What if You Got Equestrian Magic?

As we've seen in the movies multiple times, Equestrian magic used by humans who don't have a special connection to Equestria (Or maybe the Elements specifically?) tend to have... Odd effects. It corrupts humans, completely destroys their moral compass and makes them obsessed with their initial goal for using magic. For example;

 

Twilight wanted to learn more about magic, but when she gor magic-crazed, she was willing to tear the entire world apart to understand ALL the magic.

 

My question is, what would happen to you if you got corrupted by magic? As when you're corrupted, it makes you obsessed with your greatest desires with no care for anything else, so it might be interesting to imagine such situation.

i am convinced that if i had "powers" that corupted me, i would be roughly the same... only i would probably "punish" those whom are..."bad"...

Well, if I got Equestrian magic, I have to remember the saying that Uncle Ben told Peter Parker regarding his powers as Spider-Man: "With great power comes great responsibility."

 

I would have to make sure I used my Equestrian magic for good, not evil, and make sure I could control it so it would not destroy me through corruption by having a strong force of will to fight off the corrupting influence. Having friends would help out a lot as well since they could help me gain control of it so it would not corrupt me.

If I got Equestrian magic, I would basically use it to make my day to day life easier. If I got corrupted it would be due to starting to overuse it and become addicted to the magic.

I would probably use it to just continue learning and amassing information. If I were corrupted, I would probably just do what most beings with incredible knowledge do... create some horrible monster to stomp on the world or something.

Well I actually discovered equestrian magic in a dream from a while back. It was actually a thing called universal energy. It was basically active dark energy. I then used it to create the ponies from MLP and fix society with it. I even created equestria with it in the end... I'm actually wondering if I will actually do this in the future or not.
