Loved her in the season 5 premiere, loved her in the finale, loved her in this premiere. I didn't really want her to come back to Sunburst, but it was done right and I'm actually happy for them. I hope we get to see more of her op abilities and manipulative tendencies, she wasn't "evil" but I'd like it if they keep some of her old habits. So far she's still an awesome character.

I liked Starlight before it was cool to like her!

I don't know how true that is, but I absolutely loved her in the season 5 premier. Unlike other villains who would try winning with just pure strength, Starlight could convince people to follow her and her ideologies. She couldn't be defeated by just some pony simply being 'better' than her, but they had to outwit and outsmart her. (Which I guess didn't really happen as much as they just found a secret and exposed it, but you know)

Of course the season finale wasn't well liked, but people seem to just miss the points of how powerful of a unicorn she was. She was able to do so much that I'm sure most unicorns wouldn't ever be able to do, and her skills weren't even taught to her directly from Celestia as Twilight, Sunset, and I guess Sunburst were. She was a self taught unicorn who could alter Starswirls spells in ways that he himself couldn't!

The season 6 premier showed us a bit more of her normal personality, to which I adored! Of course she does seem like the pony variant of Sunset, but I love Sunset just the same way. (Maybe something with reformed villains) I loved how Starlight had tried to stall and get away with trying to meet her childhood friend again, and how she tried to hide her pas from him to make a good impression. It's such a extreme human thing to do and incredibly relatable! Starlight may be the most relatable pony from the show, and I love her.

Her design is also just super adorable! I love her new mane look.

She was amazing before, and she is still amazing after it.

I seriously like her character the more i see it... probably the best in the entire show together with twily.

I say that I liked her less before purely because of how "The Cutie Re-Mark" botched her reformation, by crowding it out with those AU scenarios. It glanced over her reconciliation with both her former subjects in Our Town and with the Mane 6 by reducing it to a single song sequence. Because of that, I found it hard to get used to this complete character 180 by the beginning of the premiere. It almost seems like many events of her reformation were skipped to fast-forward to the events of "The Crystalling". That said, she was great in "The Cutie Map" because of her unconventional methods and motivations as well as the cultural references her town brought to mind. It was a new way of portraying the individuality vs conformity debate that few other shows would think of.

My view of her turned more favorable, despite the fact that little of her backstory had changed, because of how genuine her interactions with Sunburst seemed, as well as how Sunburst himself is a similarly awkward character with some baggage of his own. They really showed that being honest is a great test of friendship, and gave Starlight a supporting cast of her own in Sunburst and Spike. Haber wrote a much better script in this episode that balances the density of events rather than having one crowd out the other like in the S5 finale. Overall, I hope MLP goes further with its supporting and new characters this season.

I really liked her last season, I still like her but I fear her character is getting too close to Twilight's. Than again, I've only had 2 episodes to base that opinion on, only time will tell.

I didn't really like her before the Season 6 premiere. She was great as a villain, but she always seemed to unsettle me. I guess the underlying theme of "when will Starlight return?" kinda got to me throughout the entire season, and of course her stalking Twi and company in Amending Fences only made me even more edgy. I guess that's a sign of a good villain, but that doesn't mean I liked her.

As a reformed character in the Season 5 finale, I HATED her. She went all-out "try to destroy the world" just because her feelings got hurt. It wasn't even Sunburst's cutie mark's fault, rather the way the system was set up that told ponies "cutie-marked ponies are superior to blank flanks". Don't get me wrong, I loved the finale, but the ending was really rushed and just... awful. Not Equestria Girls levels of awful, I just thought it was a cheap cop-out to actual character development.

I'm beginning to warm to her a bit now though. First off, I'm glad that she got a new mane style, I never really liked the old one. Secondly, I think the show's trying to pull a Sunset Shimmer with her, what with the way she acts, talks, and has a special connection to Twilight. And hey, Sunset Shimmer's character arc was brilliant, so Starlight's can't be so bad. It was even made better with her reuniting with Sunburst, and I really hope we get to see more of him. I really like her role as Twilight's student -- a good friend to the rest of the ponies but still NOT in the Mane 6.

Just hope there aren't too many "Sunset Shimmer"s this season. One is great, two is cool, three would be awful. Even more awful if it's someone like Trixie, who is just a good villain.

(Still hoping we get to see Trixie again, I'd love to see her try and turn Starlight back towards the dark side)
