summer noticed that the mare that owned the tavern was super scared and since she couldn't discover anything she might aswell come to help calm her down, that was what she was good at after all, making ponies trust her and making them smile. 

 

with a little smile she approached the mare, as innocent and not treathening looking as possible "Miss, please, don't be scared, we really don't come to do anything to you, or to the tavern. we marely came to look if everything was fixed up after the terrible mess we left behind the last time. we still are very sorry about that and if there was still some things to be done or be repaired we wanted to help. we aren't badguys, really. all we wanted was to make sure everything was alright." she spoke friendly and calmly and hoped this would help.

Hoping to take advantege of the guards dull interest in doing the procedure correctly, Wolfcast played along on it. "Wolfcast Earnibble from Canterlot, Equestria. Entered earlier today for supplies and I'v not accuired attleast some to help me continue my journey." He said with a cracked voice, using his magic to levitate the one of the breads and one of the cloaks to show the guard. Hoping he would just look at them and not him.

As soon as Summer moved closer to the tavern keeper, cloaked pony stud up and walked upstairs, probably to its room. If Summer, or Indus were to look its table. They would find thet its meal was not quait finished and it walked away from midle of it.

 

By looks of it this deamon mare was not realy calmed much by Summer lines, but she sumoned some courage and said with still fear in her voice "Now thet you have seen evrything is fixed, y-you can leave."

 

 

 

Deamon guard thet was now stending in from of Flearia, looked at stuff Wolfcast levitataed, and after thet pulled an notebook and looked tru it. "Ah here it is. You are free to leave." After thet he crosed some thing in his notebook, probably Wolfcast's name, but as he done thet he continued to speak "Just it is said here, you entered in a group of outsiders. Were are they?" He was not wery interested in asking this, so maybie this was still question he needed to ask creature thet leave the town.

Indus glanced at the cloaked pony, catching them walking upstairs leaving their meal unfinished. Now that was rather suspicious.

 

"Ma'am, if I may," he spoke up to the bartender, "what can you tell us about that pony in the cloak? Are they another outsider?"

A drop of old sweat dripped from Wolfcast to the question. "M-my group? They are probably still doing their own tasks... we agreed to meet outside when done so..." he tryed to feingh a secure smile, making himself ready to calmly walk out the gate, not drawing mire attention to himself.

while proff spoke to the bartender summer decided to follow the cloaked pony upstairs, it was weird that he or she left it's meal halfway finished so without giving it a second thought she left Proff behind and went upstairs too, quickly so that she could maybe still see where the cloaked pony went, but she might already be too late and the pony had dissapeared in their room.

Tavern keeper looked in fear as both of hooligans ignore her request to leave her tavern, and insted one of them just gone upstair, probably to finish job they started couple of days ago.

 

"I-I dont know annything." She said, as tears started falling from her eyes "Please dont destroy this tavern.It is all I got!"

As tavern keeper started crying, five deamon ponys thet were drinking in the tavern, surrounded Indus and asked him in threatning voice "Do we have a problem here?"

 

As this was happening on frst flore, Summer walked to the second in hope of folowing cloaked pony. She did not seen much as cloaked pony entered it's room. But even so, Summer seen wich room it entered. How it was on Summer will she folow this cloaked pony into its room, or not.

 

 

 

 

Outside, deamon pony guard just wrote down something in his notebook and without anny aditionaal word started walking away from Wolfcast. By looks of it, Wolfcast was free to leave this village.

Indus was starting to get irritated by this mare's paranoia, but it didn't show. He had gotten enough training for that as a teacher.

 

He turned his head to see the demon pony behind him. "There's no trouble at all, sir. I only thought that after paying for the repairs to her wonderful establishment, this nice young mare could answer a few harmless questions for me."

Seeing the Deamon Pony move away to let him past, Wolfcast walked out casualy, tough when he had gotten a few hundred meters away, enough to be out of sight of the gate, he had what can only be described as a seziur! Collapsing on the side of the road!

 

Uppstair at the tavern Summer would feel a strange feeling on her back. Like if something suddenly had grown twice or thrice it's size on her back! Followed by two big paws on her head and a hard bite on her right ear!

summer knew which room the cloaked pony had entered and she was about to follow him but suddenly she felt something strange on her back and the next moment something was biting her ear "hey! what do you do?" she said to the magical being on her back, then she giggled "do you try to warn me? should I not folow the cloaked pony?"

"I do not think she is able to answer your question today." one of deamon ponys around Indus started "So if you dont mind, leave this 'wonderful establishment'."

As this deamon ponys defended tavern keeper, one could see sign of relife on her face.

 

 

Upstairs, Summer could hear couple rusteling from room thet cloaked pony entered. This cloaked pony was eather prepareing a trap for an uninvited quest or was colecting all it's thing and preparing to run.

 

 

 

Place were Flearia collapsed looked quait and isolated. So she probably did not need to wory for anny deamon pony to find her here.

Making a soundless bark, Irra looked at summer before rushing back down the stairs, not caring that she almost knocked down two of the Deamon Ponys surrounding Indus as she rund up to him, almost pounchin him as she tryed to get his attention before continueing out of the tavern.

 

Once out, she whent for the gate that Wolfcast had exited at not long ago.

When summer saw Irra run away she thought okay, nevermind cloak pony and folowed the magical being, she ran past Proff and did not take notice of the things going on in the tavern "I'll follow Irra, can you handle the situation here?" she asked, before dissapearing outside the door.

 

Once outside she had trouble folowing Irra since Irra was much faster as her. She could barely keep up with her but somehow managed to do so and folowed it towards the gate.

Inside the tavern, on the frst flore, an small thing pushed deamon ponys so it can reach Indus, but moments later it desapired outside.

 

"What was thet?" One of pushed Deamon pony's asked. "Probably this outside trying some of its tricks on us." Other one answered. Then, the one thet was talking before started with an irritated voice "If you want a brawl, youl get one if you dont leave immediatly."

 

 

 

On the other side, Summer left the second flore without investigating this cloaked pony. And by doing so, she probably made bigest mistake so far here. But non the matter, friends are more importents then annything other.

But as she was runing towered the gate, guards picked up there wepon's and quickly move into her way to block her. Unlike Wolfcast thet was trying to walk true the gate slowly and peacfuly, Summer was chaising some small thing with all her spead.

Couple guards pulled there bow's out and aimed at Summer, as two of the Guards with spears started going towered Summer, and as they were runing towered Summer they ignored the small creatre in the snow (Irra) and yelled towered the pony in front of em "Stop right there!!"

 

Also if Summer was to looked at her surounding, she would noticed cloaked pony jumping from one roof to the next, also runing away from the same tavern Summer just exited. It was carying lot of bright white wepon's on its back, so it was safe to say het when Summer heard rusteling, it was this cloaked pony preparing to run and not set a trap.

But unlike Summer, it was runing in the oposite direction of the gate.

When summer saw the deamon pony guards comming towards her, she chose the only direction that was safe, up. She spread her wings and flew away as fast as possible. Obviously she had seen the guard with the bow so she looked out for that. When she flew up she also saw the cloaked pony run away, over the roof, with weapons. Now she didn't know what to do anymore, she wished Proff was here so he could folow the cloaked pony and she could folow Irra, but he wasn't here so she had to make a decision.

 

Suddenly she got a great idea and flew higher, towards the clouds. There she used her weather pony abilities to shape the clouds into an arrow, pointing towards the direction Irra had run so that proff would hopefully see it and go that way to check it out, if there was something wrong with wolfcast, or flearia, then Irra was there and flearia was a strong pony so she could probably take care of herself for a little longer.

 

Summer herself changed directions and flew just above the clouds so that she couldn't be seen from the ground, she folowed the cloaked pony and hoped he or she hadn't seen her or knew that they were being folowed.

He excused himself and walked out of the inn, to have a look for whatever that was.

 

Such a hospitable community. No wonder the tourist trade here is skyrocketing.

Indus left the inn without learning annything new, it is a shame he did not come prepared for this...

 

 

Guards shased after Summer a litle, but onces she was behaind the clouds they gave up the case. But this did not gone with out consequences.

Guards were now fully awake and ready for annything. All the Guards with the bow's were ready to fire at moment notice at annything and annyone, on ground guards were much more observent and will probably take anny suspisous itmen from anny pony thet is preparing to leave or enter the city.

 

 

Also the guards thet originaly started to chase Summer, probably noticed the arow she made....

 

 

 

 

Cloaked pony thet Summer chased quickly left the town, it used the diversion thet Summer made on the oposit side of the city to leave. It quickly moved from an rof to rof and finaly jumped down in to the soft white snow. After moving away from the city and into the forest, cloak pony slowed down and cheked it's wepons. Probably to see if it left something back in the tavern. And moments after it contineu to move deeper into the east forest.

As the big spectral looking wolf that was Irra rushed towards the gate she saw Summer flyung past her, drawing some of the attention of the guards while she made a big arrow in the clouds. Irra used the distraction to her advantage and changed shape into a phenix. Taking of into the skies too. Trying to take cover in the thick snow clouds while still aiming for the same place, the place she had feelt the connection re-established from!

Indus left the inn without learning annything new, it is a shame he did not come prepared for this...

 

Indus growled under his breath at how little information he could get from the locals. They had no interest in giving him the light of day.

 

And then he realised something. Inside his jacket pocket was the vial of invisibility potion. Perhaps he could salvage this.

 

Wasting no more time, he ducked behind a corner  where nopony could see him, and drank the potion. He became invisible in an instant.

 

He slunk back to the inn and slipped inside, in attempt to hear some gossip. Perhaps over the newcomer, or Jacky. If he could find where their rooms were...

when the cloaked pony had entered the forest, summer came down from the clouds and flew lower, hoping that he wouldn't see her. quietly she flew closer and stayed almost directly above the pony she had been folowing. she made use of an old and wellknown trick, that onpony ever looks up while searching for something, so as long as this pony also listened to that rule, summer should be safe and out of sight.

Indus tok the invisibility potion and gone back into the tavern, by looks of it he realy did not had anny plan of action and was heavily improvising.

 

He listen frst listen to conversasion about him, and then he seen tavern keeper apologize to this group for all the trouble Indus made to them. He listen to litle more of there conversation, but realy there was not much of usefull information he could get from couple of drunk deamon's.

But in there conversation came up cloaked pony, and how un usual it was, they also mention place of its room upstairs.

Also in there conversation came an strange pony with fire red hair, she was here couple of hours ago. She picked up couple of stuf, mainly oil for her lantern, and left the city on the south gate. They said there was a big castel a day walk in thet way.

 

 

 

 

Cloaked pony walked for a litle big more before stoped and looked around for one lest time. Probably to see if annyone is around as he was sure no one folowed him. And after he made sure he is alone he made an small camp. This looked like a normal camp, for ths cold snowy day. But after he set up the tent and placed all its wepons in it, he proceed to light up an fire in the midle of it's camp. But unlike normal red fire, this cloaked pony made an silvery fire. And after couple moments after he started to talk to it.

But Summer was litle too far to hear it's voice so if she wished to hear what this strange pony was telling to he fire, she would have to get closer and risk gdting found out.

summer saw that the cloaked pony had come to a stop and had made a camp good, that means that he's gonna stay here for a while  she thought. then she saw him making a weird fire and talking to it. she shook her head, this wasn't normal, but nothing here was. if she was quick she could maybe find the others too and then they could maybe folow him together. 

 

as quickly as she could she flew back to the town, flew over it to see if she saw Proff somewhere, but when she didn't she coninued on the direction she remembered Irra going. she hoped that the guards didn't spot her again and flew high over the town, when she had passed it she flew a bit lower again and circled around to try and find Flearia.

Having the luck of not getting detected by the  Deamon Pony's guarding the gate, Irra continued on her way towards where she feelt her companion was last senced.

 

After a bit of flying she didn't feel her, but saw her laying on the side of the road. As she flew down she found that she had fallen uncouncious! And was now covered in a thin layer of snow.

 

As she landed, Irra turned back into her wolf shape seemingly covered her own body over Fleaia's to get her warm. Looking like Flearia was wearing a Irra wolf form suit. Once Flearia was warm again Irra moved beneth her and put her on her back. Carrying her forward on the road, trying to find a safe place for her to regain concious.

Indus didn't feel comfortable improvising--he was always so calculated and had a plan. Winging it like this was far too dangerous.

 

However, this time it seemed to have paid off, as he learned of the cloaked pony's room number, as well as something about a red-haired mare leaving by the south gate.

 

He'd have to investigate this castle later--for now, he crept upstairs to the rooms and located the cloaked pony's residence. He teleported himself inside, knowing the potion would still be in effect after reappearing in the room.

 

Now he could search for some clues...

Summer left strange cloaked pony, without even trying to listen what, or more importently with who, it was talking to.

 

 

Irra and Flearia were out in the snow in midle of the forest, it was not wery easy to find a safe place out here, but luvly there was a cave near by, so maybie, if it was empty, it could be perfect place to wait for Flearia to awake again.

 

 

 

Back inside the tavern, Indus found his way to cloaked pony's room. There was no one in the room, and the window was open. This cloaked pony probably escaped true it some were. It was safe to say, Inuds had all the time in the world to investigate and look for clues.

But there was not much he could find here, cloaked pony, by looks of it, tok this room not long ago so room was still clean. And onli strange thing he could find were lot of blank white paper scatered around the room. He probably left in a hury when he left so many of them.

But interstingly inaf, if he looked litle more, he would find an strange box of matches, with onli two matches. One black and one white one. Probably best thing to do with this strange matches would be to show them to Flearia and Summer before doing annything with mire with them.
