Favorite villain/antagonist so far?

Who was your favorite villain so far from the MLP:FiM Franchise? What makes them your favorite? Mine is Discord, because he has amazing power, yet he only uses it to amuse himself. Reality doesn't apply to him at all, he just does what he wants.

I agree. Discord is my favorite as well. Queen Chrysalis is very close though. I hope they both come back.

I don't know. I like Discord's personality, but the Changelings look really cool. Nightmare Moon is also pretty sweet.

I like Discord, he is original and unique, but I think Chrysalis is my favorite. just everything about her says evil, and she is just a rotten to the core character, And I love that in the villains. Plus I love her eyes. To me though, she is the first truly "Evil" villain in the show. NNM just wanted revenge due to jealousy and Discord wanted self amusement by creating chaos. Chrysalis wanted to conquer Equestria and feed off it's citizens. Oh and deceive everypony as she fed on Shining Armour of course.

Hard choice. Chrysalis is the most badass looking so she gets major points, yet Discord seems to have better character developement. Plus, he's just downright wierd IMO . I'll go with the creepier one

Nightmare Moon, could be up there if her character and story was fleshed out a little more and we saw the change, instead of just being told it in the storybook beginning.

 

Chrysalis is a babe, not going to lie. I think it's the hair and eyes.

If this is the case, then Trixie, Gilda, and Diamond Tiara should be added too. They're considered more as antagonists, not so much villains.

Discord can do anything he wants, but he only screws around with everything for fun, not for any real purpose.

I liked the changelings the best. They were all so freaky and clearly evil. With Discord there was humor which made him fun but as an evil villain I would pick The Queen. Also, the way she was through the song she sang was brilliant and really showed off her evilness.

 

Plus something about the holes in her legs really freaked me out.

For numerous reasons, mainly the fact that he creates cotton candy clouds and chocolate rain. Also, he just doesn't give a damn about anything. It was the fact that he had the power to destroy everything and everyone with a click of his fingers but instead he used his power to spread chaos and mischief that really signified something special. I mean, anyone can plot to take over the world or Equestria but it takes some serious balls to just stroll into an area and tear it up without a plan.

Nightmare Moon was sloppy and desperate. Becoming a villain because your butt-hurt doesn't look good on anypony. (Though I do admit, she looked amazing!)

 

Chrysalis was very strong (I mean, she even knocked Celestia on her ass.) not to mention she had an army. All of them with the power to BE anypony. But, their powers are limited even still and they also NEED to feed to be strong.

 

Discord...you see, he can do just just about anything with merely a thought. ANYTHING! Discord is best villain.

Lets see, Discord is the omnipotent god of disharmony, his power is almost infinite, and he loves to troll. Yes, he is not downright evil, he is just mischievous. I still remember his line "You wouldn't know that because I don't turn ponies to stone", wich clearly hinted that he didn't mean any harm, but just to have fun.

 

The Queen of the Changelings (I've watched the finale three times and I've still haven't heard them call her Chrysalis once, is that a fan name?) is more eviler. But in what sense, when you are doing things for the well being of your own species, can you be evil? She had a pretty good plan too, (and knew quite a lot of how the Equestrian society worked for an insect) and was meaner to ponies, but she was not nearly as powerful as Discord.

 

Up to now I though that Nightmare Moon suffered horrible torture being in the moon, but now it's confirmed she still lives there during the day. Well, it's still torture I think, but she still acted very stupid so I don't like her.

 

Discord is has to be.

Tie between Discord and Chrysalis for me, Discord because he is essentially Sheogorath within Equestria, and Chrysalis because the idea behind her was interesting and I feel she was not truly a villain. I mean, does trying to feed your people make you an all out villain?

 

Also I've always been a fan of villains, so in my opinion LOVE ALL THE VILLAINS!

 

Also, Chrysalis' voice is attractive...
