Well I start a new Semester Tomorrow and I'm going to be working overtime. Im a 2nd year 2nd semester student and I recently decided I want to get into medical school. So now I'm taking tons of additional classes and have to actually work and study. But honestly its not too bad. College isn't "hard" per say its just your work ethic. If you do the work, go to class, study your notes, you'll do fine.

I'm studying Business Administration right now in first year.  I like that there are not very many classes each week so I ended up with a 3 day week last semester which was mostly nice.  I have to take the bus for over an hour each way to school which is kind of nice as well since I have time to read.  I love that you don't have to spend entire courses on pure algebra or English because I found those courses a waist of time in High School.  All the multiple choice tests are nice since I like multiple choice more then short answer.  I just find the learning material much more interesting overall then in High School.

 

My schedule is varies like crazy ranging from getting up at 10:30 in the afternoon then playing video games until 2pm to getting up at 5:30am to catch a bus then getting home by 7pm the same day.  8am classes really suck so far since I need to get up at 5:30 for them which is really something which I am not good at anymore after I started working nights over the Summer.  Socially University (Collage) is pretty bad for me since all the group work is done outside of class and over the internet.  Lunches or breaks in between classes everybody is either talking with their friends or plugged into their cell phones talking with others that way.  Never really managed to have much of a conversation with anybody so far with the exception of one person.  All the stress from everything going on has causes my Anxiety to act up again so it's not much fun trying to get that under control.

I'm only done with one semester at the moment, but overall it feels much more chill and laid back from high school. Haven't taken anything major specific yet, so I can't say anything about anything Computer Science related, but overall classes feel much....easier, to be quite honest. Everything you need to know for the course (in terms of grading) is lined out for you in a syllabus at the very beginning of the course, which makes it very easy to stay on top of things as long as you stay organized. Nothing can really surprise you.

 

Maybe I'm not really the lively type, but an average day for me is pretty boring. Wake up, go to class for a few hours, eat lunch, and then I'm off to do whatever I please. Homework and studying hasn't felt overbearing at all, and all of the free time feels nice and relaxing. When the weekend comes, there are a lot of student clubs and stuff that make it easy to get involved in something you're interested in. This also helps sort of cure the boredom from having so much free time.

 

I guess in general it's really slow, or laid back. When people say you have a lot of free time in college, they're not kidding. Hell, I'd say they're understating it.

I'm a freshman right now, just getting started with my second semester. I am a psychology major studying at a smaller university with only about 12,000 students. So thank goodness I don't have any classes with more than maybe 75 people. As far as the actual classes are going, it's just boring old general ed classes with only class for my major. I have all of them in the morning and the early afternoon so I can take it easy or study all afternoon.

 

I suppose I should bring up extracurricular stuff too. I am part of a couple of random Christian organizations, plus I recently started getting involved with this cool nerd club called Illuminerdy I actually encountered another brony there just yesterday, which makes two that I know in real life. While I am still super shy sometimes, it's nice to get to hang out with more like-minded people who aren't as judgemental as high school students.

This year, there's security, advanced software topics, final term project and an elective. This being the last year, they've finally given us room to breathe and work on our own thing. Up until this point, it's literally been burning on all thrusters to get everything done. At least one coding project and/or research paper was due every week, so most of my time was allocated outside the classroom to get the work done. Pretty crazy to be honest, you couldn't stop churning or you risked falling behind in everything else.

 

I'm happy that all my classes end at 12ish. I get the whole afternoon free to work on the final project or other class projects, to exercise a bit and to just derp around the forums. It's a very welcome change of pace.

When it comes to the social aspects: you always hear people say that college/university is supposed to be the best time of our lives but for me it sucks. I'd much prefer to go back to high school! I don't like the people in my uni, I have zero friends and thanks to that I developed depression so yeah no thanks

And the stuff I learned? Quite a lot and I'm happy with that! Too bad I can't even take joy in what I do when I feel just awful :<

Unlike everyone else, I was at college--eventually university and then online courses at home--until 2013 when I finally graduated after attending post secondary institutions since 2000. Every year, I had a schedule that involved giving me a break between classes that lasted one to four hours so I had to hang around the building more often than I wanted. If not for the computer lab, I'd have been bored out of my mind after the first thirty minutes. Getting to college and back was a nightmare as it involved using two buses and a train though for university, I had to use three buses with one being infrequent.

I'm currently studying cyber kinetics and advanced chemical engineering. I going for a masters degree. Need a lot more months to graduate both of them.

 

I do study anatomy and alchemy from certain books based off these certain categories. About few times or more every week I spend time hitting the books and write down almost a notebook of information.

 

The alchemy and anatomy are for my own studies. The other two are for college. Just to be specific here. What I do like is the interesting things that I learn from these subjects.

 

​What I don't like is that its that the experiments I perform for chemical engineering is very time consuming and a delicate procedure. One wrong move and  a accident may occur.

Well I recently finished my first semester, and I liked it. I'm majoring Computer Science, and I'll take my first Computer Programming class when the spring semester starts next week. Me on campus is just walking the streets of Manhattan since it's a Community College. It also means that I'm not far from home.

 

As for my classes, they're more condensed for the spring rather than sporadic like the fall semester.

My school days are BORING. I only ever go outside for my next class, to my locker, or to go to the bathroom. At recess and lunch, I just stay inside and do homework or study.

I'd be lucky to get 30 minutes of sunshine each school day.

I graduated a week and a half ago. It was a series of ups and downs. It was a painstaking 5 years of good, bad, and the ugly.

I remember going to group meeting that started from 2:00PM to 11:00PM.

Coming to class at 8:00AM and leaving at 7:00PM.

Staying in the library for 5 hours studying for exams.

Driving home late at night, and driving to class late.

Dropping and adding classes because of the teacher or taking this class because it's the only one available.

Doing the same stressful thing over and over again.

Fights and disputes between group members and sending death threats

Staying up until 6am in the morning finishing a project report.

Dealing with hard and nasty teachers.

Getting 1-2 hours of sleep everyday.

Driving almost everyday and looking for parking.

Taking summer classes and wasting your summer vacation.

And many more I remember.....

But in the end, it was all worth it. Walking down that aisle and getting your college diploma. It was one of the best milestones, I ever had. Looking back on it, it was a hard work of 5 years and it was worth it.

Back when I was college during the first semester, I went to classes for half the day, and the rest of the day I did homework, socialized, played video games, and browsed the internet. Sometimes I would also do other activities like go to the library or do some workouts.

Can't say it was enjoyable. It was on the coast so it rained all the time (which sucked because I was in the second most remote dorm), the one good dining hall was only open for three hours on week days, every professor (well, all but three of the professors I had) were boring and so much worse in every way than my high school teachers, the campus itself was acceptable, the library was massive, the students were terrible and inconsiderate, and the city it's set in is a cesspool (the whole Virginia Beach area is just one big mistake, tbh).

I’m in my first year, and first semester. All my classes and homework are online, only part of this school that ISN’T online are the internships. Those aren’t until the start of my second and last year. I’m majoring in veterinary technology, just a simple 2 year associate’s degree program. I like it so far I guess, just the studying and exams and essays and all that shiz I hate it but....at least it won’t be forever.

My college life consisted of some great professors, some not so great ones, a whole lot of work and a nose to the books. And I managed to graduate and get a piece of paper of no value to most work places.

I got my degree in Management. I wanted to play Baseball in college so I could potentially get attention from scouts in the MLB, but I got injured before freshmen year and never tried out. But even with my only motivation gone, I still got through just fine

I finished college not so long ago.

Chemical engineering, specialized in both wood and celulose technologies and in bioengineering.

My college years were... hrm... a mix.

I really miss them, because I made most of my best friends at college. But I moved back to my hometown to keep a promise.

On the other hoof, many really awful things happened along the way and I had to get through mostly everything on my own when shit hit the fan. Is a mixed feeling, honestly. My first semester FiM was premiered. The internet was super awesome. I was dating the girl I've ever loved the most. We were from 2 totally different worlds. She was studying arts and she was wealthy but not too smart, and I was a nerd who had to live at his aunt's house because I was too poor to afford a room. I met many people along the way, and while people saw me super weird because of the ponies and the awful second clothing I had to wear along with the crooked chin and the scars from several fights I went through from a few years back, somehow most of them stopped minding and actually treated me ok. Some friends passed away before we finished college, some others dropped. Most of them finished just fine. I got behind thanks to my bad luck and lack of a decent computer. I remember the days I had to go to the labs, I also remember when I started game development and one of my teachers suggested me to consider getting a master degree on computer sciences. I also remember the first few semesters when one of my highschool friends would be so low on bits I would share part of mine to grab some cheap hotdogs so he would not starve for the day. I used to end up walking miles back home, but it was worth it. My friend is a successful engineer nowadays.

There are soooo many things I could talk about on my college days. Things I'm glad I did, many others I regret (like dropping music until now, I would have been busting tracks with the ones from the golden age of the fandom!).

All in all, college was awesome disregard the obstacles and bad experiences along the way.
