KatonRyu 1,033 April 10, 2017 Share April 10, 2017 I don't have one, only an old fan my girlfriend and I lug from room to room when it's hot. I foresee a lot of that again this summer.
Victoria Sponge 1,017 May 31, 2017 Share May 31, 2017 I did when I lived in South Africa but in the UK no houses come with them installed, we usually just use fans or open the windows.

BlueStreak98 828 May 31, 2017 Share May 31, 2017 Yup! It's hot and humid enough here in the summers that it's pretty much a necessity. gali-la 4 September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 Yeah, I do. I actually have three in my house. Two on either side of the building, and one on the second floor. That might seem like an overkill but during the really bad summers, they are a god send.
Hachiroku 127 September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 Yes but I think it's broken because sometimes it just stays stuck at like 78 degrees.

SparklingSquirrels 21,345 September 29, 2017 Share September 29, 2017 Yes I have one in my house. Definitely something I take for granted in the summer... I was in Europe and several of the hotels didn't have air conditioning; it was pretty gross ֍֎֍֎

Jackie Snack 1,498 September 29, 2017 Share September 29, 2017 Nah. I think only 20% of housing in Washington state has any AC at all. We have, instead, 6 fans. Wanna meet Jackie?Check out my fics!Artists I recommend!

StormBlaze 992 September 29, 2017 Share September 29, 2017 air...... conditioner?? what is this magical device you speak of? Seriously though, no. Its not really a standard thing to own in a house here in the UK. only time i ever get to see or use one is in hotels or various work places. at home, we just put 3 desk/floor fans on. Cirrus. 1,089 October 4, 2017 Share October 4, 2017 My house has central A/C. It usually is set to 82 degrees F though so it doesn't kick on a whole lot. I have ceiling fans and some smaller desk ones too. I only turn it down cooler for a little while If I get hot from doing work or if I have company. Since it does the whole house, it can get expensive to run. The heat doesn't bother me too much but the humidity really does, especially when trying to sleep. I remember when I was about 12 the A/C at my parents house was broken for a year. Some nights that summer were pretty unpleasant, even with a fan. My neighbors' A/C seems to run 24/7 in the spring through early fall. It's so OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD. It sounds like it's ready to break. What's even dumber is that sometimes their WINDOWS are OPEN when it's on... I REALLY wonder what their electric bills are. Rainbow Rocks... at least how it could've looked... in a stranger, more interesting dimension For those who are wondering, Twilight is chewing bubble gum. Prospekt 11,018 October 4, 2017 Share October 4, 2017 Yes, I do. Both back at my family's home and in my dorm. Last year I lived in a dorm with no air conditioning but it was never bothersome on hotter days as long as I had a fan turned on in front of an open window. Feather Spiral 1,892 November 26, 2017 Share November 26, 2017 Not here in France, it's pretty chilly so we only have electrical radiators for the winter. In summer, all we gotta do is open the windows wide for an hour or two, once in the early morning and once at night before bedtime, as a passive "environmental A/C". There are also desk fans we can use in the living room and each bedroom, I guess that's the only active and "local" air conditioning we really do. Back in Turkey, I don't remember during my childhood, but our current apartment had one. I take writing commissions.
