Your OC has been offered a spot on the show.

Probably not, given that my main OC is an alicorn. The backlash from fans would be terrifying. O_o

Probably not, Holly is special to me, and I'd hate to no longer have ownership of her. :(

That's pretty much the case with me. Considering the time & effort that went into their backstories & designs, as well as the money spent on commissions to bring those designs to life, I'm pretty much emotionally attached to all of my characters. No way I could give them up for that. :(

I would not do it. It would be nice for them to be on the show, but Foxy Socks is my OC, based from me (not exactly like me, like they are female, but have a similar personality and interests), and I would not want to give her away and lose ownership.

I know it sounds silly assuming it did happen, but she is my idea and I don't want to give her away.

I'd be fine with it. I'm okay with no having full ownership of my OC, since we don't really have legal ownership of it since the mlp ponies belong to Hasbro, and my OC doesn't have a very complex backstory. It'd be really cool to see my OC on the show, plus I bet you'd get a ton of free fan-art.  :-P

In a heartbeat . I can't draw, so I always have to use the pony creator when making an Oc. I put a lot of thought into the history and personality. But, you know what? For 100 bucks I can a new OC it might not be mine anymore since Hasbro owns it.

But, I have very low self confidence , so to think they'd choose mine over any one else's OC will give me confidence. I'd be flattered and have an extra hundred in my pocket.

I get full rights to their backstory which must be completed in the form of a movie. My character has a very dark and tragic past and my head cannon story would delve deep into themes of extreme bullying, suicide and anger that only shows like moral oral would even touch lol. They do that than sure!

My OC doesn't have a proper background or even an interesting design but yes I probably would. I've always thought that my OC is so dull that it wouldn't require much effort to create a new one.  :please:  And if everyone knew that it was my character and I got the money, it'd really be worth it.

If it's a little pony they own your character already. Payment should be considered extremely generous, and the reality surrounding the pony and its use in fan works and online would not change.

So yeah, I'd do it.

I would absolutely let them use it! That would be awesomeB)

If I didn't like what they did with the character, I'd just pretend the scene(s) that featured my OC never happened.

That's the great thing about fiction--if you don't like something, just ignore it.

The Brony Code:

Humans are a lie, there are only ponies. Through ponies, I gain friendship.

Through friendship, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory.

Through victory, my chains are broken. Ponies shall set me free.

  • 4 weeks later...

Frostflame would be a great antagonist on the show... though it'd be very unlikely because of how his backstory is, too tragic, and violent for the show. They'd probably shoot down the idea within the first minute of it being suggested.

Are you kidding?

If ANYONE has read any of The Blackwater Quarry stuff, they'd know that I've practically created an entire spin-off; to see Luther, Vylia, Oglevy and ESPECIALLY Dax in an episode would bring tears to my eyes and joy to my heart.

Oh... but to have the entire quarry featured in one...

Yeah, I know it's never gonna happen... but I can DREAM, can't I?   :adorkable:

I'd take on the offer unless I'm super attached to the OC they want and/or the pay is too low (and a hundred bucks for a normal OC I'm not deeply in love with sounds about right at this time). It's because that, while it would no longer belong to me, at the very least I would be proud to have a company like Hasbro want something I've created and I'd also get some extra cash for it, giving me the feeling of accomplishment.

After all, as an aspiring graphic designer/animator, having someone want something I made (or wants something made for them) who is willing to pay nicely for it is a good thing, not to mention I'm an official artist on another site and it actually works almost exactly the same way the OP describes (people know I drew the image and everything, but it is ultimately the property of the site).

I mean are we talking my main? cause id doubt they would want a sarcastic dry humor lacking in friendship pony in the show plus she has piercing's...but hey i guess i could make another...? i don't know i mean 100 bucks then yes..

Sure! 100 bucks for losing a character I made up? I'll take it! Only thing I don't like is people knowing it was mine; the backlash will probably be huge.

This isn't pretty but it's what I am tonight.

No.  My character means more to me than that. It may just be a fanfiction character in a fanfiction story or two, but it is something I spent a lot of time fleshing out and working on.
