People say that minions are one of the worst and most annoying animated characters ever created. I have to disagree. I think they look cute and sound funny. Actually, the Minions movie wasn't even that bad. I even have a minion onsie that I wore for Halloween this year. Am I the only one who likes these guys?

I don't think they're funny but I have zero problems with them. Even the movie was decent and seeing people whine about the merchandising is kinda fun.

No, plenty of people enjoyed it too, I know my older brother loved it. The majority of people who hate the movie probably haven't even seen it and just hate them because their publisher love to market them

I think I stand neutral on them, if not a little below that.

It doesn't necessarily have to do with being annoying. It's more-so that I'm seeing them literally everywhere now for marketing and I could do better without seeing one of them in my face every time I breathe.

I don't hate Minions, i just don't like how they're everywhere. I mean, they're cute and all but did they really need a feature length film about them? Nobody asked for it. Plus Gru's only in for like two minutes. What the hell?

I'm not particularly amused by them myself. However, I am not really annoyed by them either. Like, while everyone else was complaining about Minions being everywhere, I didn't really even care. They don't bother me.

I don't dislike them it's just, they got extremely boring after two movies. They ALL had the same personality.

I also don't like how whenever I go to a shop now SOMETHING has a Minion on it, for marketing.

They were funny in Despicable Me, but making an entire movie about them... I really have no interest in some thing like that. I still want to get around to watching Despicable Me 2 sometime.

I personally love the minions. Are they over merchandised? yes. But so is Star Wars, Frozen, etc. Too many people treat it like it's an isolated case when it really isn't.

 

As long as they keep it at just the two Despicable Me's and the Minions Movie, I think it's fine. It's when they start making more films for the sake of making more films that it'll start get annoying.

 

But as I say, I find their humour to be very enjoyable.

Not at all. I absolutely loved the Minions movie. "Random" humor doesn't really appeal to me all that much, but the way the Minions use it gets me laughing a LOT.

 

Plus, excessive merchandising has never bothered me.

Of course not. Millions of people and their cats love them. To me though they're just not especially funny and I hated the way that they completely drowned out the movies they were barely in. All the promotion, art, dvd covers, etc for the despicable me films gave way to them despite the fact that they barely had anything to do with them. Also to me they were the poster child for all annoying, vague meme spam I constantly had to filter through my facebook feed a couple of months ago.
