question if you don't have siblings?

Well the show hasn't really caught onto any of my siblings or my mom (siblings are 16M 18F & 22F), but they have all watched at least 5 episodes. My Dad is shocked and disgusted and has disowned me as his son. Never liked him anyways. Heh.

I don't know if my brother knows or not. His wife knows though, and I think she either a.) doesn't think I'm serious about it or b.) thinks its just another one of the weird things I do. I have a weird relationship with them though. I have made my nephew watch it though, he likes it (though only being 3 months old, he is more into the colors than anything it seems).

My younger sister wasn't surprised by my love for FiM, because she knows I like other cute shows (like Kai-Lan, even though the pacing in there is terrible lol). But now she sees herself as more mature, since she's "too old" for ponies (her words, and no she's never watched FiM).
