KillerKingBakudan 702 May 24, 2016 #1 Share May 24, 2016 I don't seriously expect them to address this in the show, but I know I can't be the only one who's thought about it. Birds are notorious for crapping on everything from the sky, except they do it out of necessity. Pegasi would have no reason to do it other than spite. The thought of committing the act would have had to cross their minds at some point. This is the perfect way Rainbow Dash could get back at any pony that pissed her off. She's fast enough that if she calculated her flight correctly, she could unload a big one on some pony's head and get away with it scot-free. Yet the worst thing she ever did was kick a raincloud above the CMC. And after all the bad things Trixie did in Ponyville, she's lucky she didn't get a whole gang of pegasi to decorate her wagon with fat, steaming piles of it. There's so much potential for things to get out of hand here, yet there isn't a single hint of this being done by even the most immature of fillies. So other than common decency, what do you suppose is really keeping the pegasi from doing it? 4 No questions asked. Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,893 May 24, 2016 #3 Share May 24, 2016 Uh huh. Interesting question. I would think common decency is the majority of the reason to not do it. On top of that, I have a huge feeling that it is illegal to do such a thing. That could be assault technically. Or some form of endangerment. Fecal matter isn't exactly the healthiest thing out there, so you bet pegasi police would be contacted. If there is such a thing. Sure, RD could be super fast, but could she live with the guilt? I just realized what I am getting in depth about here. Oh well. WORLDBUILDING! : D

Technically, we all could do this kind of stuff scot-free and we don't need wings to do it... :'D Shitting on people's doorsteps while nobody's watching or throwing bags of feces at people... Common decency (and fear of revenge) keeps me from doing it to my douchebag of a neighbour, soo... I guess the pegasi could feel the same. 4 click here! ♥
Truffles 2,033 May 24, 2016 #5 Share May 24, 2016 Which leads to the inescapable realization that any pony thinking about building a residence under her cloudominium is a really bad idea... I think Rainbow’s standards are too high to do that sort of thing on top of somepony's head; their house or possessions? Yeah, I could see that happening if the show wasn't Y-7. Are you a Spike fan? Sunny Fox 5,952 May 24, 2016 #6 Share May 24, 2016 What do you mean "aside from common decency"? That is literally the only answer you need to understand why they don't do such things. Even Equestria has its share of douchebags that would jump at any chance to shit on a pony they don't like. So what I really mean is, what's physically stopping them from doing it? If there's a law against it, which I'm sure there is, how could they possibly enforce it? Catching a pony with wings isn't exactly easy, since most of the time, there's no reason for anyone to look up. No questions asked.
darkwingmare 1,321 May 24, 2016 #8 Share May 24, 2016 I think that'd have a lot to do with proper manners. XD You simply don't poop on somepony because you feel like you need to go. Also, they are more civilized than our world's birds are, meaning... Pooping out in the open probably is kind of awkward for them. “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. Maybe the penalty is stiff enough that pegasii simply don't dare try it. Heck, maybe Celestia has a "wing removal" spell to go with her supposed (sarcasm here) "wing granting" spell. Since the Wonderbolts seem to have other duties outside of performances (such as responding to dragon attacks, see Secret of My Excess), maybe they chase down any pegasus who tries to exact fecal vengeance and throw the book at them. We are talking about colored horses flying over your head, not random birds. In big cities, many ponies would see them. In Ponyville, most of them know each other. It would work if it was done from very high in the sky, but pegasi could be able to track them anyway. Who knows, perhaps they wrote it down when the three tribes united together : "Dontcraponourheadsplz" 2 Signature made by Pucksterv
PiratePony 8,485 May 24, 2016 #12 Share May 24, 2016 Same reason you don't take a crap on someone's lawn or car that you don't like. We aren't "animals" and neither are Equestrian Ponies.
