I've always seen pansexuality and bisexuality as nearly synonymous. But i'm straight.

I don't know but MLP Forums has a ton of bisexuals.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

---

You know something I always wondered...

While I do know the difference between bisexual and pansexual, bisexual refers to attraction to both male and female sex, whereas panexual refers to attraction to any gender... (and thus by default, refers to attraction to all sexes).

So, what I've wondered is...

Since bisexual refers to male and female sex, rather than gender...

It seems like there's a sexuality missing.  Now, I know this could be taken harshly, but I don't mean it as such...  As a bisexual, I am attracted to males and females, but I could be attracted to people who don't identify with the same gender as their sex is.  But I'm not attracted to all sexes or genders.

> In before "this phobe and that phobe"

No.  I'm not a "phobe" of any sex or gender.  I'm just not attracted to all of them.

Let me give an example...

I could be attracted to someone of male or female sex, who identifies as male, female, androgynous, or genderfluid, or genderqueer (to name the first that come to mind).

On the other hand, I'm not attracted to intersex folks, and I'm not attracted to trans folks.

(Again, not "phobe."  It's just an attraction or non-attraction.  That's all.)

So, I'm not pansexual, because I'm only attracted to those of male of female sex.  But is bisexual too limiting?

I don't know.  Either way, I'm currently in a relationship, so it's not a big deal right now.

I love my women! Completely straight but completely cool with people into other sexualities!

"I could have been happy above if I'd never donned the copper carapace and dipped my head beneath the waves to hear the muddled man-made sounds. Distorted and dreamlike droning. The whir and thrashing of a distant propeller, the tumultuous thundering thud of fogbound freighters. Mud underfoot, no sights, except the grasp of a diver's trained hand, dreaming of distant lands knowing all the while this is what I love, not the blue skies and wondering faces above. Canvas, rubber, brass, copper, and glass. Leather and lead, mud and sweat, heaving around in dark, damp depths seldom seen by most yet talked about by all. As if a sunny, happy place where mermaids and seahorses play and chests of gold are lain bare, untarnished by salt and time for all to grasp who are bold enough to go below..." -"Deep Sea Diver", Steven L. Waterman

Sexually, I'm attracted to anyone I find cute who has a good personality. Romantically/emotionally I prefer non-male gender (eg. Female, agender, genderfluid, etc). Personality is the main determiner for me which is why I identify as Pansexual.

I don't know.

Can someone please explain for I can find out?

Tell us about how you feel towards people sexually, don't be ashamed.

I'm pansexual myself. I went from thinking I was straight, to thinking I was bicurious, to knowing with 100% certainty that I was indeed pansexual.

Now, how do you feel towards men? Any sexual attraction at all? Any romantic attraction?

What about women? Any attraction there?

Can someone tell me the difference between all these weird sexualities?

Ignoring gender differences for now:

Asexual - Someone who does not wish to have a sexual relationship with another. They may (and often do) have emotional and romantic attachments though. Some asexuals have no sexual drive in general, but feel arousal towards their partner.

Heterosexual - Someone who likes people of the strictly opposite sex

Homosexual - Someone who likes people of the strictly same sex

Bisexual - Someone who likes both males and females

Pansexual - Someone who likes males, females, and [intersexed, trans, agendered] individuals. Pansexuals often state that personality is the most important thing when considering desire for another.

(The following two are rare)

Non-heterosexual - Someone who does not like the strictly opposite sex

Non-homosexual - Someone who does not like the strictly same sex

(I'm not sure if there is a non-bisexual orientation)

Thanks! Now I can see crystal-clear why this generation is stupid (with genders/sexualities)

All generations have been stupid, but with the creation of the internet, stupid people are more easily found.

Do I really need to answer this thread for the fortieth time, or should I just post this? I'll just go with this: My sexuality on my profile, and also earlier in this thread.

Screw that. Here my sexuality is again.

I'm a transgendered pansexual heteroromantic.
