Following the finale though, I was and still am pumped for it. Burn Notice went on for 7 seasons, and it was all gravy. What's the plural on that? It's not like they are pulling the Star Trek trick of ending a season on the first part of a two parter. And given that one of my other fandoms had multiple long-term hiatuses: 18 months for one, two 7 years ones, and a 2 year one; I really don't think about it too much anymore. LeafFerret 3,382 December 15, 2016 Share December 15, 2016 I'm really anxious about Season 7, I think this will be the peak of the series for me since the previous season was more of an experiment with Starlight whether she'll become the new central character or not. I feel that it will focus on the Mane 6 is false since it's all words right now plus they haven't had much of a role in the two parters together since the *cough*Season 4 finale*cough*. I highly doubt they would go back to it's old ways since it has been too long plus people can lose interest easily if you're not careful. Sig by Kyoshi. I always get anxious about whether or not they're going to follow through on my wishes such as episodes with more stallion and colt focus and development (especially Big Macintosh). But on the other hand, one can always assume that the creative staff have read our posts on these forums and are willing to take this idea into consideration. But my fear about season 7 is that it's going to fall into certain status quo in which it will still continue to keep the focus directly on Mane 6, CMC, and Starlight Glimmer. I would like to start seeing a little more news being released here and there. We know almost nothing about Season 7. We had a few more bits of information on Season 6 at this time simply because of how Season 5 developed. I'm hoping that some of the new writers from Six learned from the experience and will improve. As I've said before, although I still liked season 6, the second half felt weaker than the rest of the series. I'm hoping it can rebound in season 7, though. Season 6 was a season that felt unfulfilling, and I attribute that to the biggest writers of the show forgoing the Mane 6 in favor of their new pet and I have no reason to think this will change at all. Many of the problems I have have been around for a long time but the show has not even once gone out of it's way to address them, and even if they do it now in season 7, it would feel more like they have to do it on a check box than having any real passion behind it, that they're being told to write this story instead of wanting to write it. My biggest fear is that the passion in the writing staff is gone. The fact Hasbro needs to come out and say the Mane 6 are still the focus, that the characters I love are still respected and wanted to be written by the staff is all the more disparaging in my view because it shows that they're not. In all things considered, I don't really care when it comes out though, just as long as it has some of the things on my wishlist. Especially the Manehattan CMC one! I think a lot of the problems with Season 6 were the result of having an inexperienced showrunner at the helm. If the rumors are true and Mike Vogel is in charge, I think we'll be in good hands for Season 7.
