New CMC Voice Actors

Do you guys think it's time for the CMC to get new vouce actors? Well I do actually! I mean, Sweetie Belle isn't cute and squeaky anymore, Scootaloo's is trying too hard and Apple Bloom's isn't even country.

 

If they do that, then they must find a perfect match for Scootaloo at age 13, AB & SB at age 9 just like the new Moana movie coming out in 2016.

 

Any thoughts on that, you guys?

Also, Scoots is voiced by an adult now so any changes to her are likely going to be directed ones, not vocally required.

You know, since this show has continuity and progression, I'm kind of curious as to whether or not we'll ever see the CMC grow up. If they do that, they can probably keep the same voice actors since they're already teens anyways and getting older with every season. I'm sure they could pull off some decent "grown up" voices if they wanted to.

I think the current VAs should stay on, because I really like how their voices grow with their characters. So yes, they sound older because they are.

Ugh, this again?  :scoots:  . The CMCs Don't need to change their VAs, the show has a progressive run, and their VAs growing up their voices fits perfectly with the tone. I wouldn't be surprised if we seen them as teens someday

I don't understand what's wrong with their voices, I think they still fit perfectly. It just shows that the voice actors, while getting older, can still give them perfect voices like the ones they have now.

No, I really don't think DHX should switch voice actors. They're good the way they are and should stay. The show is progressing and changing as it goes along and with it we see the characters change with it. With this change we're seeing the characters, such as the CMC, grow, change and progress with their Voice Actors. Crusaders of the Lost Mark especially showed that the Crusaders and other characters like Diamond Tiara are growing up. The show has been shattering the status quo throughout its run.It's been making changes and there's no going back from them and honestly I like the fact that they're changing the show as it's going. If you want the show to stay as good, fun and interesting as it is then there needs to be changes throughout the run, otherwise the show would have gone stagnant and boring a long time ago. Things can't stay the same forever.

No reason to replace them at all. Scootaloo's voice has changed negligibly through the series, and Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle have done a fairly good job at staying consistent.

 

Keep in mind, sometimes the actors change voices of their characters even when it's not adolescence doing it for them. Applejack's voice has changed more than Apple Bloom's even though Ashleigh Ball is fully grown.

We have 4 more seasons after season 5 (4 more years)...that's 9 years in total. I think it would be clever for the designers to make the appearance of the CMC just a tad different.

puberty, aka, voice changing as they get older. Scoot's va doesn't have to worry about this, only if the director wants something different. So, in other words, if her voice has changed, the director wanted it changed.

I believe it would be pretty expensive to renegotiate contracts and find suitable replacements for the spots just to make them sound better. Beside that, it would piss off a lot of dedicated fans.
