What's your favorite Halloween candy?

Halloween really is a fun time, and it seems to come and go so quickly (for me anyway). It's my second favorite holiday next to Christmas, and since I'm a parent, I get to experience the joys of Trick-Or-Treating like I did as a kid. Plus since she's only 5, I get to snag quite a bit for uh....being a good parent reasons?

So, this begs the question:

What's your favorite Halloween candy?

My favorite candy overall is Snickers. Bar none.

I love candy corn, and only experinece it about once a year....however I got no fix this year and probably won't because our candy haul was too big, and we have about 6 bags left over from overestimating trick-or-treaters (plus a handy glitch at CVS got us $12 bags of candy for $1 booyah).

I also like seeing candy you never seen any other time of the year:  Dots, Milk Duds, Sixlets: stuff like that.

Tootsie Rolls...you can burn collectively. No bueno.

Also to the parent who gave out small plastic wrapped red and white mints as Halloween candy.....no,. What did you do go into your local diner and snag the whole giveaway bowl as part of your Halloween shopping. Good thing I give out the primo candy and have protected our neighborhood kharmically (yeah if you want the snickers, the milky ways, the Reese's peanut butter cups, come to Pirate Pony's house. One day I'm going to go Full Size Bars...that's the dream).

Anyway, back to you:

All of the candy! No but seriously, I suppose I'd have to go with Reese's Peanut Butter cups and Kit Kat bars.

As for why, I'm not entirely sure but I can say that I've never been too big of a fan of chocolate only candies/baked goods, or chocolate on chocolate and If I do eat it, I can't eat a lot.  When I eat chocolate, I always go for the chocolate separated by something else (Caramel, wafers, cookies, peanut butter, peanuts and almonds, etc).  So, for example: While I don't eat a lot of regular, plain M&Ms, I absolutely love M&Ms with peanuts.

I can't speak for your neighborhood... but usually houses that do that get revisits by the neighborhood kids with large amounts of eggs and toilet paper.

Karma is one of those things.

I love chocolate as much as the next person.. but I have always had a thing for Skittles and Life Savers growing up, so they remain my favorites.

M&Ms with peanuts is always a welcome addition as well.

Since I bought my own Halloween candy, these chocolate-filled mint sweets were my favorites. Mint and chocolate are a great combination so that's very probably why I like them so much. The stripy wrapper is pleasant for the eyes too!

...There are so many of them left though. There hasn't been anyone to share with.  ^_^

While I don't take part in trick-or-treating anymore, I will still eat candy from the bowl we hand it out from! I sometimes fond myself eating more than I should.

Some of my favorite candies include:

  • Skittles (regular and sour)
  • Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (regular and white)
  • Kit Kat (regular and white)
  • Sour Patch Kids
  • Airheads
  • Twix
  • Butterfinger
  • Nerds
  • Crunch (regular and white)

Are we talking Halloween themed candy, or any candy? The best is John Candy, very funny. My favorite candy food is Snickers. But Reeses peanut butter cups are good. I wish they would make just a jar of the peanut butter. As for Halloween candy, I like gummies that are shaped like gross things. I find that amusing.

I don't go trick-or-treating so much for myself anymore, I just go to escort kids with my friends. But if I should feel it's necessary to 'inspect' some candy, I love to inspect candy corn the best. Smarties are a close second.

Some candy, like Tootsie Rolls and Milk Duds, I'll allow to pass without scrutiny. I don't like 'em and I can see why they're not generally seen outside of Halloween time.

I once got some Cookie Dough candies and that was officially my Halloween high point, probably forever.  :orly:

  • 3 years later...

Coffe crisp!!!  When I lived with my mom, she used to save the coffee crisps for me in the boxes of candy she'd get for kids because she knew not many ate those around where we lived.  The little bars taste the best imo.
