dab is just a fad; origins of it date back to the early 2010s as a dance move in hip hop.  Dabbing has no meaning and really was only done because people are desperate to invent something new and hope that that will help their sales in the industry for making a cool new dance move, though I don't think it's that great.

I use it ironically, i'm pretty sure dabbing has died, the only people i see dabbing unironically is kids that still use fidget spinners .

No. Just no. It was considered "cool" in 2016, but now, it just gets overused by humans who don't even know the origin of dabbing. If you're going to dab, at least do it with some finesse.
