mega thread What is your sexuality ?

Did the Kinsey test. I'm a one, which basically means an open-minded heterosexual.

What I find laughably hilarious is how even the Kinsey scale seems too complex for some people. Even still, that's a very big oversimplification.

Not only is there a homo/hetero gradient, but we also need one for:

Asexual/hypersexual

Dominant/submissive

Gender identity

Romantic/aromantic

Comfortable/shy

Mono/poly

And so on. Things even get infinitely more complex once you account for fetishes. While fetishes are, by definition, held only by a minority, almost everyone has at least one. That takes the Kinsey scale, brings it to 3D floating points, and then tears wormholes through its fabric.

So, I just think it's funny how "sexuality" refers only to attraction preference, when it's actually sooooooo much more complex.

The fact that I'm straight tells you less about my sexuality than literally any other possible descriptors.

I saw in one of your later posts that you took it, but for those not in the know a sexologist (Last name Kinsey because everyone names things after themselves.) created a scale to place your sexuality on, in an attempt to broaden the grey area between heterosexuality and homosexuality. It's a scale of 0-6, with 0 being completely heterosexual and 6 being completely homosexual. I get a 3, because I am a pansexual.

Yeah, I soon found that to be the case with the thing. I scored with a 6 on that, which I kinda saw coming considering the fact I really have never felt "heterosexual" really at all, and always have kinda had "secret thoughts" about what would happen to me if I ever actually didn't abide by the whole social norm and everything...... I don't know... long story short, I'm trying to say I didn't want to ever really try to accept that I thought I was gay ever because I was afraid of various sources and such......... Meh... at least I tried to explain something here. .-. Sorry, always seem to be really bad with explanations.

Now I have to say though, I'm quite honestly terrified to even suggest to my parents, or a lot of my friends, (even a couple on here even) that I honestly am certain I'm gay should the topic arise at any point.

People are horrid creatures. Bumping into them accidentally is enough for me. Stay away!

^^Hey, it looks like my mindset there from since I started school.

Here's what I realize for now:

In terms of Romantic and Physical attraction. I'm a Herero. But in terms of Sexual attraction/Desire, I'm not sure if I feel it and I feel like I'm somewhere on the asexual spectrum. I'll possibly feel and realize it when I fall in love or feel some type of significant bond, which could make me demisexual thus, putting me on the asexual spectrum. I don't feel sexual attraction to strangers. Therefore porn nor sex scenes do nothing for me. It's always been like this for me. Trust me, I'm not broken.

Sorry, I wrote a lot in the spoiler tag. So if anyone wants to read it, go ahead. Might be a bit offensive against certain religions(I think???), but I'm just venting a bit with my rage against gay shaming. No need to read if you get easily offended. You've been warned!

Most of our dear bronies on this forum seem to be straight and straight with pride, too. Nothing wrong with that, of course, as long as you can be open minded to people who aren't as straight as you are. Which most are, in our awesome brony community. It's one of the best things about our community too, we're pretty much all accepting and understanding.

BUT, I'd be happy if people weren't so damn scared to ever be referred to anything gay. If you have a more fancy way of speaking? AW MAN, THAT'S GAY. If you're a guy that gets scared easily? GAY. A girl that likes to have short hair and bigger clothes? DAMN, THAT'S GAY. It's NOT shameful to be gay and gay doesn't have any stereotypes!! There are literally NOTHING that can specify how gay someone is. There are a lot of straight guys who speak fancy, care about their looks and is easily frightened, or gets a bit disgusted if they get dirt on them. Some guys aren't as manly as others, and that's OKAY. Some girls aren't as girly as others, and that's OKAY. There, I needed to get it out of my system. It just pisses me off how dumb society comes out to be.

Being GAY is not a negative thing. Don't take me the wrong way not but, some religions are bullshit, and very ridiculous for making it look so shameful in our society to do anything outside the term "normal". Not only religion though, but I feel as if there is a lot of issues around just that. Gay and trans people, why, even bisexual people, have to suffer in their daily life because of who they are. It's NOT OKAY. No more stupid rules! THANK YOU!

Anyway. I, myself am Pansexual. If you don't know of that term, Google it. I have a girlfriend for the time being, I've been with her for 3 years. So, it's going well. I'm proud of all of you guys, writing about your sexualities on here. I'm mentally patting your shoulder right now.
